  1. Just for context Patrick Mahomes account for .1875 more TDs per game than Allen. That .625 number that you are trying to downplay is a chasm.
  2. So Josh had 10 more TDs, 1 more turnover, 3 more yards a game (have to include rushing when talking about these 2) with 1 less year experience?
  3. Love him at 40:1, not a fan at 18:1. He has a VERY clear path the the MVP this year. If the Bills win 11 or 12 games and take down the mighty Pats they will be all of the buzz. If Allen takes another step forward he would be right in the mix. It’s absolutely worth money at 40:1. He could have 40 - 45 total TDs and 4,500 total yards. That’s basically the year that Cam had when he won MVP. I’m not saying that’s likely but it’s definitely possible.
  4. Not on an actual betting site. I was on Bovada yesterday and took a screenshot to share. As of right now, on an actual betting site, he is +1800.@Limeaid sent me how to make it smaller. Give me a few minutes to try.
  5. The question wasn’t though “is Josh Allen a top 20 QB?” The question is “who will have the better career?” PFF knows that 99.99% of people, at this point, will say Josh. They picked such an extreme to troll. FWIW, I could have lived with Minshew. At least he appears ascending and is a starter.
  6. ...and as I said earlier I would have had no issue with the question a year ago. The players are in COMPLETELY different positions at this point. One is +1800 to be the MVP of the league coming off a solid year where he took big steps. His team is positioned to take the next step forward. The other just had his 5th year option declined and will be competing with a career backup for the starting job. It seems like an odd time to compare the 2. Who will have a better career from here on out Josh Allen or Daniel Jones is a reasonable question. I happen to believe that it will be Allen but can see where you may go Jones. Both are young players that had some questions coming out. Both have had some good moments and some bad moments. Both are UNQUESTIONED STARTERS with questions lingering. The same could be said for Baker or Darnold. There are plenty of reasonable comparisons for Allen at this point. They answered Allen to have an out. If he continues to develop they can always fall back on “while we said it would be Allen.” They asked the question to troll. It’s the same reason that they said Duck Hodges was the better QB in the Pittsburgh matchup. You get a lot more clicks by sensationalism than you do with the obvious truth. It’s like if I tweeted “aliens landed in my backyard this morning” with a link. That would get a lot more clicks than a tweet saying “aliens didn’t land in my backyard this morning.”
  7. If you read through the thread I’ve explained my position. My position is that I have no issue with Josh being compared to young, raw, ASCENDING players. I’m even okay with Jones or Haskins. PFF took the guy that has cratered out as their comparison in an attempt to troll. It wasn’t really about “who will have a better career from here on out?” It was about, “who can we compare Allen to in order to maximize our clicks?” Keep in mind there is a very good chance that Trubisky spends at least the next couple of years as a backup. Josh is an unquestioned starter at minimum for this year. He is absolutely ascending while Trubisky fell off a cliff.
  8. ...says the guy posting his thoughts on an internet message board
  9. I think that’s fair Gug. My reasoning was some level of growing frustration with them. It also felt like a bit of a “gotcha” moment. We complain about these sites a lot and this is kind of a living, breathing example of why. I really don’t want to give them attention either. It’s a bit of a catch 22
  10. Darnold, Mayfield, Murray, or even guys like Jones and Haskins could have been accepted. They picked the guy at his floor and then asked the question. That’s my issue with it. They did that intentionally. It’s the same reason that they said Duck Hodges was better than Allen. It is Colin Cowherdish. They do things to get a reaction and clicks. They don’t do it for a real football conversation.
  11. 100% agree with the bolded. That’s kind of my point. Why are we comparing the guy ascending, Allen, to the guy that has already taken a massive step back? It would have been a reasonable question a year ago at this time. Both appeared to be ascending with some questions. Why isn’t he being compared to another ascending player with flaws instead? My answer is because that doesn’t get as many clicks.
