  1. Agree 100%...I want guys that are good at football not good at being tall (and Davis is a good size). I like the Davis pick. This is my favorite of the 3 picks so far.
  2. If that’s your opinion on him, we disagree on the player. That’s okay. To me he is going to be really good against the run and lends versatility. He will get some rush but most of his results will be effort plays that take a little longer to develop. I have counted him in the free agent group. It can only be counted once. If we are choosing to count him as a draft pick the Cardinals win the draft. They got Simmons, Nuke and Josh Jones.
  3. I’m not saying that he’s bad. There is a reason though that a guy with his production was on the board at 54. There are reasons to be concerned. His upside is limited imo. The good news is that his downside is limited too. He will be a solid player day 1. We all just need to temper our expectations that he’s going to be a double-digit sack guy. That would be a surprise. There were guys as productive, that went later, that I think will be better. Greenard and Anae are two examples. The Bills could have went Dobbins and Greenard instead of Epenesa and Moss. I think that they would have gotten the better RB and the better pass rusher in that scenario. The guys that they got are going to help but there were other options that I would have preferred.
  4. I think that he will too. Shaq turned into a nice player but it wasn’t until the middle of year 3. I think Epenesa can be solid day 1 (which is the positive about the pick). Moss is the same way. I don’t see either of them getting a lot better in the NFL but they can’t completely fail either.
  5. I think Lawson (who I think was better than Kelsay). Epenesa will be a 6-8 sack guy that’s solid against the run. He has some position versatility as well because he can play the 3 technique. Shaq has that skill set too.
  6. The DL is so deep. If Oliver becomes the star that I believe he will they are in good shape. I’d be surprised if they doubled down unless Murphy goes. There just aren’t spots. I’m high on Anae and Robinson. I could get behind that. I’d like to see some speed added (there are a bunch of options left). Hightower, McFarland, Watkins, or Calais depending on if they go RB or WR could be options. They were all sub 4.45 guys. I don’t know them all that well but would prefer the guy that’s the best open field runner. I would also not hesitate to deal one of these late picks for OJ Howard. He’d add another weapon. If he walks after this year you’d have a shot to recoup the pick the following year.
  7. His 1.78 10 yard split matters though. That’s indicative of a guy that doesn’t get off the snap quickly. That’s troublesome. I mean, if you want to pop champagne for the pick because some talking heads had him as a top 20 player go ahead. I’m okay with the pick and think he will be solid. He will backfill the Lawson loss adequately. I’ll be very surprised if he’s a star. His athletic skills are not indicative of a future star (which is why a guy that productive was still there at 54).
  8. If you look back I’ve said that about him for 2 months. This isn’t groupthink on my part. He has a limited ceiling because he has limited athleticism. He is a solid player and will be a solid contributor. You don’t draft 2 solid contributors and claim to win the draft.
  9. They needed them. They have Jeudy and Sutton on the outside with Hamler in the slot. That offense took a GIANT step forward.
  10. He is a star. I’ve been counting him on the FA group though as it was a month ago. I loved what we did there. I guess you could count him here instead but certainly can’t count him in both.
  11. No offense but I wouldn’t have the Bills in the “big winner” category. They got a couple of solid players that will help them but you can’t be a big winner without some guys with star potential. We deserve a “B.” The winners: Dallas Baltimore Bucs Broncos Colts Panthers
  12. Interesting thought Bandit and probably right. That’s one way to preserve Addison too. He really tailed off last year so maybe that keeps him fresher? In general, the pick was a solid B IMO. I thought some of the guys that were going to go later were going to be better pass rushers. I still believe that. I think that Epenesa has a high floor though. He will help the team as soon as this year. The same with Moss. With the Bills window seemingly open I like getting guys that you know will contribute early. With that being said, I’d take a couple of shots today knowing that there are limited holes and roster spots.
  13. I’m 100% fine with this idea. This may even be what the Bills are thinking. They will have a decent sense for where Wade is in his development as they see him everyday. For me, that’s the hard part. I have no idea if Wade is coming along or if he will never make a roster. If they can’t find someone with a longer track record he is worth the shot.
  14. That’s my favorite one that I have seen this year
  15. Why does this thread keep starting? We all loved Shady. He’s done
  16. I agree 100%. You can talk yourself in and out of prospects so easily.
  17. Of course he shouldn’t do anything if he’s really bad off. My guess is that it’s optics primarily as @Lurker pointed out. It’s a bad look to have him, even for a brief time on TV while the whole draft is being conducted from home. It appears insensitive.
  18. “I think I may have found a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn’t have to give up that much.”
  19. Say Thuney has the value of a 2nd and Edelman a 4th. Next year’s first is the equivalent of a 2nd in the draft value chart. They are about a 1st round pick (minimum) short still. Gilmore HAS to be a part of the package or it can’t happen. Now maybe they can get into the teens with package but not to 3. Gilmore, Thuney, 23 and a 2021 2nd probably gets it done.
  20. It’s scary what they can look like at the end of the weekend. I’m on record as saying that they finish 2nd in the AFC East. We will see I guess
  21. Honestly, that’s why I wanted Miami going into this. With so much capital I thought it’d be interesting to see what they COULD do if they were really aggressive. If they came out of this draft like that I would hate it (regardless of the QB that they choose). They would get their QB, LT, RB, #1 WR (depending on how you view Parker), and the best safety in football. They’d still have 2 1sts and a 2nd next year.
  22. My last pick was 14 ???. That’s even more absurd because my team has 14 picks in the draft!!
