  1. They do have that. The players receive 48% of the revenue of the league. That number will move to 48.5% when the 17 game season kicks in. 48% on your labor costs isn’t out of line with most other businesses. This holds especially true when the labor are also your assets. That’s what makes the sporting model different. If you manufacture cars you pay the labor to produce a car that you can then sell to make revenue. In sports, you sell the talents of the labor to generate the revenue. 48% of that revenue going back to that labor force is certainly not too much.
  2. I just rewatched the whole thing (I’m bored). It is all Davis
  3. I didn’t see Diggs. I think it’s all Gabe Davis
  4. The market has already been reset by Hooper and Henry. Kittle is going by them. He’s going to be in the $15M range.
  5. I’d take Peterman for him at this point. At least he wanted to be here!! Give me the guy that tries hard and coaches like over some entitled rookie.
  6. I’ll take a guess: 4 years, $60M with $42M guaranteed
  7. Where the hell is Zack Moss?!? He hasn’t accomplished anything in this league. He’s “too good” to not show up at these team-oriented workouts in South Florida?!? He’s from South Florida!!! I’m done with this guy.
  8. I never said that the league “wronged” AB. I said that “the game was taken from him.” I never said that it wasn’t warranted. In fact if you look back to the beginning of this conversation I said that “the AB ship had sailed for me. He’s too much of a problem.” I did say and do believe that players working out with AB is a good thing not a bad thing. His work ethic and precision is legendary. That’s how he became the player (not person) that he became. I don’t see that as a bad thing.
  9. Are you really trying to play some semantically game? If so, you are 100% diluting the point. He regrets not having football in his life. That was the point.
  10. The league? Did I defend anything that he did? If so, let me know. He has been begging teams to get back because he realizes what an idiot that he is. You are reading into something that I neither said nor inferred. It’s his fault but the game has been taken from him. Both of those things are true.
  11. If your concern is that they are going out for drinks after and Brown is capable of anything in his private life, cool. I’ll 100% buy that. If your concern is that he will turn Diggs into a toxic person in the locker room, I’m sorry not buying that. His legendary work ethic is a great thing for Diggs to be around. The fact that he has had the game taken from him is a good lesson for Diggs. If they are out at the club, I wouldn’t like that either. Trouble follows Brown in his personal life. He’s ready, fire, aim.
  12. In a football workout what are you thinking that Brown could say that will be so powerful it will completely change the that Diggs thinks about life and his career? How could he possibly influence him?
  13. Dawkins was the most recent Croom Photos has a ton too. Davis, Hodgins, Easley, Becker, Fromm, Sweeney, McKenzie, Croom are guys that were there too
  14. I think that ship has sailed for me. A year ago I was all about it. That guy may just be too damaging. It would be interesting though to see if he’s at today’s workout. On IG, I’ve seen Barkley, Dawkins, Josh, Webb, Diggs, Motor, what looked like Beasley and I’m sure many more. If AB is there again it would certainly raise an eyebrow
  15. Ehh, Antonio Brown is one of the hardest working players of this generation. He’s also a world-class route runner. He’s an idiot as a person and a genius at his craft. I have ZERO issue with Diggs learning from him.
  16. Totally different with Byrd and Woods. Byrd signed a very large contract on a team that had very little cap space. Woods signed a moderate contract and the Bills had moderate cap space. Woods 2017 cap hit was $7M. The Bills wouldn’t have had to sacrifice ANYTHING to do that. They could have easily created that space by converting some future money for guys into signing bonuses. There was not a cap problem. There is virtually no such thing as a cap problem in the NFL. It’s a narrative used to sway fans to buy into a plan. It’s media created. Teams figured out YEARS ago how to navigate around it. This could change I suppose if revenues are negatively impacted by COVID. At this point though, teams no that future years will be bigger and structure contracts accordingly. Cap issues are not real unless you are incompetent (see the Falcons). I’m willing to die on this hill and can point to dozens of examples of teams in “cap trouble” manipulating the cap and not making any sacrifices. Unless the cap is punitive there are no issues.
  17. He’s the one that I hesitated on but I think that the Bills value his mobility too much to let him go.
  18. Who specifically are you concerned will be gone? IMO, the Bills are about to follow the Cowboy’s model in retaining all of their top players on their second contracts. I expect the Bills to have Diggs, Edmunds, Tre, Dawkins, Oliver, Milano and (hopefully) Josh for years. They don’t have any cap issues now or in the next 5 years.
  19. Wait, the same guy?!? ?
  20. Isn’ t he Jack Nicklaus’ grandson?
  21. I’m thinking that we should start a go fund me, purchase it and burn it as a symbolic passing of the torch. An unofficial funeral for the Patriots reign
