With no draft Dallas, Washington and NE would ensure all the top talent played on their teams every year as they can outbid everyone else for the kids right out of school. No draft = the same 5-6 teams competing for the championship every year.

Worried about a franchise caliber player? There are no such things other than QB. That is a term reserved for QB's. That said who in the draft are we going to take at #8 that will get us in the playoffs THIS year? Outside of QB there is no one. There is not one single player outside of a QB that can make that difference in the NFL any longer or Mario Williams would have had us there. We drafted these 'Franchise players' as you call them in Spiller, Dareus and Gillmore. Guess what? Still drafting in the top 10 and still no playoffs. Until we draft a true franchise QB this will not change. Not with Kolb, not with TJack, or anyone else signed off the street unless Bob Kraft goes crazy and cuts Tom Brady. So who is this superstar franchise guy at #8 that is must have in your opinion? In mine there aren't any in this draft. it is not a high end draft, it is a deep draft. On a scale of 1-10 talent wise there are no 10's EVERY prospect seems to have issues. I would say its two rounds deep of 8's and 7's and then 7-5's for another couple rounds. Very deep, but no real top end. Also Nix isn't going to take a QB at #8 that he doesnt feel will be 'the guy' just to placate fans. See Buffalo fans flock to the stadium even if this team sucks and Ralph wilson knows this and has always bet on that with his crappy hires. But Buddy Nix has a huge ego and he will be damned if he is going to say 'here is the guy' and the guy flat out suck. My Guess right now is they accept less than normal and trade down. Buddy wants his picks back. ^^ This right here is a damn good post.

Any word on Dansby? We offer him a contract or what? Nix needs to quit worrying about moneyball and sign this guy. He is an upgrade to this roster that can make an impact for us right away. Trading down, with all the teams wanting to do so, it severely cuts into what we could normally get. Nix will have to dump his 1980's draft value sheet out the window if he wants to move down and collect a couple more picks.

You are terrified of them all because the talking heads told you to be. Before his TEAM had a ****ty season and he hurt his shoulder, Barkley was hands down THE pick for #1 overall going into this season. And media and fans let one off season or an injury change their minds? Geno Smith wasn't anyone till he had that one huge game this last year. Then he crapped the bed esp. in cold weather the rest of the season, but he is some great stud? Landry Jones has two issues, #1 I don't think he cares about Football. He would rather be a preacher and he stayed in school last year and bypassed the draft because his GF/Fiance stayed in school at OU. To me that isn't a guy I want QB'ing my team. Second he reads half the field then craps the bed. He will go play side and if the #1 or #2 WR isn't open he hardly ever goes to the other half of the field. The guy is at best a career backup +1

I had to remember this is some rumor from some guy or I might have slit my wrists right there... There is only ONE player worth #8 other than QB and that is Tavon Austin and I can see people trading ahead of us to get him.

Guarantee we will be in position (top 5 pick) to take one of the top 3 QB's. Won't happen. As much as fans know this team sucks it always screws its self by winning enough games to NOT be in position for a Newton, Luck, RGIII. And about November we will have 3-4 wins and fans will be screaming 'screw the draft, we have to win no matter what blah blah blah' and then come April we won't be in a position to get a Franchise QB. This **** happens almost every year. This team will always find a way to win 5-7 games and not get out of that funk and its not going to happen with Kolb or TJax at QB. It won't happen with a great defense, it happens when you get a franchise QB.

And possibly willing to sacrifice the QB they are after to do so. It could only happen to better people if it were the Cowboys or NE

But because USC had a down year and he got hurt, now he has this weak arm, can't make the throws in Buffalo BS going on from fans. If they say this class sucks then by God it sucks!!! if they say Geno is God then by Geno we have to take him or the franchise is dooomed.
