He’s had some big draft hits but clear misses as well. The general theme is that he’s a good GM but has struggled hiring the right HC. Herbert should buy him time but that division is brutal and he needs to make the playoffs.

Interesting note on Joe Marino’s podcast today - he said he was made aware of some information that makes him think that Wyatt would not be picked by Bills, and that he would not be surprised to see him completely fall out of the 1st round. Did not say what it was.

I wouldn’t call him a “good tackler” at this point of his development but I don’t see that being a reason he doesn’t go in the top 25. He’s a former WR, he has massive promise.

I’m not strongly for or against this. But I will say that the fan and media hand wringing about drafting Breece hall has a very similar vibe to the Josh Allen draft. There is much polarization and consternation and “mental preparation that this might actually happen” and Beane’s career hangs in the balance on this, etc Like, if drafting a RB in the 1st round works out for the Bills here, they will have “outsmarted basically all regular humans and the entirety of math itself” In reality, no 2022 draft pick is going to determine the Bills fate this year. SB contenders don’t depend on rookies to move the needle. It is one place to add talent but there will be vet adds after this and the team is mostly set as it is. Just enjoy the draft, it’s not just for this year it is for the next 4 and beyond.

I have a feeling if either are there at 20 they start to trade up and see what they can do. May already have a trade in place if their guy is there. McDermott’s presser made it sound like he wants Beane to go get someone. I doubt it would be for an RB. But if they stay at 25 or trade down it could be rB with or WR. I think that’s probably a false narrative being pushed

Tre isn’t a good tackler. His missed tackle % in college was higher than Elam’s elam’s profile is 100% McDermott and he fits a press zone scheme. He’s not consistent wrapping up in his tackling but he is very good in run support and tackles with urgency. I don’t think mcd is afraid of having to develop a corner with this amount of upside And this type of film Alas I don’t think he’s there at 25
