Ksk's ranking of 100 most average players in NFL history
Buftex replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I read that...but it wasn't really funny...trying to figure out where the humor angle is on this...it is just like saying, here is a list of 100 avereage Americans, and then, just going to a phone book, and randomly selecting 100 names...what is funny about this? What is the point? -
Happy birthday AJ...

You gotta win four games to win the series.

Time Warner has a ton of HD channels...about 225...how many more would you need?

Another fine episode, but a little dirty... we got to see Don at his best, and absolute worst.

Hey, since you mentioned it, my nephew, has a new rap/hip-hop cd out in Austrailia...he was born, raised in Adelaide, Austrailia, spent his high school years on the mean streets of Buffalo, NY, and went back to Austrailia asap! All the way from Alice Springs: Dan the Underdog with his CD "The Rawlest" is "bubbling down under". Check out "Smooth As Lotion" and "Hypocrite"...."I'm like a kid in a porn shop, I can't be served!" http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/dantheunderdog

The Spurs were also a little rusty...they had about a week (maybe nine days) off. Time off is great for an older team, but too much time off can hurt too. The fact that the Spurs still managed to control the game in the 4th qrtr doesn't bode well for OKC, in my opinion. This was the game that OKC could/should have stolen. Spurs are very difficult to beat, especially at home. I think the Spurs will win this series in five games. Would love to see the Celtics knock off the Heat, but I am not sure I would put money on it...not saying the Celtics can't do it, but LeBron and Wade are playing some incredible basketball the last week or so... If the Celtics and Spurs end up in the finals (my dream) I will absolutely be heading to SA to cheer on gang-Green!

He obviously has his followers, but I think he is, hands down, the worst national sports talk show host on the air right now. Mike & Mike, can be dull, and repetitive, but, I do like the fact that, for the most part, they just talk about sports...I feel like if I hear them for about 30 minutes every morning, I pretty much have heard all the "talking points" that will dominate ESPN sports coverage for the day...Cowherd is just kind a soul-less ass, who says anything, and is contrarion, just for the sake of disagreeing...he is no where as clever or witty as he seems to think he is...his endless analogies are terrible, and he repeats them until you want to smash his, or your own, head in...I can't really think of anything redeeming about his show...even his voice is irritating...
-
Can take or leave all of them...but Barkley is the best! Stephen A gets a bad rap because of his screaming style...but he is far more knowledgable than most of the other ESPN NBA talking heads...

The other option is "NFL Re-wind" which allows you to watch any NFL game, from whatever the current season is, on your computer, with an HD signal. At $40 for a season (an extra $15 for pre-season) it is a steal. Only catch is, you can't watch the games live. In fact, you can't access it at all, if there is an NFL broadcast on any of the networks. For example, you can't watch a Sunday afternoon Bills game, until the broadcast for the Sunday night game is over on NBC. You can't watch the re-play of a Sunday game, on Monday evening while Monday Night Football is on...so, it definitely has its' drawbacks. I go to a bar to watch the games on Sunday, and then, replay the game (and other NFL games) during the following week, when I have down-time.

Colin Cowherd, hands down:

If they can get a little offensive consistency going, this 76ers team could be very similar to the Pistons teams that were so good earlier in this century.

Had a crazy day...just got finished watching the game, tape delay. Of course, I am glad the Celtics won, but I was really impressed with the Sixers. You have a lot to be proud of. If they hold things together, and find some consistent scoring, as you said, they could be a team to reckon with over the next few years. They play great defensive basketball...congrats to them, and Doug Collins, for an impressive performance. I have to admit, when Iguodoua (sp) hit that 2ptr with about 4 minutes left, and cut the Celtics lead to 3, I was getting a little scared. I expected Boston to win this series going in, but I didn't think it was going to be so tough...my head tells me the Celtics don't have a great chance of beating Miami in the next round...but I can never count them out. They have to get some offense out of Rondo and Ray in this series. They both came through when it was sorely needed tonight...it really has been a thrill to watch Rondo blossom into a superstar...I had my doubts about him many times over the last five years, but I am not doubting him anymore, after this season. Guy just gets better all the time. I am so glad that Ainge never pulled the trigger on any of those rumored trade proposals over the years.

