  1. Whatever they do with the defense, they have to infuse it with a "nasty" element that they are lacking sometimes. The Chiefs had it against us... the Bucs defense had it the other night...the Ravens always have it. They may not win every game, but most everyone was a little scared of Balitmore in the playoffs, as much becasue their defensive reputation as their QB.
  2. Trump couldn't get a better stand-up comedian/lackey to defend him? Feeling a little guilty about backing this peice of ***** B-Man? i thought not...keep your head up your ass.
  3. No doubt in my mind, the Bucs won because of their defense... but trying to downplay Brady just sounds dumb after a while.
  4. Remember that...Kelvin Benjemin caught Josh Allen's first NFL td pass...the first of 100's
  5. Pretty amazing year to be a Tampa Bay sports fan...
  6. I have a roommate who roots for QB's...she loved Brady, but ditched him (to her credit) after deflate-gate. Now she is all about Mahomes. I like the kid, but she is so freaking obnoxious. I had to watch the Bills/Cheifs game on my own.
  7. You know, I think Rodgers is an excellent QB. I always kind of like the Packers as a default team...but there is something a little unlikable about him. I appreciate that he is not a cookie-cutter responder. and politically, I think he and I are symaptico. But, there is an air of smugness about him that isn't very appealing. I like him, but I can see why some don't. Though, anyone who makes the argument that he isn't good, or overrated (nobody here seems to be making that argument) is just off.
  8. Honeslty, I don't think it is a bad thing that he didn't win. Keep this team hungry.
  9. I know there were rumors about him having an "attitude" problem, but I just don't see it. If anybody had a chance to see the extended NFL Films highlights package from the AFC Championship game, with all the sideline microphone stuff, you can't help but be impressed by what a leader the guy is. It wasn't the phony stuff...they just show him pacing up and down the sidelines throughout the game, firing up teammates. "We can still win this!" It seemed very real, and sincere. The guy wants to win. I think we have a team that has a great attitude overall...but I wish they all showed a little more of that kind of "nasty" desire to win, like Diggs has. The Chiefs had it against us... we need more. Diggs is a great example.
  10. Sorry, if it has been brought up before, but you realize, if the Bucs win on Sunday, LeSean McCoy would have earned back to back Super Bowl rings, after leaving Buffalo...all without breaking a sweat?
  11. I came to cards in 1973. I was 8 years old. I remember buying pack after pack, putting together nearly an entire set. I had multiples of all the Bills players, but never could pull an OJ Simpson. The brothers who lived next door to me, who always had the best toys, the best everything, collected cards too. They had 4 of the Simpson cards. I tried every trade combo I could think of for that one card. The older brother wouldn't budge. Finally, I went all Mike Ditka on him, and offered him every single card I owned (up to that point, it was lots of 1973 football, hockey and basketball) for that one damn card. Every Buffalo Bill, Sabre and Brave. He finally accepted my offer. I have amassed a pretty huge card collection over the decades, but that one card is still my most treasured card. You can probably get a nice one now for about $10.00 It was a beauty. At that time, most of the football cards were kind of portrait shots of the player, with no helmet. But this card had an action shot of Juice, mid "shake and bake" move, as a Bears linebacker (#60 Wally Chambers) is tailing behind him. Just a beautiful card...the only complaint, OJ's helmet is just solid white, as they didn't have copyright for logos. Those boxes are probably worth more than most of the cards! Very nice!
  12. I would guess it is becasue the Pats offensive roster is probably worse than what he is leaving behind in Detroit. He also got a little taset of the "Patriot way" from the previous coach, Matt Patrica...who I believe is returning to New England.
  13. Think there is any chance that the Lions try to trade Goff?
  14. She was based on David Chase's (Italian) mother...he said she bore a striking resemblance...including here height.
  15. Honestly, I was missing Lawson at points this season.
  16. You know, this 2020 season was the exception to that rule. Not saying that I didn't think we could beat Tennessee, KC and Arizona in the regular season (or KC in the playoffs), but none of those losses were super surprising. Going in, we really didn't know just how good the Bills would be this year, so assuming victories over Chiefs and Titans was something I don't think most did...and for some reason, the way the Arizona game fell on the schedule, I always had that game earmarked as a loss. What a great season this really was. Could definitely see Buffalo/KC opening the season on Thursday night...or Sunday Night opening weekend. Especially if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl.
  17. Don't forget, they are expected to go to a 17 game regular season schedule next year. I believe we will play the WTF. Not sure if it will be home or on the road.
  18. Everybody take a deep breath...
  19. I would say there has never been a group of better actors assembled for a tv show. Falco, Marchand, Dominic Chianese, Aida Turturo, Lorraine Bracco...all just steller...but for me, Michale Imperioli is the most underappreciated of the bunch. I think he was perfect in that role.
  20. Love this team, but we are just not in the same class as the Chiefs, just yet. It is a case of "pick your poisons" when playing the Chiefs. Not to say the coaching staff couldn't, or shouldn't have tried other things, but we just weren't beating that team last night. I agree completely on not going for it on 4th down, in the red-zone. If I recall, one of those situations came at the end of the first half, and the other on the first drive of the second. It was pretty clear, in the second quarter, the game was slipping away from the Bills...McDermott made great strides this season to get away from some of his "too conservative" leanings, but last night, he reverted to form. Trading TD's for field goals was not going to win that game. McDermott should have known that.
  21. I was actually kind of surprised that they are waiting two weeks to play the Super Bowl. I know 2 weeks is the tradition, but they have ignored that in other years. I think the longer there is between the championship games and the Super Bowl, the greater the chance that COVID becomes a factor.
  22. This is the one rock-n'roll anthem that always gets my blood going...
  23. For me it was the old music show "Night Flight", and then episodes of David Letterman's original daytime show. My family had the first VCR of anyone that we knew...I was the only one in my family (8 kids, 2 parents= 10) who could figure out how to program it to record. I remember my father setting his alarm to get up at all odd times of the night to get up and press "record" when a movie he wanted to watch would come on. Then he would just stumble back to bed. I tried showing him...and my siblings. They just didn't get it...it was my super-power for a year or two!
  24. I probably wouldn't want to watch it right now...but when it originally aired, I thought it just recaptured that whole magical 4 year run (really a 6 year run for me) beautifully. I got over the fact that they didn't win any SB's a long time ago. It was just an amazing time to be a Bills fan. This season is much the same...and it just came out of "nowhere" in some ways. I knew we had a good team to cheer on...but they have far exceeded my hopes and expectations.
