One thing that the bucks struggled with in the rose bowl was defense on 3rd down. Pretty terrible. Hopefully that’s a focus this week.

I agree that the chiefs would not be the dynasty they are without him. That’s very hard to argue. What I was saying is I don’t know if the Bills are a similar dynasty or even have a SB win at this point had they taken mahomes bc that’s a whole different coaching staff, roster, schedule, etc etc around him. I believe allen was the perfect qb pick for Buffalo and I will say that to my grave regardless of SB victories. We all know HE did enough to beat the chiefs in the 2022 playoffs/ 13 second game and multiple other games they lost but bc of other reasons coaching or defense related. But I agree with YOUR point just saying others have made the latter and I can’t get there.

I thought I read that woody wanted Rodgers back, but either way, they are team without a Qb (with no great options in the draft or FA) and have brutal ownership. No top HC will choose the jets if they have other options.

He’s usually good for one bone headed play a game, I think bc they’ve gotten out to these big leads he hasn’t felt the pressure that has led to some of his picks etc. but I would say the same for Ewers, he likes to give it up

Yeah it was stupid to keep him but I also think McDermott is too much of a control freak to not have a proper amount of time to pick his QB. I get that too. Than again I personally don’t think that picking mahomes would have definitely made the Bills any more successful over the last 8 years. It’s possible but not guaranteed given all the variables.

The Bills had a GM when McDermott was hired. Whaley wasn’t canned until after the draft. Beane was hired like 5 months after McDermott. Of course I’m sure McDermott took one look at Whaley and told pegula no way and handed him Beane’s #.

They have had an edge for sure but tbh I think the Michigan loss was way more on the coaches and the game plan than anything with the players. Coaches Not playing to their strengths, obsessed with trying to prove they were tough and running into the strength of the Michigan DL ; not letting their absurd WR talent win for them. As long as they keep doing what they are doing, they will beat anyone. It also took awhile for the OL to gel again after losing two all Americans to injury. I think the edge we are seeing now too is from these seniors who are now playing with a tremendous opportunity in front of them. The buckeyes as an underdog are very scary, as a favorite not as much but they were favored bc Oregon and still came out like that. Will they beat Texas by 20 probably not, will they find a way to win, I could see it.

He would never be able to work under woody or coach rodgers. I think he’s interviewing there so his agent can float these reports and get him interviewed quickly next week by a team he actually wants. This is the worst job out there and everyone knows it. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up with the Raiders.

I remember you posting about this. I am sure every day is tough and today is a little tougher as the anniversary of the tragedy. I can’t imagine the journey you’ve had but I warn my kids all the time about the dangers, and this is one reason why because I saw your personal experience.