Erin Andrews? Carissa Thompson? Attractive no doubt, but in a generic, boring way...Beadle isn't gorgeous, just real, and funny.

On the first day, he sadly packed his belongings into boxes, crates and suitcases. On the second day, he had the movers come and collect his things. On the third day, he sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining-room table, by candle-light; he put on some soft background music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar and a bottle of spring-water. When he'd finished, he went into each and every room and deposited a few half-eaten shrimps dipped in caviar into the hollow center of the curtain rods. He then cleaned up the kitchen and left. On the fourth day, the wife came back with her new boyfriend, and at first, all was bliss. Then, slowly, the house began to smell. They tried everything; cleaning, mopping, and airing-out the place. Vents were checked for dead rodents, and carpets were steam cleaned. Air fresheners were hung everywhere. Exterminators were brought in to set off gas canisters, during which time the two had to move out for a few days, and in the end they even paid to replace the expensive wool carpeting.. Nothing worked! People stopped coming over to visit. Repairmen refused to work in the house. The maid quit. Finally, they couldn't take the stench any longer, and decided they had to move, but a month later - even though they'd cut their price in half - they couldn't find a buyer for such a stinky house. Word got out, and eventually even the local realtors refused to return their calls. Finally, unable to wait any longer for a purchaser, they had to borrow a huge sum of money from the bank to purchase a new place. Then the ex called the woman and asked how things were going. She told him the saga of the rotting house. He listened politely and said that he missed his old home terribly and would be willing to reduce his divorce settlement in exchange for having the house. Knowing he could have no idea how bad the smell really was, she agreed on a price that was only 1/10th of what the house had been worth ... but only if he would sign the papers that very day. He agreed, and within two hours her lawyers delivered the completed paperwork. A week later the woman and her boyfriend stood smiling as they watched the moving company pack everything to take to their new home ...... and to spite the ex-husband, they even took the curtain rods!

Famous people you've seen in person

Another thread started by GoBillsDallas reminded me of another...Robert Plant. He has purchased a home here, in Austin...he has come into the record store I work in, on about a half dozen occaisions. The first time, I was clocking in from my lunch break, on a Saturday afternoon. I go back, and I see this guy, and a woman, backs to me, standing behind the desk of one of our buyers. The three of them are looking at some video clip on youtube. It was some sort of old-timey bluegrass thing...then I hear the guy speak, brit accent...I didn't immediately think "hey that's Robert Plant", but for some reason, I knew it was a familier voice. Once he leaned over the desk, I recognized the woman as Patty Griffin, an Austinite who comes in fairly regularly....when the guy turned around, I was kind of startled to recongnize him. I didn't say anything (you gotta act cool in these situations) but he just kind of looked at me like..."yeah, it's me"...he was actually very cool. While none of the store employees hassled him for an autograph or anything, a few customers did, and he was real nice to all of them, even though you could kind of tell, it was not something he really liked doing. Came to find out, after, that he and Patty Griffin are an item, and they are recording an ablum together. Part 2: One Saturday afternoon, Plant came in the store, and was pretty low key. In his old age, he kind of blends in with the other hippies in town. He came and went, without incident. Later that same night, Morrisey comes in...as you can guess, he was kind of pretetnious douche...I wouldn't have even have noticed him, but I was stocking some CD's close to where he was browsing, and all of a sudden, I have this big, bald "bodyguard" type, with a limey accent say "is there a problem?" I was thinking "wtf?"....then I look to my left and see I am standing next to Morrisey. He had two guys with him, one a bodyguard, and the other to deal with anyone who might try to communicate with him. Some kid who works at the store really wanted to get him to sign a Smiths album, but when he saw two customers get brushed back, he decided not to. He asked me if I thought he should "go for it". I told him "sure...if he says no, just tell him you will call Robert Plant down to the store to kick his ass." -

So, I take it you never hob-knobbed with this chef? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/24/asexual-mao-sugiyama-cooks-serves-own-genitals_n_1543307.html?ref=mostpopular -
I am pretty sure it is from "Hardcore"... he plays a guy whose runaway daughter gets mixed up in the seedy world of pornography.
