  1. I was wondering if they looked at Dugger as Milano’s replacement? He could have played some this year and then taken over next year.
  2. Kyle Dugger was their day 2 target but he went off the board before they picked.
  3. So Super Bowl?
  4. No, but in hindsight he certainly has. Fitz is lovable. We all still like the guy and he played QB for the Jets AND Dolphins since being here. Everyone treats him as a goofy gunslinger that just wasn’t quite good enough.
  5. It’s more of a local story. I don’t think too many National guys are concerned about the Buffalo Bills 2nd round pick in a season with SO many bigger stories. Winters and AJE/Johnson
  6. That’s fair and I’d have Tyrod ahead of Fitz but close. Fitz made plays and made mistakes. Tyrod mostly did neither. He was a very good game manager. That’s not an insult. Fitz’s “sustained success” was more that he rarely was awful. He was like a poor man’s version of 2019 Phil Rivers.
  7. It’s funny how things happen. There were people that were ADAMANT that the Bills would have taken AJE in the 1st round if they had a pick. Imagine if that were the case and he wasn’t active week 1?!? Epenesa fell into the Bills’ lap but he wasn’t on top of their board heading into day 2. He’s a role player and that’s fine. He will work his way onto the field and be a solid all-around player. This isn’t some athletic freak though that we should expect double-digit sacks from. He’s kind of like Shaq.
  8. I think that part of the reason that I always defend Tyrod around here is because people treat him as interchangeable with EJ, Bledsoe, Edwards, Losman, etc.. He was not that. Tyrod and Fitz (who gets a pass because everyone loves him) were the only okay starting QBs of the last 20 years (before JA). Orton had some moments as did Bledsoe. Only Tyrod and Fitz though had periods of sustained success. The problem however, is that the ceiling was lower. They weren’t going to win Super Bowls but they could win NFL games. That’s why they are starting games in 2020 still while those others washed out of the league (although Bledsoe had a few years to stink in Dallas).
  9. That’s probably right. If that Ramsey deal came before Tre’s he probably wasn’t signing until the offseason.
  10. I guess that I think that’s a moot point because I don’t think Ramsey was signing until Tre did. I really believe though that being “the highest paid ever” is VERY important to players, agents and believe it or not, teams. These teams need to set a tone that this place will take care of you. The Bills have a very good reputation as a destination around the league. I am now VERY curious to see what happens with Lattimore and Humphrey. My guess is that Ramsey pushed the market too far and now they wait until next offseason.
  11. Guys reset the market. That’s how it works. Tre may have known that Ramsey’s contract was coming. It was widely reported that it would. Ramsey may have waited for Tre. It is likely that Tre knew Ramsey’s deal was coming but he was still willing to sign. I don’t disagree with that. If Tre came AFTER Ramsey though he would have been higher. It is as much about optics and agents as anything else. I guaranteed earlier this offseason that at some point Tre would be the highest paid CB ever in terms of AAV. It was a little less than I expected but he was. That’s just how it happens. Deandre Hopkins just did it too. The QBs are the one weird anomaly but other than that ALL superstars reset the market. If you want my opinion, I think a lot of that comes from the union as well. When the market gets reset it’s good for everyone.
  12. This is EXACTLY why we should have been thrilled that Tre was first. If Tre signed tomorrow he was going to be an AAV of $21.5M. No matter what, he was going to sign for the biggest CB contract ever. That’s how it works. The market gets reset. With Ramsey, Humphrey, Lattimore all in line for a new deal it was huge for Tre to be first.
  13. He is a clear hole on the team (if we have one). I really hope that he doesn’t make one of those mistakes at the wrong time and cost the Bills a game. They really should have brought in better competition for him. My preference was Marquette King. I also hope with the new kicker they found a new holder.
  14. Hate to see that. Miller is one of the special talents and personalities in the league. Wish him a speedy recovery!!
  15. He’s technically a free agent. There’s no reason to object to that part. They can have whatever free agents in the game that they want (especially if there is demand). My issue is that he is graded out above half of the starting QBs in the league. I don’t believe that Colin Kapernick is the 16th best QB. My objection has ZERO to do with politics. I also took issue when Gore received a higher grade than Motor. I watched them both in the same offense and they shouldn’t be within 10 points of each other. Madden has gotten lazy and is basically a monopoly. I didn’t purchase it and I don’t plan on it (although that is subject to change if I’m really bored lol).
  16. I have no issue with Kaep being in Madden. I have a big issue with him being graded as an 81.

  18. This one is the hardest for me. You could make an argument for anyone but Jacksonville. I went Tennessee because they felt like the highest floor. They are physical and balanced. The Texans have, by far, the best QB in the division. That gives them a chance. The Colts are pretty complete as well, especially if you believe Rivers has anything left in the tank.
  19. Tried to post this in the thread about the Bills winning the division but it was closed. I think that it works here too. Not winning the division will be a manor disappointment to me. I don’t see another .500 team in the division. The Bills will have to regress (or battle injuries) to not win it IMO. Let’s assume that they do stay healthy though. There are only a couple of things that could go wrong if that’s the case: Allen, OL, pass rush. Let’s start with the pass rush. The Bills got pass rush last year from Shaq and Phillips. They do not have an elite edge rusher. Both Hughes and Addison are a year older and Epenesa may not have the feet. Murphy is constantly dinged and in his last year. It is possible that the Bills don’t get enough pressure (specifically from the edge). If that’s the case QBs will have time to find openings against the Bills bend but don’t break defense. The Bills could quickly become an average unit if that’s the case. They’d probably have to address it in the first round. Miami’s Gregory Rousseau would be the obvious target if you are bad enough. He may even warrant a trade up. The Bills need more athleticism on the EDGE whether they win the division or not. The right side of the OL could be the other area of concern. It was a weakness last year. Is Ford a guard? Tackle? Backup? What about Nsekhe & Williams? Too old? You see where I’m going with this. There are still questions there. Josh wants to roll right to make plays. That’s where he has the option to take off or go up top. The whole field is in front of him rolling that way. If they continue to collapse that side it will limit Josh’s playmaking ability. Maybe someone like Alex Leatherwood who has been the RT at Alabama? He’s played against that elite SEC speed on the edge. He’s blocked for a lefty and a righty. He just feels like a guy that could come in week 1 and help you. Lastly it would mean that Josh stopped progressing. If that’s the case I do not think that the Bills draft his replacement. Their window is open now. If Allen isn’t the guy I think that the Bills make a move for Matt Stafford. Detroit is forever Detroit. They may believe that it’s best to start over. The Bills send a couple of 1sts to the Lions and get 5-8 years of Stafford. This gives them the chance to win immediately. I don’t see anything else that can prevent the Bills from winning the division (if healthy). This team is too deep and too talented to finish anywhere but 1st in the AFC East. The rest of the division is bad. It is improving but the lack of the offseason will hurt those other teams early in the year. I expect the Bills to win the division by 2+ games. Let’s enjoy it!!
  20. I just don’t see how that secondary competes with our receivers. I don’t see how those Jets “playmakers“ make any plays. This matchup feels completely one sided. An argument can be made that the Bills are better at every single position group.
  21. I gave 17 this morning and got it at +330. I think that the Bills blast this trash Jets team. This game feels like 31-10.
  22. What a GREAT deal for the Bills!! We have a star and paid him as such but below what he should have gotten. Love this!!!
