Did you buy tickets yet? I booked my flight but didn’t get a room or tickets yet. The Venetian/Palazzo is my favorite and there wasn’t anything available. Vegas is so hit and miss for me. I’ve been 6 times, loved it twice, hated it twice and twice was indifferent. In my head, it will be IMPOSSIBLE, to not be fun for the Bills game.

That’s such a weak argument. We don’t know what will happen with Chase Young until he plays a game technically. He is WAY more likely to have double digit sacks than he is to have less than 5. I don’t need him to play a season to realize that. I can look at the skill set and project. It’s the EXACT same with the QBs. Again, we aren’t projecting them to be Patrick Mahomes. We are projecting them to be better than Chad Henne!! It’s not that the young guys can’t handle it on their own. They just want to make sure that they don’t ruin such a big investment by throwing him into a bad situation like the Bills did with EJ. I don’t think that he was ever going to be good but they did him no favors. If Rodgers went down tomorrow for 1 year the Packers would be way better off with Love than those teams with the scrub vets. It’s the opposite of what you’re saying in a lot of ways. I’ve seen enough of Matt Schaub to know that, at 39, he’s not dangerous. The rookies are all potentially dangerous. They will ABSOLUTELY make more plays than the scrub vets because they have more talent. In a scoring league, you need need your number 2 to be able to generate points still. The playmakers can do that.

[Vague Title] Worth a look in my book...
Kirby Jackson replied to Mij yllek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Saints are Belichick-level ruthless. Warford has been to the last 3 Pro Bowls (although this year on reputation). He was serviceable but BAD in the playoff game. They were like “yeah, this isn’t going to work” and drafted his replacement. -
I have and I have. I used it in Houston for the playoff game.

...and Love could have been a top 10 pick. They are definitely similar as prospects. Allen came in and played after 1 half of the season and held his own. He WOULD have been one of the best backups in the league if he wasn’t immediately a starter. There’s no way Love would be any worse than guys like Chad Henne, Hoyer, Chase Daniel, Colt McCoy, etc... Those guys have a history of mediocrity and no chance to be better. They have never been better than okay and don’t do anything physically, ANYTHING, better than Love (or Herbert or Tua or Hurts). That’s a weird hill to die on. If you want to argue that you’re better with one of those guys or as Schaub or any other low ranked QB go for it. There isn’t a team in the league that would rather have one of those guys than the rookies. Those rookies are all more capable today than those trash vets. The only vets worth $.10 on that list are Keenum, Brissett, Jameis and Dalton. You can have Mariota and Trubisky.

So was Josh Allen...

I don’t know when you look up and down that list there aren’t 4 guys with more ability then Love. He will also be stepping in on a team that won 13 games. He can’t fall much lower.

Stubhub will guarantee them. A lot of these resale sites will at this point. They’ve learned over time that if they can’t guarantee them they can’t get traffic. Now I agree that I wouldn’t go to Vinny with the sign on the street corner but you won’t have any issues with Stubhub.

Did you look at Vegas yet? I booked flights for the home opener, Vegas and Nashville last night. This morning I looked at tickets. Vegas was starting at $350!! The next cheapest ticket was $427. Now I expect them to come down some but damn. I’d buy now. If they start without fans I doubt that they finish the year without them. If the Bills are in the mix those prices will go up. I’m sure that you’ll get refunded or a credit if fans can’t attend.

Who’s on the Buffalo Bills Mt Rushmore?
Kirby Jackson replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is where I’m at. If I decided that I hated OJ enough that day I could add Thurman instead. I know it’s not a popular opinion but I would have Kelly as one of the 4 best players on the Super Bowl teams. I would have him on Mt. Rushmore though. He represents so much about the team in community in the way that his real life has mirrored that resiliency. -
Too high: Henne Schaub Finley Too low: RG3 Kyle Allen Mullens
-
They need to get rid of him now before it’s too late!! He’s going to poison the locker room. Clearly he doesn’t want to be in Buffalo and I say good riddance. We need more guys like Fred Jackson and less guys like Zack Moss. We need guys that WANT to be here!!

I did laugh at the guy that thinks they will start 4-0: @Bills SF at home @indy Denver at home They will be a 6+ point underdog in the first three games and Denver is pretty good. -
Buffalo Bills Official 2020 Schedule
Kirby Jackson replied to Do The Reich Thing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we could have without Vegas being the previous week. There are a lot of people in a “one or the other” situation. I wish that those were further apart. -

Let me know on Nashville. My sister may come but I don’t know who else is going with Vegas being the week before. The Nashville flight was so cheap that I just booked that too. It was $118 roundtrip on Southwest. Nashville is amazing. We will get after it -

I went 10-6. They will be somewhere between 9-11 wins IMO. They will win the division. -
Convince me that the 2020 Pats are good...
Kirby Jackson replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Then that is your reasoning. You think that they will be good because of BB and their defense. That’s reasonable. “They are good because they are always good” isn’t reasonable. We can only judge on these players, coaches and schedule. -

Kirby Jackson replied to saundena's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They don’t seem that overconfident to me. I mean there are some dumb things being said on there (I.e. the Jets got a lot better and the Bills are treading water). If you call acquiring the best WR in the division “treading water” sure I guess. The Bills will be about a 6 point favorite and SHOULD cover imo. The shorter the offseason the more the early season favors the Bills. They are returning their whole OL, QB and coaching staff. Those are the areas that take the most time to come together. -

They just aren’t very good. I think Darnold is pretty good. Adams is great. Mosley is a nice player too. They have Adam Gase as their head coach and no weapons. They are another 6ish win team. -
Convince me that the 2020 Pats are good...
Kirby Jackson replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody gets the benefit of the doubt!! Being good in 2008 with different players playing against different players with a different schedule doesn’t translate to today. If you want to use BB as a part of your argument as to why they will be good go for it. Just don’t say they will be good because they were before. If you believe that the system is so strong that they can plug different people in and not skip a beat cool. Just know, that people will challenge the notion that they can run consistently vs. loaded boxes, make plays down the field, etc.. This was intended to be a football conversation and has been for the most part. Falling back on “because they did before” is lazy and doesn’t correlate. For the most part people have avoided it. Everyone that thinks they will be good or pretty good has given football reasons (all of which involve Belichick). That’s totally fair. Any argument to why they will or won’t be good though needs to be 100% dependent on the players, coaches and schedule of 2020. Anything from prior years or future years is irrelevant when discussing THIS season. -

Well it’s definitely an option: https://985thesportshub.com/2020/03/30/patriots-cap-space-nfl-rank-31st-fix-problem/ edit: NM, after reading @ColoradoBills post they only need about $1m -

I believe that they are currently $6.5M over the 2020 cap when you factor in the draft pool. If you have a better idea I’m here for it. The obvious answer is to sign Thuney to a long-term deal. The next most obvious is cutting Sanu.
