  1. I think that the bottom of the depth chart will be 2 of Foster/Davis & Duke/Hodgins (1 from each group). The last guy on the roster (and even a couple of guys that get cut) could be as good as every other guy that they had in 2018. That’s wild
  2. He has elite talent though. At worst, he’s Justin Herbert a year from now. At best, he’s the elite talent that he’s always been and goes 1st. My personal opinion is that he’s somewhere in between. He will probably grade out somewhere between Burrow and Lawrence IMO. That’s where he likely sits now in terms of most evaluations. He will need to put together another good year to remain there but he has immense physical skills. On a side note the Lawrence/Fields rivalry has always been interesting. They will be linked from high school through their pro careers. It’s kind of crazy that these 2 “all-time” type of recruits grew up a few miles apart. https://apnews.com/bf862262f7378ceb4512378822fac6c1
  3. Me too, he has more potential IMO. I get the Fromm pick though. He has a LOT of qualities that a team would want in a backup. He’s basically a McCown that’s 25 years younger and played at UGA instead of LA Tech.
  4. I’m going to say B (and I don’t count Diggs in the draft). I don’t think that the Bills drafted one guy that will ever play in the Pro Bowl with the possible exception of Bass. They drafted a bunch of guys that can and will fill a role. The Bills didn’t have a need though for immediate impact players. They had some spots that needed to get better and they accomplished that. Overall, I’m pleased but not overwhelmed.
  5. He is a QB and a pretty famous one. ESPN features like 8 stories at a time or whatever. Fromm being picked was one of them. There are a bunch of factors. If it was James Morgan it wouldn’t be this bad.
  6. He wasn’t a REAL day 1 or 2 pick. That was a case of the talking heads being way behind the scouts. There was a time that Matt Barkley was considered the number one overall pick. The same was true for Jevan Snead. That was never actually the case because they weren’t good enough. The talking heads are ALWAYS behind the football people. Earlier in the thread you were talking about Fromm as a prospect vs. Fields. That’s laughable. One is a LOCK as a top 5 pick and the other has a chance to be a decent backup. That has ALWAYS been the case.
  7. Waxed? I don’t remember Fromm in the playoff this year? Again, if you believe what you are saying than feel free to make the wager and you can even name the stakes. I suspect that you are talking out of your backside which is why you won’t stand behind what you are saying. You know that I’m right on this so we are good.
  8. If you want to place a wager, I will bet you every single dime that I own that Justin Fields is drafted before the 5th round. If you believe what you are spitting out here stand behind it
  9. I have said that I think he can be (and will be) the backup. It was a good value pick at the time. The Peterman argument isn’t fair but I do think that both players lack the ability to make NFL throws outside of the numbers. I’m a realist when it comes to the Bills. I will never (and have never) blindly praised them or unfairly criticized them. My criticism of starting Peterman at the time was warranted. My defending Josh’s development is equally as warranted.
  10. Fields is still playing and is a WAY better player than Fromm.
  11. That was a response to someone claiming that Fromm was better than Allen now
  12. Ha ha, keep flipping through. My main issue is the people that will be screaming for him. He’s strictly a backup. If everyone can agree with that we are cool. I was preparing for the “Brady was a 6th rounder” and “he’s better than Josh.” They’ve both come already. He’s not. He has a chance to be a decent backup. That was a need. It was good value for that.
  13. There was no upside!! He couldn’t make NFL throws outside of the numbers. Again, you believed in Peterman but are skeptical on Allen. We just don’t look at QBs the same way I guess. - I believe that Peterman is the worst QB to ever play. - I believe that Josh Allen is a huge talent that has made big strides. He can do absolutely everything on the football field. IMO, he’s more likely to be a league MVP than he is to flameout. FWIW, I was not an Allen guy coming out. - I also believe it’s easier to learn the game and for it to slow down than to gain physical skills. We disagree there too. I don’t see any reason to continue talking about this (especially here). If you have more that you want to add go ahead but I won’t respond so as to not totally derail this. Bottom line we disagree on QB traits. I think Fromm can and will be the Bills backup. He isn’t going to be a starter ever IMO (and that’s okay). Everyone can feel free to disagree but that’s how I feel.
  14. I like this for the Eagles. The Eagles needed another guy to do what Jackson does. Goodwin can do that.
  15. I like it. I’d like a punter too. If the Bills are going to play close games they need to tighten up the special teams play. Bass is good and could take the job.
  16. Not ignoring anything. I addressed what Josh has done. My point is someone that likes Peterman as a QB the way that you do has ZERO credibility in terms of QB analysis. You liked Peterman but question Allen. That’s absurd. It’s an unreasonable position. In terms of the topic, and Fromm, he’s a backup QB. He could be a good one. Only idiots believe that he is here to compete for the starting job. That’s what my issue is. I have no issue taking a backup QB in the 5th. It is a need. I have an issue (and will have an issue) when people start screaming for Fromm after a bad Allen game. We already have some on here claiming that he will be the QB. Those people have clearly not watched Fromm but have a loud voice. They’ll be posting here and calling WGR, etc...
  17. He’s actually the lowest rated QB ever. People giving him a job doesn’t change that. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2804566-is-nathan-peterman-the-worst-nfl-quarterback-ever.amp.html
  18. Those would both be GREAT situations. I think that he will be the backup this year. My whole point (and I’m clearly not articulating well) is that his ceiling is really low. He could be like a McCarron now but he isn’t ever going to be much better than that IMO.
  19. No offense but your Peterman love makes me question your ability to evaluate QBs. He’s LITERALLY the worst QB to ever play and you wanted more of him. Josh Allen took massive strides in year 2. He makes plays with his arm and legs. He’s competitive as hell. He is great in the 4th quarter. He wins. He leads. If you aren’t happy with Josh Allen 2 years in but you were happy with Peterman before and after the Chargers game we don’t have much to discuss.
