Ironically, after bitching for 25 years or so about not being able to get Sunday TIcket, now that I can (I even signed up for YoutubeTV), I am going to pass this year. I live in Texas...looking at the Bills schedule, assuming they are still a winning team this year, between primetime games, and Sunday afternoon high profile games, I think I will get to see anywhere from 10-12 Bills games without Sunday Ticket. I will go to the bar, for the other 5 or 6. I do subscribe to NFL+ ($99 for a year), and if I am understanding correctly, though you still can't watch game live, the y are including Red Zone with it. Not sure how much I would use Red Zone (I like to focus on one game at a time), but it's nice to have that option available, at no extra charge. To get Red Zone through YoutubeTV it is $10.99 a month.

Reich Vs Kosar...one time greatest comeback in NCAA football history
Buftex replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall
You know what I noticed re-watching, they never mention during the broadcast that it was the biggest comeback in NCAA history...like everyone was just caught up in the excitement of the game, and perhaps, technology wasn't as lightening fast back then, so they didn't know until after the game? Either way, it was a fun watch. I really liked Kosar, and it was fun seeing Reich being so mobile. Having only seen him in his NFL career, I always thought of him as a little more statuesque.. -
Preseason football is like stems and seeds. The Big 10 network is currently showing a replay of Frank Reich leading the Maryland Terps over Bernie Kosar's Miami Hurricanes, 1984, It was the biggest comeback in NCAA history, I believe, until 2006. God game...much more entertaining than the presesaon games!

I do believe that all the pre-season games are broadcast live on NFL+. Not the case for the regular season, but in the preseason only. If you don't have NFL+, NFL Network will show the game at 7am eastern Sunday Morning (Aug.13), and again Wednesday (Aug. 16th) at 4pm eastern. Personally, Saturday games suck for me, so though I will watch, it won't be live.

Thanks...while I am not heading out there, trying to convince a buddy of mine to take his son. The kid loves the Bills...going to a game is a bit out of their budget...in some ways I think this might be even more fun for a 9 year old. We took him to a game back in 2021...he was excited to be there, but was kinda bored by the end, and it was pouring out.

So, not to hijack this thread, because I know it is info about what happened on the practice field (I appreciate that), but can anyone who was there today tell me how accessible this is for kids? The last time I was at SJF was 2007 (Marv Levy was the GM) and it was super fan friendly, especially for kids. They had a schedule and tents set up for specific position groups to meet with the kids. As I recall, Xerox was out there, handing out programs, photos etc etc. I know a lot can change in 15 years...is it still set up for the kids?

He certainly played a role Best of luck to him.

Disagreeing with someone is not censoring or blocking them. These hearings are nothing but more subterfuge from desprate MAGAs. They found their rube in RFK Jr....a man with a skin as thin as DJT.

I deal with this kind of thing every day. I let them in. There are some horrendous drivers out there...I'm not risking their, my or anyone else's life for someone's poor judgement. Not too long ago, I was moving, and had a truck full of stuff, on the interstate. I put my blinker on to get into the exit lane as soon as it is legal to switch lanes. (If only people would observe the laws about passing over a double white line!0 It was a bad traffic day. Not one ####### would let me in..,I ended up having to go to the next exit, and loop back around to my destination. There were plenty of opportunities for someone to let me in...I wasn't going to force it. Not worth the possible headaches. I will never understand why people treat their vehicles like weapons.

Andrew Luck will be eligible for the HOF in 2024
Buftex replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Calvin Johnson is a worthy entrant into the HOF, but your point about TO is spot on. Perhaps the HOF wanted to throw poor, long suffering Lions fans A bone? Before Calvin was inducted, they had 21 players in the HOF...only one (Barry) had played for the Lions in the last 40 years, Curly Culp spent the final, forgettable, year of his HOF career as a Lion in 1981. Pretty slim pickings after that. -
Thad Brown the first to be offended by Josh

I get it that sports are entertainment, and I understand why the sports leagues want their members to give the media access..but it really doesn't add anything to the games. It reaches the points of utter absurdity. Stories about stories written become stories. End of the day, the coaches, the players are human...they may say things that get misconstrued...people like Mike Florio just chomp at the bit for someone to mis-speak. Can't help but feel a little sorry for McDermott...he handled a situation the best way he saw, was asked a question while it was still a fluid situation...then him "needing to be fired" becomes the national narrative...Allen is stuck as the face of the franchise and will never be able to avoid the questions...media clowns wait for him to say something they can pounce on. And, for the better part of six months, these idiots play "connect the dots" and put words in Diggs mouth, when they really have no idea what may be bothering him. He's really the only one who can clarify this situation.... -
That is cool. Highlights from this game are much harder to come by than the 1965 game. Thanks for posting!

