So those of us that like the move can discuss without the many bitching and whining about it posting their crap. The guy was behind the worst OL in football the last two years and had no running game, something Buffalo actually DOES have both of. We add another WR and a TE (plus Chandler coming back) the guy can get the job done. I am sick of the Fitz comparrisons, they just aren't the same guy. This guy was highly sought after 2 years ago for a reason, Fitz... no one come knocking down his door, ever. The guy has a good enough arm, is mobile enough and has played in a very complex offense (Philly). Now are we still drafting a QB? Sure, but I really think this changes things. I think this move was made (Again just opinion) because Whaley and Nix both didn't think that much of the QB class and IF we took one, he would need a year on the bench to develop. I see Patterson as the pick if he is there at #8 then a QB in the 2nd.

No. Kolb is the new starter. We will go WR in round 1, and add weapons to Kolb. IF he fails then we have a team in place for a guy next year, if not then we are good to go. I say we might pick a guy in round 3 or move back into round 2 now

Keep trying, facts are Kolb was in demand 2 years ago for a reason. AZ's OL and Running game sucks, but the Bills are outstanding in both. Oh and your boy Fitz lead them to a win in how many attempts? Kolb is 1-0 I think.

History, they thought so much of him they drafted his replacement and was kicking him out the door. And looking at Brees' stats he had one 'great' rated season with SD and two total crap ones in the 5 years there. Yeah That has to be the worst OL in the NFL And NO Running back. Now before the onslaught starts think about it. The guy could flourish in our system. Drew Brees was an average QB on his way out in San Diego (even before the shoulder) then turned into a world beater in basically the same offense we are installing. Are you telling me Marrone didn't have some impute on the guy before us making him an offer? I am not saying he is the answer, but it is strange to me they make a push for a guy who is a former starter, who will expect to compete or even get the job AFTER looking at all of these QB's in the draft. Then again maybe he is a backup an that is the plan, but don't be shocked if they go with Cordarrelle Patterson at #8 instead of QB now or even trade down a couple spots if they get the chance.

These 100+ mill contracts for QB's are fantasy numbers, they will never see all of it and teams will never be on the hook for it. Its just one upsmanship from team to team. And in the NFL its all about the QB (Too bad our team can't figure that out). 20 mill per isn't but a 6th of the cap these days and its due to go up again starting next year.

Why? Nix said a FA QB AND A Draft pick. If the guy isn't being paid 10 mill per who cares? If the draft pick is the guy he will beat both out and we have decent backups if we need them for a couple games.

So you guys are saying that the one guy we went after sucked? So then the front office still sucks and can't evaluate talent. Again though I say no QB is what kills us.

Nix is a failure for one reason Fitzpatrick. We have not addressed QB. No one wants to !@#$ing play here with no QB. Even rookies know its a QB league and you MUST have a QB and we don't have one.
