Bills have weapons to be elite offense
Kirby Jackson replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree to a certain degree. The guy’s KC has are just better talents though for the most part. An argument could be made that Diggs is more talented than Hill (not necessarily better but more talented). In general though Mahomes > Allen, Kelce > Knox, Watkins > Brown, Etc... With that being said I do not think Allen is a liability like those on the outside seem to think. He’s an asset and a playmaker. This offense takes a BIG step this year and ends up a top 10 group IMO. KC is just in their own tier because of their speed. There is no reason to believe that the Bills offense can’t be Minnesota or Seattle though. -

I was just coming here to see who is OFFICIALLY done with the season. They better act quickly because kickoff is 6 seconds away -
If he gives us the same production as Shaq did over the last year and a half it will be a good pick. They still need a young, athletic, edge rusher but that is in addition to, not instead of. With Hughes, Addison and Murphy, they are fine for now. That’s probably pretty high on the draft list next year.

Look at the Jets secondary and then look at the Bills pass catchers. Someone PLEASE explain to me what they see to make them believe that the Bills will face ANY sort of resistance? In “camp” they’ve been able to throw the ball on the Bills secondary which is arguably the NFL’s best. The Jets are possibly the NFL’s worst. I just don’t see how they can hang.

First Coach Fired This Season and When
Kirby Jackson replied to Big Gun's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good topic!! I guess that I’ll go with Gase at the bye week. -
I honestly think that push the Jets all over the field. They take advantage of that trash secondary and pump balls to Diggs. I said 31-10 and feel like it may not ever be that close. The Jets will get a little better as the year goes on but there is an enormous talent gap between the 2 teams. Add the Bills continuity in a abnormal offseason and it is a recipe for a massacre.

Lmao, Tyrod’s gonna start another football game ?
Kirby Jackson replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, but in hindsight he certainly has. Fitz is lovable. We all still like the guy and he played QB for the Jets AND Dolphins since being here. Everyone treats him as a goofy gunslinger that just wasn’t quite good enough. -

Kirby Jackson replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That’s fair and I’d have Tyrod ahead of Fitz but close. Fitz made plays and made mistakes. Tyrod mostly did neither. He was a very good game manager. That’s not an insult. Fitz’s “sustained success” was more that he rarely was awful. He was like a poor man’s version of 2019 Phil Rivers. -
It’s funny how things happen. There were people that were ADAMANT that the Bills would have taken AJE in the 1st round if they had a pick. Imagine if that were the case and he wasn’t active week 1?!? Epenesa fell into the Bills’ lap but he wasn’t on top of their board heading into day 2. He’s a role player and that’s fine. He will work his way onto the field and be a solid all-around player. This isn’t some athletic freak though that we should expect double-digit sacks from. He’s kind of like Shaq.

I think that part of the reason that I always defend Tyrod around here is because people treat him as interchangeable with EJ, Bledsoe, Edwards, Losman, etc.. He was not that. Tyrod and Fitz (who gets a pass because everyone loves him) were the only okay starting QBs of the last 20 years (before JA). Orton had some moments as did Bledsoe. Only Tyrod and Fitz though had periods of sustained success. The problem however, is that the ceiling was lower. They weren’t going to win Super Bowls but they could win NFL games. That’s why they are starting games in 2020 still while those others washed out of the league (although Bledsoe had a few years to stink in Dallas). -
Jalen Ramsey extension with Rams - 5 years/105 mill
Kirby Jackson replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That’s probably right. If that Ramsey deal came before Tre’s he probably wasn’t signing until the offseason. -

Jalen Ramsey extension with Rams - 5 years/105 mill
Kirby Jackson replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess that I think that’s a moot point because I don’t think Ramsey was signing until Tre did. I really believe though that being “the highest paid ever” is VERY important to players, agents and believe it or not, teams. These teams need to set a tone that this place will take care of you. The Bills have a very good reputation as a destination around the league. I am now VERY curious to see what happens with Lattimore and Humphrey. My guess is that Ramsey pushed the market too far and now they wait until next offseason. -

Guys reset the market. That’s how it works. Tre may have known that Ramsey’s contract was coming. It was widely reported that it would. Ramsey may have waited for Tre. It is likely that Tre knew Ramsey’s deal was coming but he was still willing to sign. I don’t disagree with that. If Tre came AFTER Ramsey though he would have been higher. It is as much about optics and agents as anything else. I guaranteed earlier this offseason that at some point Tre would be the highest paid CB ever in terms of AAV. It was a little less than I expected but he was. That’s just how it happens. Deandre Hopkins just did it too. The QBs are the one weird anomaly but other than that ALL superstars reset the market. If you want my opinion, I think a lot of that comes from the union as well. When the market gets reset it’s good for everyone. -

This is EXACTLY why we should have been thrilled that Tre was first. If Tre signed tomorrow he was going to be an AAV of $21.5M. No matter what, he was going to sign for the biggest CB contract ever. That’s how it works. The market gets reset. With Ramsey, Humphrey, Lattimore all in line for a new deal it was huge for Tre to be first.- 125 replies

Why are the Bills sticking with such a poor punter?
Kirby Jackson replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is a clear hole on the team (if we have one). I really hope that he doesn’t make one of those mistakes at the wrong time and cost the Bills a game. They really should have brought in better competition for him. My preference was Marquette King. I also hope with the new kicker they found a new holder. -
Hate to see that. Miller is one of the special talents and personalities in the league. Wish him a speedy recovery!!
