  1. The show isn't normally as obvious, but the last segment of the season premier was really just three scenes showing Walt flexing his newly perceived power over each of the characters that are most essential to him...first, Jesse & Mike in the car, then Saul in the lawyers office, and finally Skyler at home...this is obviously going to be what brings him down.
  2. She only used Walt's ill-gotten money, essentially, to protect herself, her boss, and Walt (primarily) from all getting arrested. The fact that she screwed her boss is pretty small in the scale of infractions being committed by most every character on this show. I don't understand the double standard that all of you Skyler haters have for her... I get the feeling if Minka Kelly was playing her, instead of Anna Gunn, the disdain for her character wouldn't run as deep.
  3. Well, to be fair, "Breaking Bad" isn't over yet... guess I am a little defensive about the Sopranos...don't get me wrong, I absolutely love "Breaking Bad", but they are two very different types of storytelling... "Breaking Bad" is much more plot oriented, while "Sopranos" was more about layer, texture and character development. I thought the Sopranos finale was pretty intense too, the second to last episode was about as intense as it gets. But that is just me... love both shows... and I would put "Mad Men" in the mix as well, three really amazing dramas.
  4. Funny...I guess I have been coming here too long...I thought for sure I was going to open this thread, and Beerball would have posted a link to some article, about a female from WNY, busted for doing something tawdry, and explaining her actions as being a means of getting allergy relief... the term "local honey" just threw me!
  5. Sting? As in pretentious, dull Sting, who used to sing with the Police? That Sting?
  6. Fitz played well enough, for me, the first half of the season, that he has earned the benefit of a doubt. The prevailing (stupid) theory, at the time, was that he singed his big new contract, and then rested on his laurels and stunk it up the rest of the season. That doesn't hold water for me... the huge hit he took against the Redskins makes more sense to me. There is nothing I have seen from him, or heard from Gailey/Nix (both pretty consistently candid) to suggest that he just stopped trying...that is not to say he didn't have some problems before that Skins game. We already knew, going into last season, Fitz does not posses the strongest arm...but he does posses a good amount of confidence, IMO. So, you have a QB who put together a nice start, because he wasn't afraid (like his two predecessors) to throw the ball into tight coverage, and trust his receivers to get the ball...even before that big hit, from what I saw, Fitz had to put too much of his body into his throws...with broken ribs, that has got to be even more difficult. Also, you can't underestimate the injury woes the Bills had in the second half of the season, and how little constancy they had along the O-line, and the receiving corp. Fitz still gets some slack from me...but not an unlimited amount. After what we (Bills fans) have seen since Bledsoe left, leadership qualities and confidence are real, valuable commodity's for an NFL QB. Fitz is not perfect, but he has a lot of good qualities going for him, I am ready to give him a chance to see
  7. Prolly not...they only show the good things in those propaganda films!
  8. Yes! In full 90's style!
  9. I was never a big wrestling fan, but I just stumbled upon this...not sure how I never saw, or even heard about this...gave me a chuckle...
  10. Yeah... I think Asner went off the deep-end somewhere...agreed, though, one of the all-time great sitcom characters. Lou Grant interviews Mary for the job, in the series piliot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lntq-ntUnno&feature=related btw- Mary was smokin' hot in her day too!
  11. I have a hunch, no matter his race, or how he was dressed, we would see a picture of him.
  12. You don't think they would bother to show a pic of the perp if he was dressed in a pink bunny suit?
  13. So at least you know something about music!
  14. Hate to break it to you...I am no lady! But, happy birthday anyways!
  15. There are, literally, hundreds of thousands of songs that could, legitimately be the worst song ever...but when the phrase "worst song ever" is used, this is normally the first one that comes to mind...it is so, so, so bad...hard to believe that Bernie Taupin and Peter Wolf had a hand in creating that monstrously bad song...
  16. Happy new year!
  17. Ladyboy?
  18. Appropriately shamed...
  19. I have seen it a couple of times in the last hour or so! More fuel for the fire: http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/Yisj3FFmib4/Australian+Junior+Athletics+Championships/arjcq7oXBU8/Michelle+Jenneke
  20. Sounds like Rex Ryan has trimmed down some...I bet he just wanted to be able to see his feet! http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/8181182/new-york-jets-rex-ryan-says-dropped-106-pounds
  21. Probably not many...sure we all remember "AfterMash" ( )...but who remembers "Radar"? And whose idea was it to turn Wayne Rogers as Trapper John into Pernell Roberts (aka Adam Cartwright!) "Trapper John MD"? And to take one of the really great sitcom characters of all time, Lou Grant, and turn him into a completely different character in a drama?
