That’s actually not true. It has be performance/ability related to be cut (remember the whole vaccine thing last year?). At this point it would be tough to prove that he’s being cut for those reasons after cutting Haack already. Sure they could cut him if he did something off the field. But as it stands right now The nflpa and his agent would fight it since he’s only been accused in a civil lawsuit at this point. I don’t believe he can go on the exempt list per the CBA as that’s related to the personal conduct policy and this occurred in college.

It is true. CBA was updated in 2020

They didn’t know prior to drafting him. They found out on 7/30 that a civil lawsuit was coming and what it was about. They’ve been kept up to speed by araizas attorney. But the lawsuit was just filed yesterday so not sure how much of the details they knew already through the attorney before yesterday.

Current thought process- - the bills didn’t know at time of draft - they learned of the pending civil lawsuit 7/30 - they cut Haack this week because per McDermott it was “time to go down to one punter” but said araiza still needed to earn the spot - they knew they didn’t want Haack regardless - they believe he’s innocent based on the info they have but also reserve the right to cut him as more comes out and will sign someone else if needed. But they knew for sure they didn’t want Haack

If there is anything I am sure of, it’s that the Bills just found out about this within the last day or 2. Beane and McD aren’t going to burn down what they’ve built on a freaking punter. And they literally just had him in front if the media next to Josh 2 days ago. McD was just joking around about him this week on pardon my take. That’s completely opposite of everything else we’ve seen from them for 6 years if they knew anything about this. whether they or someone else who reports to them ***** up and they SHOULD have known at some point earlier is another story.
