  1. I don’t think we will have that issue. In a league that’s like 70% or 80% black you won’t last long if that offends you. The only player kneeling for that kicks for the Patriots. No, not a player. Just a random Bills fan. He’s furious about it. He’s also furious about masks. He is mentally challenged though (seriously) so not sure how much offense to take.
  2. I guess the point is that this is how black people have always felt. This song isn’t a new thing. It is just new to white people. We are “adding” the black anthem to pre-game festivities but not to black culture. The song is over 100 years old.
  3. They aren’t getting a 1st!! Deandre Hopkins just got traded for a 2nd and a bad contract. Njoku is probably going to fetch a 5th that becomes a 4th or something like that.
  4. This is an EASY yes (and I’m a big fan of Knox). If the Bills trade for Njoku it will be the best TE room in franchise history. There I said it.
  5. They play most years now against Atlanta
  6. Before Cam got hurt his numbers were ahead of his MVP season. He didn’t go there to battle Stidham. He went there to be the QB of the Patriots. IF (big IF) Cam is healthy he’s playing all year. There’s no doubt about that. He wasn’t going there otherwise. Stidham is not good. I think we are still better than them. I’m with @Stank_Nasty in that they went from 6 or 7 wins to 9 or 10. We should still win that many games but the Pats can now compete.
  7. Stidham sucks. The Pats know that and HAVE known that. Cam isn’t there to battle with some scrub. He must be healthy and he’s there to play. The Pats now can make the playoffs. I voted that they will but am not that confident in that. They were going to be a 6 win team with Stidham and they’ll be about a 9 win team with Cam.
  8. You don’t think that they are similar runners? They always make the first man miss in the backfield and get as many yards as they possibly could. Both guys have great instincts as runners. That’s why they are high YPC guys. They also finish in the red zone. With the exception of the Josh Allen sneaks I think that they’re virtually identical as runners. Josh uses the middle of the field more for sure compared to Tyrod at the beginning of his Bills career. He used it a lot more at the end than at the beginning. Josh is really good in the intermediate. Tyrod was one of the best deep ball throwers in the league at the time. That’s where they differ.
  9. I do to an extent. They both are tough when the play breaks down. They both kept a lot of plays alive in the backfield that should have been sacks. Neither threw a lot of 50/50 balls which is why their turnovers are low. They were “good misses.” Allen is better in the intermediate and Tyrod better down the field. They were good on 3rd down as well. Both guys were pretty fearless runners too (which I love). Now, I believe that Allen will continue to progress but his season last year wasn’t that different than Tyrod here.
  10. This x1,000,000 2nd year Allen was just like Tyrod here. The hope is that Allen continues to progress. I think he will.
  11. Don’t underestimate the “eff Pittsburgh” factor when it comes to Baltimore.
  12. I guess my point is that they are DEFINITELY better. I don’t know how much better but there’s no doubt in my mind that they have taken a step forward. If the Pats improve, even incrementally, it’s not a positive for the Bills. It may not matter but there’s no way that we can view this as a good thing.
  13. I really find it so weird that people are so positive about this for the Pats. The Pats are unquestionably better today than they were Saturday. There’s been a lot of talk about Brady but he wasn’t going to be there this year anyways. The comparison isn’t Brady vs. Cam; it is Stidham vs. Cam. I don’t think that the Pats are great but they are much better now.
  14. I am not that cynical but I don’t think this just popped up either. I think they knew Cam was going to be their guy if healthy.
  15. The Patriots obviously knew Stidham wasn’t the answer. They were just monitoring the Cam situation until he was healthier and cheaper. We aren’t far removed from Cam playing good football. Before he got hurt in 2018 his numbers were actually ahead of his MVP year. If he’s healthy the Patriots are relevant again. Healthy Cam >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Stidham
  16. They have the worst pass catchers in the league. They have no speed. Their OL will be good and they should be able to run the ball. The Pats were going to be a 6 win team before this move. Now they can be better but they still shouldn’t be great. The Bills still have the best roster in the division by a pretty big margin but the Pats have BB. If they got to 9 wins I wouldn’t be shocked with Cam.
  17. I hate this. I’m on record as not believing any other AFC East team could get to .500. The Pats can now with a healthy Cam. This sucks
  18. 100% I believe that. My point was just if they are meddling (which I in no way encourage) they don’t all have the same understanding. Al Davis meddled. Al Davis knew football inside and out. Jerry Jones meddles; he knows football inside and out. Daniel Snyder meddles; he doesn’t know the game like that.
  19. The main difference is Jerry Jones was a captain of a National Championship team at Arkansas. Say what you want about the guy but he knows football inside and out. If he were on the headset he’d have a complete understanding of the conversations taking place. It may be meddling but it is informed meddling. Terry and Kim do not have anywhere close to Jones’ knowledge and understanding of the game.
  20. That’s a good point Mango. I think that’s what we are dealing with. In a vacuum this isn’t a big deal at all. There just isn’t potential or future upside to it and there is potential future downside.
  21. If we are drawing the line at 2000 I think that team is in the top 5 for sure. Last year’s team was the best, 2014, 2017 and 2004 are all sprinkled in there in some order. I actually believe both at this year will be the best Bills team since the 90’s even if the record is worse. I’ve said it a few times but I think it’s more likely that the Bills win the division than win 10 games. The schedule for the AFC East is brutal this year (ours is actually the easiest of the 4 teams). The Bills could be 9-7 and win the division but be dangerous in the playoffs. I think they’ll win 10 or 11 but even if they don’t this should be the best team since the forward lateral.
  22. I was trying to invest in it assuming that it will jump in value with the exposure from the NBA. It’s not publicly traded though (at least that I’m aware of).
  23. I don’t think anyone is denying her right to do it. She can coach the team if she wants. It’s her business. Generally the best owners are hands off business people, not super fans. Both of those things are true.
