  1. He’s TERRIBLE. If I’m wrong on this I’ll own it but I don’t think that I am. Apparently McDaniels wants him. If he’s healthy he makes them better. It’s just tough to think that he will be healthy after the pounding he’s taken in his career.
  2. That’s my exact point. RB is (maybe) the only real “NEED” left. There are a lot of places that they could improve but the need is gone. A young edge would be a good investment as an example. In terms of the “TD maker” you are missing the positive impact that Diggs has on everyone else. He instantly makes every other pass catcher’s job easier. Brown couldn’t beat the extra attention. It’s like what happened to Ju-Ju last year. When you bump him back to the #2 he becomes a bigger threat. Safeties will have to role towards Diggs opening up the middle of the field and running lanes. More plays will be made just by having Diggs on the field. Beane knows that. He didn’t need “a” guy in the WR room. He needed “the” guy in there. That’s the difference. They absolutely could, and should continue to add talent. The point was (and is) outside of backup RB this team doesn’t have a massive hole anywhere. Get the best players that you can.
  3. I think that the OP is right about everything but Jameis. Ben is playing in Pitt. Chicago - Foles Jacksonville is the other interesting one to me and I’m going to say that ends up Jameis.
  4. They have tons of depth everywhere but RB on offense. They have back every WR and added a number 1. They have one of the best WR rooms in the NFL now. They have a top 10 overall WR, a top 5 number 2 WR and a top 5 to 10 slot guy. Behind them they have a burner, a big body, a gadget guy and a pro bowl return man. If they see an opportunity to upgrade they will take it but the NEED is pretty much non-existent. There is an obvious need at RB but it will certainly be addressed. My guess is that they add 2 to the mix (FA and draft). Fortunately RBs are easy to find. There is a very minimal adjustment period for them. You can find a contributor wherever.
  5. Ok, you are talking about a backup RB and a number 4 (at best) WR. As I said, not a lot of room on the roster. They could throw a rock and find that receiver in this draft. You could EASILY draft a guy in the 4th or 5th that could fill that role if you don’t have a guy you like earlier. In terms of the back, there are a bunch of guys in each round that could fill that role as well. If they sign someone like Hyde or Miller that lessens the need for that position as well. The Bills are absolutely in position to add BPA.
  6. Yeah, I think RB or WR is possible at 54. My guess is that they are enamored with one of those ultra-athletic safeties. They look at them as chess pieces. The Bills love big, athletic freaks (see: Edmunds, Tremaine and Allen, Joshua). Those guys make WAY too much sense. Quarterman is more of a feeling. I think that he brings a little of that “edge” to the team that left with Shaq and Phillips. He’s physical. He will be more of a role player depth guy but think he adds some physicality.
  7. Yeah, they’ll add a back and a WR I’d guess. They really don’t have a lot of roster spots
  8. Kyle Dugger or Jeremy Chinn ends up on the Bills Shaq Quarterman does as well
  9. Loaded question and VERY difficult to pick but gun to your head Bills pick at 54? (No pressure)
  10. Figured as long as we are quarantined and binge watching we should break out threads on the most watched material. I’m through 4 episodes so far and like it more than season 2 at this point. Still trying to really wrap my head around Ben’s role in all of this but I’m sure it will crystallize soon. Wendy is a bad b****. She is tough and intimidating. She’s really the ruthless one in the group. It feels like this will evolve to her as the alpha-female that, to this point, was Helen. I really like Ruthie as well. She’s a ride or die. You can trust her (at least I think). My opinion on all of this is subject to change as I navigate the rest of the season. Just wanted to open it up for discussion.
  11. They’ll be out as we get closer. @BuffaloHokie13 @GunnerBill @DCOrange @thebandit27 are a few that do it. They do a really, really nice job.
  12. Oh there are LOTS of people here that have their own boards and do their own scouting
  13. The TV contracts are up shortly which will result in a major cap spike. I’d be willing to bet that the teams and NFL work out some way to “advance” that as an amendment to the CBA. The teams don’t want the cap to plummet either. They don’t want to be stuck with a $40m QB and 1/2 of a roster. They’ll manage around that. It may not have a big spike next year but it will be flat at least IMO.
  14. He fell off. What does that have to do with Tre White?
  15. Yes What’s your point?

  17. I’d expect nothing less from Brees. Despite my feeling that he’s a bit of a phony he does a lot right. He’s been a godsend to this community and really “gets it.” He’s an easy guy to root for and this is why.
  18. That’s kind of been my point throughout. They can be a playoff team but they aren’t just going to be 11-5 because of the uniform. That’s what I’m arguing with people. We are saying, “that’s one of the worst rosters in football but they will win 10+ games against the toughest schedule in football because they will.” That’s not a reasonable argument. Belichick is amazing and will lead them to a better record than he should. If they don’t do something about QB that record is probably 6-10. That team just isn’t good. They have picks, BB and could add a QB. They don’t have a good cap situation and outside of Gilmore they don’t have stars. They lost a few of their best defensive players as well. The Pats have a chance to be okay but they aren’t just going to be good because they’re the Pats.
  19. Cam Newton was once the NFL MVP and now he was cut. What does that have to do with anything? Tre White was 1st team all-pro. That’s a fact. Tre White will end up the highest paid CB ever (that will be a fact when he signs an extension). Whether you think he’s top 2 or top 5 that can be debated. If you think he’s outside of the top 10 that’s not a reasonable argument. That can’t be supported. Even if you think he’s the 8th best CB in football (which would be a massive stretch) that’s where you want to draw the line?
  20. You take a TE when there is a TE worthy of that pick. The same is true for every position but QB. You can’t just take a TE in the 2nd round if there isn’t a TE worth the pick.
  21. There is some of this buried in the Netflix thread but feel like it warranted its own. Tiger King is the event of quarantine season. Thought we should have a place to discuss. Thoughts: - Joe Exotic is the Halloween costume of 2020 - Carole fed her husband to the tigers - Does Howard Baskin look more like Prince Charles or Mitch McConnell? - Why do people believe Jeff Lowe?
  22. He was a 1st team all-pro!! That means he was deemed one of the best 2 CBs in football. That’s the guy you aren’t sold on? I hate to come here to pee on your Cheerios but at some point in the near future he will be the highest paid CB ever. The Buffalo Bills will be the team making that commitment.
  23. Scarnecchia retired so the OL coaching will change. He was a fantastic coach. I wouldn’t call their front 7 good either. They’re average at best IMO.
