  1. I did!! My biggest bet of the year
  2. Me too...I took the Bills at +800 last year. I didn’t necessarily think that the Bills would win the division but at 8:1 I thought that the value was there. I don’t like Miami to win the division. I like Miami at 6 and 1/2 to 1 though.
  3. ...and just like that Antonio Brown has decided that he doesn’t want to return to the NFL.
  4. So sorry for your loss. Your family will be in the thoughts and prayers of all of us. May your family find peace.
  5. I’m going to check it out!! Looking for stuff to watch. Thanks for the recommendation!!
  6. Depending on how his contract works or Watson’s contract it may be possible IMO. I look at it as “possible” like a 1 point safety is possible. Technically, it could happen (maybe) but it won’t. If Watson leaves the Texans the ownership will have agreed to it.
  7. 100% agree Apparently season 3 is somewhere between the 2 in terms of reviews. It has to do with the KC mob. I have fairly high expectations for it.
  8. I don’t know the exact way it works but I can speak to the vetoed Chris Paul trade. That’s actually when I was working there so I know that one pretty well. David Stern didn’t step in as the Commissioner of the NBA but rather as the owner of the Pelicans. The league owned the team at this point. He didn’t do it in the best interest of the league but the Pelicans. I don’t know the specifics of the structure with the Texans. I just know the optics would be disastrous. The public backlash and cries of collusion would make O’Brien toxic (even to the Pats). He’d be committing career suicide (and that’s IF the Texans can’t step in). It just isn’t realistic that Watson can be traded without ownership on board. Now, O’Brien can lie and try to convince them that trading Watson is a good move. Maybe they will agree but I don’t think it’s possible to trade a franchise player, in any situation, without ownership approval. There are too many dominos tied to that player. The more likely scenario, IMO, would be O’Brien making Watson’s life miserable. He could try to force him out the door by just being an idiot. He’s off to a good start there.
  9. The GMs ultimately work for the owners. It’s like any other job. You probably have the authority to make minor decisions without running it through ownership. I’ll use the Bills as an example. I’m not sure that the Bills needed Pegula’s approval to bring in Kaare Vidvek. The Bills would absolutely need the Pegula’s approval to trade Josh. There’s no way BOB could deal Watson without ownership.
  10. I don’t know but I doubt it. The good news is that Houston ownership likely has to sign off on that deal. I’m pretty confident that ownership wouldn’t allow a lame duck coach to trade away the franchise QB.
  11. Ha ha, I’ll finish it up today and then back to staring at the wall until Friday when Ozark drops.
  12. Why? What else is taking up people’s time right now? This is a BIG opportunity for the NFL. They have the headlines. No other sports will be operating at that time. They certainly aren’t going to look for less exposure in that window.
  13. I think the exact opposite. I like Schefter’s idea of 1 round a day for a week. There is NOTHING else going on. This will give team’s more time to work through their boards which is especially important without pre-draft workouts and pro days. The TV audience will be massive even for the later rounds.
  14. My guess is that they just have some sort of continuation of their typical offseason program. These guys don’t really work out in public gyms anyways. I’m guessing that they still have their trainers and routines. While it will be a little different I don’t think it will be a big difference.
  15. If you compare that Pittsburgh team to this Pats team though that Pittsburgh team is probably better. They are better on the OL (imo), better skill players (even though they are overrated), better front 7 and an easier schedule. They won 8 games. As currently constructed this Pats team is a 6 win team (and that’s BECAUSE of BB).
  16. That’s fair on the OL but how much of the OL came from Brady? His pre-snap reads and quick throws certainly aided them. They may be okay but it isn’t going to matter if Stidham/Hoyer is back there. That’s especially true with their schedule. New England +100 Bills +180 Miami +650 Jets +750 These are the most recent that I have seen but there is some variance.
  17. I always chuckle at the Pats trauma we all take in. People are like “it’s a bottom 5 roster but they’ll definitely win 10+ games playing the toughest schedule in football.” Lol They lost 2 key LBs, their weapons are awful, OL average and have the worst QB situation in the league. This Pats team is not going to be good unless something drastic changes between now and the start of the season (ie healthy Cam goes there and is the Cam of 5 years ago). This team is like a 6 win team. And please, please, please, don’t give me, “but they always....” nonsense. Those teams were different from this team!! Even the Cassel team had a lot of talent. He had Welker and Moss, a strong OL, along with stars all over the defense. This team is NOTHING like that team. If you want to argue that I’m wrong do it based on THIS roster not what they’ve done in the past. Richard Seymour and Randy Moss aren’t going to be out there making plays this year.
  18. That was my initial thought. Let the music stop in the game of musical chairs and see where a seat may be available. This probably holds especially true for Cam if he is actually healthy. He will want to be cleared medically.
  19. Absolutely it is. The Patriots make a lot of sense now and apparently McDaniels wants him.
  20. Not the case...Dalton is WAY better than Kyle Allen (as an example). Same thing Additionally, Cam is coming off the injuries and there are no more physicals by the NFL. Who would trade for that contract without medicals? Nobody, which is why he’s being released.
  21. Gilmore Tre Sherman (slot even if he isn’t there much) Adams Fitzpatrick
  22. He’s not a guy that I want to have to play in big games for 15 years. He’s also a guy that I really, really like. I don’t want to have to hate him either.
  23. I don’t know but I’m trying to find one that has 2019 NBA title odds. I’m thinking if I can get the Nets anywhere near where they were I’m going to take that chance. They may have KD and Kyrie back. They were 1,000:1 when the league suspended services.
  24. Yeah, they paid him for his role on the Patriots and his role at Orchids of Asia.