  12. They gave the nod to Allen so that they can say “well we did pick Allen.” They raised the question of Allen or Trubisky so that they could get Bills fans to click on the link. They weren’t really debating it IMO. They were asking themselves “which QB can we compare to Josh Allen to get the most clicks?” They compared Allen to a guy that may very well be a backup QB from here on out. They didn’t pick a starter with some flaws. They picked the guy that is seemingly fighting for his NFL life. I’ve always said about Allen that the people that have seen him the most like him the most. That’s encouraging to me. Bills fan’s (and players) perception of him is much is much higher than the talking heads. They see all of the little plays that he makes along the way that don’t necessary show up in a box score.
  13. He’s +1800 to be the NFL MVP currently on Bovada. The exact same odds as Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. If I can figure out how to shrink the screenshot I’ll post it.
  14. They claimed that Duck Hodges was the better QB in the matchup vs. Allen. They then admitted to doing it to get Bills fans worked up. This isn’t some big conspiracy. It’s what they do. Trubisky is terrible and was about to be replaced. He’s the guy that people make jokes about. Allen is an ascending QB that most believe is about to be really good. A year ago this would have been a reasonable conversation. It wouldn’t have been antagonistic though so it wasn’t on there. The question is, “would you rather have the career of a guy about to lose his job to Nick Foles, that didn’t have his 5th year option picked up, that will be a backup next year or Josh Allen?” If they asked Darnold or Allen, cool. Even if they asked Daniel Jones or Dwayne Haskins at least you could argue that they are still ascending. They purposely used the guy that people think the lowest of to get under people’s skin. It worked with me and I’m typically not too sensitive.
  15. Ha ha, I’m in that weird “in between age” (38). I can tweet about it or put it on IG but have no idea where to find the Tik Tok and the Snapchat (if kids still use that).
  16. My Twitter account is private too!! I’m not sure my couple hundred followers could move the needle anyways lol. That’s why I need you popular people!!
  17. If you think that they legitimately believe this is a question you haven’t been following PFF. @Hapless Bills Fan referenced it earlier but they’ve admitted to trolling Bills fans to get clicks and discussion. We are the most active on socially media and the first to respond. There are numbers that support it. There are reasons that they don’t troll the Chargers. No one will click on, retweet or respond. They fire at us (and the Browns apparently) because we have active and passionate fan bases. I’m done taking the bait. They make their money by followers, subscriptions and clicks. I’m just not going to support their agenda anymore. If they lose Bills fans they lose a hell of a lot more than if they lose Chargers fans. That’s why they shoot at us. They want a reaction from us good or bad.
  18. This is a site that has admitted to trolling Bills fans for a reaction. I’m done with them at this point. I’m no longer feeding into their BS. Typically, I’m not overly sensitive when it comes to the Bills. They are just too much for me. I’m unfollowing them and encourage you to do the same.
  19. I guess why I don’t take issue is that they only picked 3. There are a handful of really good defenses in the AFC. We are one of them.
  20. I take no offense. I watched the segment this morning and it didn’t feel like they all answered “the best defense in the conference.” Brandt was giving the Chiefs a shoutout as an underrated unit it felt like. The Steelers unit is elite and the Chargers are loaded. We are in that conversation with those 2, the Pats, Ravens, and Broncos. There are a bunch of good defenses. We are one of them.
  21. How did you feel when Oliver made the joke about coats in the Bills interview the year before? Just curious as to how people viewed that...
  22. Sad day, that was a very funny man. Frank Costanza stole every scene. RIP Jerry
  23. Sorry that I call it like I see it. The opinion that the young guys are 29-32 in terms of backup rankings is a dumb opinion. It isn’t a reasonable one. It isn’t one that any team would agree with. If you said “I’d prefer to start Mariota over Tua week 1 If that was my QB room” I wouldn’t agree but could see the argument. If you would say “I’d prefer to start Sean Mannion over Tua week 1 if that was my QB room” I’d say it’s dumb. ?‍♂️ To each his own though, feel free to block
  24. Don’t cry too hard that was a work trip so I didn’t have to pay for it ?. It’s pretty brutal though. It’s cheaper to sit down and play while getting a comp drink than it is to go to the bar and order. Whatever you lose at the table is is a better investment ??