Cowherd is the poster-boy for why sports media sucks...he is a total wind-sock...a man who is a proud front-runner. There may be worse, but because so many seem to put stock in what he says, and think he is "smart", I loathe him more than any national sports-talk radio personality... he openly admits that he is a "shiny object" sports fan....and if you are not, he thinks you are wasting your time.

I was there too. The Bills looked great, then the strike happened, and the wheels fell off for about 5 years...good ol days

Though I would still love a Hopkins trade, Evans is the guy I have always wanted for the Bills.

Ironically, after pining for Sunday Ticket for 20 plus years, now that I can finally get it, I think I might pass. I may get the YTTV sports package (10.99 a month) which has a bunch of crap I don't care about...but it has RedZone. I am not sure how much I would actually even use it, but so many swear it is the greatest innovation in NFL viewing. I personally like just focusing on one game...but we shall see. Reason I am thinking of passing on Sunday Ticket is not only the money, but I feel like I am bound to get somewhere between 7-12 Bills games without it. I can go to the Backers bar (which I enjoy, been doing for 30 years) if I can't watch at home. I will likely re-up on NFL +. True, you can't watch games live, but I like rewatching Bills games during the week, in smaller chunks.

B-Man's soul died years ago....

I got an white, black and orange Mitchell & Ness Buffalo Braves, Bob McAdoo jersey as a gift, years ago. The only other I ever owned was Kevin McHale. I never wear any jerseys any more, but basketball jerseys, with no sleeves, were never really my style..

I have been using NFL+ for as long as it has been available. It is great. Though I normally go to a bar to watch the Bills games live (I live in Texas, so they are not on local tv often), there are normally some games that I can't watch live, because of work. I just avoid the scores to the best of my abilities (I have only ever been "spoiled" once in recent years, but I still watched!) and watch the Bills game as soon as I can. In the early days, you couldn't access it until about 11pm in the evening, but now, it is within an hour or so. I will tell you, if you watch the earlier played games the minute it becomes available, it will include commercial breaks (most actual ads blacked out, so you are just seeing a stationary "commercial break" image). If you watch later in the evening, the commercials are pretty much completely edited out...so your stream goes from 3:20 minutes, to about 2:12 minutes...so if you are not in a huge rush, that is appealing. I say all this, keeping in mind that I am not sure how/if the new YouTube Sunday Ticket exclusive will affect NFL Plus. I am hoping there is no change. Even when I see the games live, I normally like to rewatch them in small chunks over the following week....and if I have time the coaches film is kinda interesting for certain things!

While driving around a little earlier, listenimg to sports talk, they referenced something from the USA Today linking Oliver to a Detroit Lions trade. Bills would get a draft pick, and free up 10 mill* for Hopkins. Can't imagine getting thing higher than a fifth round pick for Oliver, given his contract situation.

I don't know about 2023, but I do think the 2022 Buffalo Bills would have been better off if Beasley had been there the entire season. People forget, the reasons he wasn't there all along were mostly of his own doing. The Bills wanted him. While his impact was minimal upon returning, I think that speaks as much to the teams seeming reluctance sometimes to adapt on the fly, as it does to his abilities. While I wasn't a big fan of his "controversial" position on COVID bs, I think he was a tremendous asset to the Bills offense. About as sure handed a receiver as we have seen in decades. I understand the need to get younger at the position, but if they did somehow decide to bring him back to see if he can still compete for a job, I would be pulling for him. Of course, if they add DeAnde Hopkins this week, that could change things...but as it stands, right now, pre-draft, I feel like our WR corp is different, not necessarily better.
