  1. My prayers for your father and your family!
  2. Who is this Jerry Gary guy that everyone is talking about?
  3. Count me as a Maybe with possible Yes
  4. I would love to drop 9 or so slots in the draft not going to happen tho.
  5. Welcome to the Wall. I don't agree with your view of JP. The kid needs some game experience and a OL to work behind. And if the other players don't like him - fine there isn't anyone on that team that can't be replaced!
  6. I stoped reading after: "In his Monday column Jerry Sullivan said"
  7. Great first post Now answer this Flutie or RJ
  8. The doctors are talking about Kettering. I think they want Mera to get a little bit stronger before they move her. Can you imagine Brain surgery on Monday and possible spinal surgery on Friday
  9. MRI results came in yesterday. The doctors found anouth cancerous tumor at the base of Mera's spine. There are no plans to operate on that tumor at this point However the Doctors are saying positive things. The plan for the time being is to keep Mera in Syracuse Hospital for probably a couple of weeks. She is still on the respirator but is responding. She squeezed her mom's hand when she talked to her. She will have surgery to put a shunt in and then they will be able to take her off respirator. She will get chemo for about 8-9 mos. They will be able to do some of this from home. She will probably be in and out of the hospital. The family is very hopeful that they can get Mera in an international study with a Dr. John Finley from LA Children's Hospital who specializes in this type of cancer. This means they will have all the state of the art available to them. Sounds like they will all have a long road ahead of them. We will see what we can do for them when we find out more about what their specific needs are. To my friends at TBD thanks for the support! Please keep the prayers coming.
  10. As many as it takes. This is very hard for me... My daughter and I played with Mera during Christmas, we sang songs, and we colored and watched Dora the Explorer 15 or 20 times. All things I took for granted... And I would do anything to be able to do them with her next year. If SDS or any of the mods tell me to cool it I will. But this board has been a extended family for a lot of us... We laugh, fight, cry and try to lose weight together. And sometimes some of us need some kind words to get through the day. No hard feelings, but feel free not to read my threads.
  11. As many of you know my family is going through a rough time right now. My wife's cousin's baby (named Mera) has cancer. (see other thread for details because I can't type it again) My wife and her cousin are the same age... and both have baby girls 4 months apart in age. My wife and I look at her cousin and see our selves in so many ways. Mera's mother was talking to my wife about what has happened to her little girl and said the following: "In the last two years, every now and then I would ask myself, 'What whould I do if something happened to Mera... something horrible.' I guess I thought that if I would let myself think about it then it would never happen." Mera's parents are showing great courage and an even greater faith that things will get better.
  12. After a 13 hour surgery the Doctors reported that they were able to remove 80% of the tumor. They said that the tumor looks cancerous and appears to be a type of cancer that usually appears in the colon. They have scheduled another surgery today where they will remove more of the tumor with a laser. The fact that Mera made it through the surgery means a lot. And it appears that she is out of immediate danger. (Thank you for all your prayers… Please keep them coming) The doctors are saying that Mera will be unable to speak for the next 6 months. There is a chance that this might be permanent, so we will be teaching her sign language ASAP. Mera is a fighter, no doubt about that! We are looking at a long road of recovery but we remain hopeful. That’s it for now I really don’t have any more to report. I’ll know more on Monday. Nick
  13. She made it into surgery which started at 6:30 AM ... she should be finished soon The Doctors are saying some very scary things... but I will worry about that later. Keep the prayers coming! Thanks all
  14. One week ago Mera, who will turn 2 next week, complained to her parents that her neck hurt. The took her to the doctor who thought it might have been a muscle pull (she had a bad cough) but being cautious the doctor thought there was a chance of an inner ear infection so he gave her antibiotics. 4 days later Mera was having trouble walking… the doctor ordered a complete series of tests. And they found a tumor near her brainstem the doctors are waiting for a MRI or CT before they operate. If she survives the doctors says there is an 80% chance that she will suffer developmentally. ( I’m having trouble typing this next sentence… But I want everyone to send there prayers) She is not expected to survive the night. My wife and my sister-in-law are there at the hospital. The rest of the family is on the way. I’m home with my 2 year old. I wish I could do more… I’m going upstairs and wake my baby up and give her a hug. Please send all your prayers.
  15. "NINIES" Watch your language Mister! There are children who come to this board!
  16. There is no need to jump on the guy! A lot of boards have D'Brickshaw as the 2nd or 3rd person taken in the draft. If he falls between now and the draft fine, things like that happen... right now D'Brickshaw is the highest rated OT in the draft and he has a valid point. So play nice
  17. The Jets need a lot of of help. I see them trading down and drafting Jay Cutler, QB Vanderbilt somewhere in the middle of the round. Then I see them drafting heavy on the D side of the ball.
  18. I saw a two second highlight this morning on espn. It was a mixed in a 10 second spot for the top ten of the day. I guess it hit the cutting room floor
  19. It will be Haznot should be Mike Sherman
  20. Thats how I see it!
  21. It is very important to have an experienced head coach to lead this team/organization back from the laughing stock it has become. The players need to buy into the HC's system right away! And any assistant that becomes a head coach for the first time will need to earn the players respect first... then the players will buy into the system. That was the problem with Adams and Moulds this year... they never bought the MM system and were prone to fight against change.
