Not ignoring anything. I addressed what Josh has done. My point is someone that likes Peterman as a QB the way that you do has ZERO credibility in terms of QB analysis. You liked Peterman but question Allen. That’s absurd. It’s an unreasonable position. In terms of the topic, and Fromm, he’s a backup QB. He could be a good one. Only idiots believe that he is here to compete for the starting job. That’s what my issue is. I have no issue taking a backup QB in the 5th. It is a need. I have an issue (and will have an issue) when people start screaming for Fromm after a bad Allen game. We already have some on here claiming that he will be the QB. Those people have clearly not watched Fromm but have a loud voice. They’ll be posting here and calling WGR, etc...

Those would both be GREAT situations. I think that he will be the backup this year. My whole point (and I’m clearly not articulating well) is that his ceiling is really low. He could be like a McCarron now but he isn’t ever going to be much better than that IMO.

No offense but your Peterman love makes me question your ability to evaluate QBs. He’s LITERALLY the worst QB to ever play and you wanted more of him. Josh Allen took massive strides in year 2. He makes plays with his arm and legs. He’s competitive as hell. He is great in the 4th quarter. He wins. He leads. If you aren’t happy with Josh Allen 2 years in but you were happy with Peterman before and after the Chargers game we don’t have much to discuss.

FWIW, I think that he will bring value in the QB room. Fromm is smart and competitive. It’s not bad value at this point. My objection is to those that will get carried away with the “championship level QB from UGA.” He’s a backup in the NFL (and has a chance to be a good one). The question is, “is he Aaron Murray?” “Is he Chase Daniels?” “Is he AJ McCarron?” The question is not “is he Tom Brady?” “Is he Joe Montana?”

...and yet if you talk to UGA fans they think and thought that was insanity. There isn’t one sane person in the US that thinks Fromm is a better QB than Fields (who will be a top 2 pick). Fromm isn’t going to all of a sudden become talented. His ceiling is low. He has a chance to carve out a career as a backup (and a good chance). He is not in any way, shape or form pushing Allen.

Willing to give him a chance. I think that it is decent value here. I have seen him a lot and don’t think that he is good. He played with TONS of talent. In general, he held them back imo. He has a chance to be a backup QB and we need that. His ceiling is LOW though to me.

I do agree here and actually think Fromm can fill that role. I went with gross because I knew that we’d have some people talking about him being better than Josh!! Ha ha, he is a career backup and could fill that role. He lacks physical talent though.

Watch them play and don’t read stats. Allen is 2,000,000,000,000,000x better than Fromm. He has a rag arm. If you were a fan of what Peterman brought you’ll love Fromm!!

I just like the fit. He probably ends Foster’s tenure (and I like Foster). Davis’ ability to stretch the field will lead to some big plays and will open things up underneath for the other pass catchers.
