  1. He was unbelievable. This episode was right up there with any that they’ve ever done.
  2. I watched in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep. Jon Hamm >>>>>>
  3. I’ve negotiated after my free year 3 times. You can ALWAYS get a deal with them.
  4. Wasn’t the turnover chain started by Shaq Quarterman and Jaquan Johnson?
  5. Are we getting to the point where we stop liking our elite players because they are about to be paid like elite players? Why do we do that? No other fan bases do that (at least that I know of). Tre White is one of the best couple of CBs in the league. At some point he’s going to be given the richest contract a CB has ever received. That’s a day that we should be celebrating not a day that we should dread.
  6. If I had to guess McDermott had absolutely nothing to do with it. In fact, I’m fairly certain he didn’t even know it existed. That decision is made either in marketing or PR. Boyko would have been involved in the decision.

  8. Star’s contract prevents this from being a viable option IMO. I like Reader quite a bit but don’t think it’s realistic.
  9. The thread is exactly what it says. We’ve had a zillion different “the Bills should get ____” threads. The goal here is to make one bold prediction as to what you think that the Bills MAY do (not what you’d do). Mine: The Bills trade their 2nd round pick and a player to Cleveland for OBJ.
  10. He’s not my favorite prospect but I defer to Beane on all things. He’s done a nice job in the draft. I’ll trust him and not complain.
  11. I probably should have put that in the sarcasm font. The Bills DID and he wouldn’t agree. So often on here people play the “he’s not a process guy” card. The Bills had a trade worked out for Antonio Brown!! He’s one of the worst people in the league. The Bills aren’t only looking at choir boys. They are looking at people that they think will put them over the top.
  12. He’s not a process guy, the Bills would never
  13. They were never going to let him go. It sounds like hyperbole but Taysom Hill is, arguably, the most popular player on their team. He’s like Mike Jasper on steroids.
  14. I was actually thinking the same thing today. I’m a gym wiper but mostly because I’m a bit of a germaphobe. I feel like younger people are better about it but that may just be my perception. I’m 38 and feel like I kind of fall in the middle-aged club. I went at 10 AM today which is prime older crowd and they were wiping things down. I was impressed.
  15. They didn’t stop because they would have showed weakness. They would have admitted being wrong. Again, everything I’ve predicted on the topic for years is coming true. The CBA is a natural clean break. It downplays it. Instead of making it THE story it’s a piece of the story. I don’t know why you believe that the owners want it? You just said it wasn’t good for business. That’s the entire point. Both sides know that so it’s going away. In terms of the spin they’d absolutely play that hand of the league pushed back!! Again, that’s the point. That hand will NEVER get played because the league is in agreement with the players. They both want the same thing!! Also, referencing an NCAA poll from 2009 is laughable on the marijuana subject. That’s like asking people how often they drank during prohibition. The world in 2020 is NOTHING like 2009 on the subject.
  16. That’s fair (even though at the time many thought he should have set it).
  17. You’re missing my point. They will TRY to use this as a negotiating chip but both sides know that’s a bluff. The PR spin from the player’s would be so strong it would make the league look foolish. “They say that they care about player safety yet they hand out opioids like candy. Roughly 47,000 people die each year from opioid overdoses. The NFL has decided that’s a safer route for us as players. Do they care about us? They talk a big game but their actions say otherwise.” The league looks bad in 2020 suspending guys for weed. That’s just the way that it is. They know that. That is where we differ. You believe that the owner’s think it’s good for business. They don’t. They don’t like the idea of losing talent for something widely accepted and legal in MANY places. They get criticized for their position. Their league looks like it has a bunch of addicts when they are no worse than other leagues on the subject. Making it go away is what’s best for the owners and players.
  18. That’s probably close to right. Based on the guys that I know that played recently the overwhelming majority partake. It may be edibles, vape, etc... but it’s not a couple of guys doing it. It’s a couple of guys not.
  19. Not IMO, situations change. He was an extreme example, as an undrafted guy that was early in a HOF career. He’s the exception to the rule.
  20. I think that this is a good point. It was the wrong decision but may not have mattered.
  21. We 1,000% disagree on the subject. Everything I’ve said for years is coming to fruition as I said it would. The league cares about “the shield.” The perception of a drug problem is not good for “the shield.” It’s a self-imposed problem. The world, country and science has evolved greatly on the subject since the last CBA. The other leagues have adopted “don’t ask, don’t tell.” That’s what the NFL wants regardless of the other terms of the new CBA. They look foolish pumping out opioids and suspending for weed in 2020. This isn’t a negotiating chip because both sides want the same thing!! Now, in terms of other drugs maybe so. I’ll buy that. I’m ONLY talking about marijuana. Also, what’s your estimate on % of players that smoke? From my experience and the people that I know it’s well over 70%.
  22. Not wanting to be somewhere and wanting fair market value are 2 different things. Jason Peters wasn’t wrong; the Bills were. Now it wasn’t a total disaster because Wood turned out to be a quality player. The Bills certainly lost the trade though. They should have just paid Peters.
  23. He went for the pick that became Wood
  24. I fell in love with Nashville last year. I’d never really been there. That’s going on my list forever. Vegas is kind of a novelty and should be fun. I’m weird on that place though. I’ve been 6 times in my life. Twice I loved it, twice I hated it and twice I was indifferent. If either of those fall around Christmas though I’m probably out. I go back to Buffalo for that. I won’t do them back-to-back either.
