  1. I’d much rather pay Clowney than picks and money for Ngakoue
  2. You guys think Beane is in the office yet?
  3. I guess my point is Tyrod will win somewhere between 6 & 10 games there (if he plays all year). Jameis would win somewhere between 4 & 12. He’s been closer to the 4 win guy but has the ability to be at the other end of the spectrum. He can win you games and he can lose you games. Tyrod doesn’t do either. Jameis is absolutely more likely to win a Super Bowl but he’s not necessarily more likely to lead the team to a better record. That’s about all that I have on it though.
  4. You say that but he’s 24-21-1. He’s not going to win 4 games because he doesn’t make mistakes. Jameis is 28-42 and has talent around him. Jameis could absolutely be a 4 win QB. His floor is WAY lower and his ceiling WAY higher. If I’m Jacksonville I’d take a shot on Jameis too. If he’s good, you found your guy. If he’s bad, you pick early next year and can chase Fields or Lawrence. The goal of each team is different. The Chargers are trying to play good defense and not lose games (which Rivers absolutely did last year). They are trying to find their next franchise QB and will do that in the top 10. Jacksonville is already in tank mode. Jameis is the ultimate boom or bust. He makes sense in that situation.
  5. You aren’t going to win anymore games with Jameis under center than you are Tyrod. Jameis is an incredible talent and if the lightbulb ever went on he could be really good. With that being said, the Chargers are taking a guy either way. He would be there as a placeholder. He’s no better in that role than Tyrod. If I were the Patriots I’d absolutely take a swing at Jameis. He’s worth the gamble. He just doesn’t make any sense in a placeholder situation.
  6. Clowney hasn’t found the market that he thought he’d find. Now isn’t a bad time to try to slide in the back door and get him in. That would be the biggest “all in” move at this point.
  7. 1) Kansas City 2) Baltimore 3) Buffalo 4) Pittsburgh 5) Cleveland 6) Tennessee 7) Indianapolis 8 ) Houston 9) New England 10) New York 11) LA Chargers 12) Miami 13) Las Vegas 14) Denver 15) Cincinnati 16) Jacksonville

  9. Did they really need the pro day to know that Higgins lacks separating skills? I thought it was pretty obvious. ??‍♂️ So glad that they pivoted to Diggs instead.
  10. I’d take Dobbins because he’s more explosive but I like CEH too. I’d be happy either way. FIFY
  11. I don’t think there’s any doubt that they are selecting a QB. They are using Tyrod as the bridge. That only makes sense. He’s just like the other “bridge options” except already knows the system and is cheaper. Jameis threw 30 INTs. That hurts. That’s why they let him walk despite 5,200 yards. They just brought in Foles to compete with Trubisky. As I said, all interchangeable. There’s no reason to continue on the topic. We disagree and it will all play on over time.
  12. Not fooled, Ryan. He is. They are all interchangeable placeholders just with different strengths and weaknesses.
  13. Also, I don’t know if anyone is realizing how truly bad Rivers was at times last year. There are a lot of people that believe Tyrod would have led that team to a better record. He would have made less plays and less mistakes. That teams had some talent and Rivers was careless in 2019. They are no worse off short-term. The cap savings and addition of a rookie makes them even better.
  14. This is probably my list too. I’ll add Bradlee Anae as well.
  15. Tyrod is as good as the Foles/Dalton/Mariota/Jameis/Trubisky level guys. It makes sense financially as well. They’ll draft a guy and play Tyrod until the guy is ready. No reason to pay 2 placeholder types.
  16. The running backs (2 of the top 4 anyways). I think that the WRs (potentially Higgins, Mims and Shenault even) will be there. Pass rushers like Anae and the dude at UF. After the combine it feels like Diggs is the 2nd CB off the board. That’s just what the latest looks like. There may be some other CBs (the kid at Utah maybe) but Diggs will almost certainly be gone.
  17. That’s good work. I’d probably move DiMarco from lock to maybe. I’d probably move Neal to lock after the way he played late in the year. As a raw, young player he’s developed and is versatile. That’s nitpicking a little but overall really nice job!!
  18. I think Diggs will be off the board before the Bills pick. In fact, I’m not sure he would have been there at 22.
  19. I agree with that too. My list to my dad the other day was Mariota, Keenum and Brissett (if he shook loose). I want a guy with some resume of success but that knows his role.
  20. I’m maybe in the minority but I don’t want Jameis in New England. He has TONS of talent. If the lightbulb ever goes off he could be dangerous. I’d rather they add someone like Dalton that’s going to be pretty good but never dangerous. The price would have to be low for the Bills to add him but I’m not opposed at all. As we get closer to contention they need to upgrade Barkley IMO. If Josh were to miss a month they’d have to play .500 ball. Barkley isn’t that guy to me. I like him and Josh likes him so I think he stays. I’d rather he stay as the #3 though.
  21. Do you ever wonder if people start stupid threads just to get “likes?” Is it that important to build up your reputation points in an online community? Does anyone really care that much? Also, while you’re here please feel free to leave a “like” by clicking the thumbs up in the bottom right corner of this post. Thanks, Kirbs
  22. Guys, please, this is my last plea. Do not do the jersey nameplate exchange!! The instant you put that on you’re being judged by everyone around you. If you can’t afford a new jersey don’t be a jersey guy. If you are want to be a jersey guy on a budget buy a legend’s jersey. You can always wear a Kelly, Reed, Thomas, Bruce, etc... That way you still only invest once. The nameplate changeover and knockoff jerseys are not just embarrassing for you, they are embarrassing for our entire fan base (but mostly the person wearing it). Also, while we are here no number 69 jerseys like “YOURMOM” or “EVERYDAY.” There are children at these games. Lastly, no jerseys with your name on it either. You don’t play on the team and you never did. I don’t make the rules.
  23. I’m not sure if this was sarcasm or not but that happened here in New Orleans. When the Benson’s bought the Pelicans they put Mickey Loomis as the head of personnel for both teams. Obviously he wasn’t making basketball decisions (although that was actually more of his background). He was there as a trusted adviser until they found someone that they really trusted on the basketball side in David Griffin. That’s when Loomis went back to the Saints full-time. I’m not sure that I love that with Beane still being relatively new at the job. He’s really good though. As the Sabres search for someone to lead the FO the Pegulas should absolutely include Beane on the conversation. He knows what that job looks like from the inside. He can ask questions and see things that outsiders can’t. It’s like at my job how we interview any perspective sales people that we are considering bringing on. HR knows what to look for in a potential employee but we know what to look for in a potential salesperson. Oh, it’s moved quite a bit in recent years. One of the biggest criticisms of the Sabres demise is that Terry spends WAY more time in and around the Bills. He’s sort of treated the Sabres like a step-child. I’ve heard a lot of that.
