Well these are strange days indeed that we are living in. I actually agree with most all of what you wrote above. What are the odds? I fully agree that we are blessed beyond belief in this nation, that for some unknown reason those of us fortunate to live in this nation have won the birth lottery. As someone who has traveled to some of the poorest parts of the earth and seen what true poverty looks like (Somalia immediately comes to mind), we really have no right to complain. I pray regularly with my family to give thanks for all we have. Many here on this board find this objectionable for some reason, but that's their problem. At the end of the day though, I do pray that my children do not have to go through times like my Grandparents did during the depression or to a much lesser degree, than I did as a kid growing up in Buffalo in the 70's with parents who lost jobs when Bethlehem Steel closed. Unfortunately, I think we will see times like those in the immediate future. I've consciously tried not to post here too much lately due to my disgust with the overall tone of the season. I am by no means innocent of slinging crap, but even with the disagreements and sometimes disgust I feel reading some of the things here, I wish everyone well, and yes, pray that they and their loved ones survive and thrive through the tough times we are about to experience. FWIW, I wish you peace as well- even if I snipe a few rounds in once in awhile.
