Let’s see who got more money before we pretend to know how the league views these players. You’ll look pretty bad saying “the entire NFL knows it” if that’s not how it plays out.
-
I hope that you’re right. Statistics wouldn’t support that. Cook making the leap is the only way that they will be better than okay. He might just do that. He was good late in the season.
-
That’s fair. He is definitely a better fit next to Cook. He’s what people wanted Moss to be.
-
That’s probably a part of the excitement in this thread. He has been GREAT against the Bills.
-
I don’t think that Harris is better (I do think it is close though). I do think Harris is a better fit next to Cook (who I expect to be the primary back). I’m fine with the signing. I would have preferred a mid-round pick or someone that doesn’t count in the comp formula. With that being said, Harris will be fine and improve the Bills in short yardage. Cook’s development is the best hope for the running game to make the leap.

Singeltary has 368 more touches than Harris. These conversations only work when we apply facts and real info. People can’t just make things like “Harris has 3x the workload.”
-
Lol, what are you taking about?!? Singletary has 368 more touches!! You think by just making up numbers, people will believe you?? 😂😂 I don’t think they are the same. I think Singletary is slightly better. He’s more durable and a better receiver.

They aren’t where they need to be, but they are incrementally better. Harty is a threat but he is 5’6” (or whatever) coming off a turf toe injury. He’s certainly a ? but was dynamic or a per target basis in NOLA. They LOVED him. He adds that “big play ability.” These other additions are minor upgrades IMO. The offense regressed last year. I’m hoping Dorsey improves this year as well. This offense is still dependent on Josh to carry them.
-
I actually believe Harty to be the most impactful offensive addition. He’s the guy that adds a dimension that they have been lacking. The rest of the additions are either slight upgrades on their predessors (Sherfield > Kumerow, McGovern > Saffold) or slight downgrades (Harris < Motor) IMO. Harty is a dynamic playmaker that can make things happen on his own. The offense has gotten better overall. They needed to. They needed people that can keep Josh upright and people that can take the ball to the house on their own. Hines has some of that as well and was used sparingly. They still need another WR near the top of the depth chart that can win at all 3 levels.
-
You might be right. Campbell feels like a reach there to me. I understand it though. He will play lots of snaps and the scheme doesn’t need to change drastically.
-
I’m thinking DL is on the table. I really wanted offense in the 1st 2 rounds. Protect Josh and give him weapons

Appreciate the intelligent conversation…

Elliot and a comp pick > Harris If this is the RB room, they are fine. That’s EXACTLY what I said. If they took McBride or Bigsby in the middle of the draft, they would have been fine. I don’t see this is anything more than raising the floor (which is okay).
-
Why is he better? They have the same YPC. Motor has been way more durable while playing in a less run-friendly offense. Motor is also a superior reciever. Again, Harris is a decent back. He raises the floor.
-
We know but you haven’t articulated why. You just called me a dick because I think he’s “solid.” I’d love to hear WHY you think differently?? I hope that he’s a star. I just don’t see it. He is fine and helps the team. He eliminates a hole.
-
So you think he will be a star? I said that he is solid. He’s a (slightly) lesser Motor IMO. He also hurts the potential for comp picks (not that we need to focus on that). I would have preferred the draft. Harris is fine but it doesn’t move the needle for me.
-
You might be right. TE seems like a real possibility. This signing tells me that they don’t think Bijan will be there. They must not love the “middle round” guys. Harris raises the floor.
-
Again, I don’t need your approval. My reputation is solid here. What SPECIFICALLY do you disagree with that I said??
-
Lol, sorry to burst your bubble. They signed a decent rotational back with injury history. You are calling me “a dick” for calling it like it is. He’s okay but doesn’t deserve a key to the city or a parade.
-
That’s what I’m afraid of.
-
Sorry for being a realist? He’s “fine.” They are “okay” at RB. Both of those things are true. Harris raises the floor and lessens the need for a back. Do you really see this signing differently?!? 😂😂
-
He’s fine. The Bills are trying to “eliminate holes” on offense in FA. The RB room is okay at the moment.
-
Thought the comments were interesting from Dolphins fans. They really liked him.
-
I don’t care about “positions.” I care about the players. If there were a list of players, I’d vote on them. The value at 27, likely, won’t be great. JSN would be my first choice but he almost certainly won’t be there. I’m cool with Bijan, Darnell Wright, Dawand Jones, Zay Flowers, Dalton Kincaid and others. I want offense.
-
I agree 100%. That’s why, when it comes to the draft, we should focus on “the elite talents” and not positions. As an example, Bijan Robinson, will almost certainly be the highest rated player on the board, if he makes it to the Bills. He’s a top 10 talent in this draft. Are you better of taking him or A RT with some flaws or a LB that’s a bit of a reach? I’m coming around on the idea that a TE (like Kincaid) may be the pick at 27. While we have “bigger needs” you should take a swing at a potentially elite talent.
