Has A Candidate Ever Gotten A Bounce From
SD Jarhead replied to molson_golden2002's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Maybe they'll go away like RCow... -
Republicans running stuff? You do realize that BOTH houses of Congress are 'run' by Democrats, right? Why let that get in the way of your ignorant rant? How about sharing with us the long list of accomplishments that the Democrats have mede while they've controlled both houses over the past two years. Better yet, how about sharing with us one of the campaign promises they ran on...

Uh huh...So since you've "always believed" you should do this, why not enlighten us and tell the board about all your volunteer work you do for 'others'. You love to slam Christian values, a large part of which include helping those who can't help themselves. Since you feel so strongly about this let us know about your tireless efforts to help others, douchebag (your characterization of yourself-not mine).

Add adultress to Sarah Palin's resume!
SD Jarhead replied to JK2000's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Monkeys don't discriminate who they throw schit at either...so you're right, the Republicans better watch out. -
Are you competing with Molson for biggest idiot on the board? Why is Sarah Palin a "douchebag"? What has she done to warrant this kind of name calling? Seriously. I don't know the lady personally but from what I know she seems like an honorable person to me. Does running with McCain make her a douchebag? You've got issues...

Another insightful post from Molten...This one's a classic! RI Bills fan, why don't you add this gem to your sig. line?

Actually I thought the Dems did an awesome job after Katrina through their demonstration of steadfast leadership. Governor Kathleen Blanco crying on national television really set an inspiring tone for all of New Orleans to follow. And in fact, that's exactly what they did...they've followed her lead and whined and cried ever since the eeeevil Bushman didn't give them what they deserve. And then he tried to poison the whole population by providing trailers that had formaldehye in them! Bishop Headd-why hasn't he been impeached yet? WTF Over? We all know he hates Blacks...that should be reason enough right?

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Stay safe. Here's looking forward to a positive report once this thing is over...

Is McCain as shallow as George W. Bush?
SD Jarhead replied to PastaJoe's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
After avoiding this gem of a thread for the first fourteen pages, I must make one correction Tom. I never posted that the Messiah was a "closet socialist", I think he is a bonafide socialist. Just clariying... -
McCain's five words that sealed my vote...
SD Jarhead replied to Boatdrinks's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Maybe McCain should've just said "present" when asked that question... -
One reason why I support John McCain.
SD Jarhead replied to buckeyemike's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
How did he ridicule the 'kid'? He injected some humor in his response. Get a grip... -
I was hoping for Bobby Jindal but since he's out of the running, I like Pawlenty as the choice. McCain better be thinking about who he's grooming for the next election because he's a one term President if elected. I will be underwhelmed if it's Tom Ridge. I like Lieberman quite a bit, but he will hand Obama the election if he names Joe.

McCain's five words that sealed my vote...

That's McCain in a nutshell. -
I'm sure Molson will be pleased that you're quoting him. You two belong together.

Excellent article, thanks for posting. The last paragraph says it all and is a reality that we must be prepared for. The true question is, what will the US look like once we've gone through the cycle. History is not kind to Empires at the end of their shelf life. EVERYONE knows that a private citizen would be homeless if they ran their personal finances the way our government runs theirs (ours). When do we begin to pay down our debt? How do we do it? All questions even the brightest and best have no answer for.

LOL, my toes are hanging off and its windy uphere...help! But seriously, ugh, don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Although the silver investment presently looks like a bad one, things could turn fast. And if not, well, at least I'm not losing my house or anything significant. As mentioned very early on, I used equity gained when I sold a truck that was sitting in my driveway for the past year gathering dust. And BTW, D. Drane is not the person I turn to for my economic decision making, but thanks very much for your concern.

The better the Bills play, the less leverage Peters has. Get you azz to camp Jason!

Last nights game was excatly what we were hoping to see. While you can always critique this or that, it was a solid performance. Let's hope this is a preview of the regular season-without the last second drive...

Personally, I've never heard Hagee preach and know nothing about him. I just know when it's time to go, I'm ready!

Adam-you're kidding right? Are you seriously rationalizing that he had this affair because his wife is dying? I also have had immediate family members sick over time with terminal cancer, specifically my step mom who developed leukemia. You know what my Dad did? The right thing. He focused his life on her comfort and treatment for a year and a half until she passed. I have another family member who has pancreatic cancer and is slowly wilting away. His wife is doing the exact same thing. With life being as short as it is why would you run for the highest office in the land when your (supposed) best friend in the world is suffering and dying? He's rich beyond comprehension, so he clearly doesn't need the money. Again, I know I am being very judgemental, but I have felt this guy was a worm since he came on the national scene. Don't ask me why, it was a gut feeling. But he has confirmed what I felt to be true. Please understand that I'm not gloating, I feel true sympathy for his family, that Elisabeth has to go through this in her last days. I'll speak for self here and give you my example. I was assigned to Japan without my family for a year from 05-06. If you've never been there, the Japanese LOVE American's and had I allowed myself to, I could've easily found myself in a compromising situation. I had a 'libo' buddy with me the whole year who never left my side while we were out drinking. He pulled me out of the 'fire' as I did for him when things became sketchy. We both valued our families and wives and believed in honoring our commitments. I'm not sharing this to profess to be holier than thou, but to call BS on you weak azz rationalization. I guess my value system is all screwed up though. I must not be 'new age' enough?
