  1. The Bills would have "strongly considered" any of the QB's left, regardless. They were going to draft a QB no matter what.
  2. I think this kid, who is the kid of a former NFL WR (who was once a young kid too), has real potential. It's not often that a kid like this fall into the lap of a team like the Bills. This team is full of kids, good kids, who someday won't be kids anymore, but real NFL players. I like this kid.
  3. I just went 2 days ago (Carson Blvd. Long Beach Center), and there was no line. They are good, but really, it's just a burger, man. And again, when one of the first things out of a visitor's mouth is "let's go to In-N-Out, we want to try it" something is off. It's not that special, and there is something else driving that ambition.
  4. I think this stuff is mostly driven by social media. These places are well known enough that people can post the photos, and their friends can relate to it. If they just went to Joe's Burgers, and had a great burger, no one could swoon over the pic. I find that kind of behavior rather sad.
  5. It's good. They are a good company. But it's not "we HAVE to go to In-N-Out when we get to LA"-good. It's just not that special. There are burger joints every 4th block (not chains), that are just as good or better. It's called "falling for the hype" and "let's impress our friends back home". And the long line just makes it MORE silly. PINKS hot dogs has a massive line too, and it's good, but not any better than something you can get in your own hometown. It's a half hour wait (or more) for a good hot dog...."Yay!"
  6. If he has the skills of Cam Newton, but the personality and intelligence of even a run-of-the-mill NFL QB, he should be pretty !@#$ing good. I know this is a side-track, but as a Buffalonian in LA, I can't grasp why people that visit me all rush to In-N-Out Burger, its just another decent burger joint in the area. The Anchor Bar is kinda the same thing. A photo op for your social media page. I think playing that game should be discouraged.
  7. I don't think they have the same personality at all though. And that's a pretty big factor.
  8. Well I guess you agree with Schopp. I think the current regime is doing a good job, it's not really fair to judge them after one season (they broke the streak), when they had Tyrod for a QB. I don't think they would have brought in a guy like Josh Allen if they didn't intend to be more aggressive in the passing game. I actually like much of what Schopp says in general, and understand some of his tirades against the callers. I hate the trivia. It's not entertaining, yet he looooves to do it, which just makes it worse. It's like he is indulging himself to annoy his listeners. But I also think that it's easy for some guy that is more interested in tennis than football to just throw out criticisms like "they need to be more modern". Being critical of the Bills has been like shooting at a very big barn for the last 20 years.
  9. Well I'm sure your a great guy, with very high standards. Snarky !@$hole The real point is to show that Roethlisberger was playing against defenses that weren't very sophisticated, and inferior athletes. But anyway, why don't you show me who Josh Allen DOES compare to? Who is this crap failure that Josh Allen is sure to follow as a bust? Coming back to this thread in a few years will be very interesting.
  10. This might sound odd, but I could see a new dynamic era in Bills history ending Schopp and Bulldog, and many of these WGR guy's shows. These guys are all associated with the losing streak Bills. Those are the Bills that these guys have kinda of built their shows around. Schopp doesn't even like NFL football! A great up and coming team wouldn't really suit his pissed off, ugly diatribes (no need to mention those awful, self-indulgent trivia bits he and the Dog do). I haven't heard the show for years (I live in LA) or even read this thread, but I'm going to guess that Schopp wanted Rosen, and alludes to Bills fans being too set in their ways and stupid, to accept the outspoken, intelligent, and Jewish, Rosen? (am I right?) I think the WGR crew should be scared. Frightened that a really new exciting era will make them passe'. Cuz it will (and maybe they know it?).
  11. This is all I could find, but it's Ben Roethlisberger's college highlights. Some one tell me with a straight face that Josh Allen doesn't appear way more impressive. Some of this looks like "Big" Ben was playing at Buff State. If this were Allen's reel, people would be out of their minds right now.
  12. Yeah, I think that comparison would be quickly dismantled.
  13. Maybe I have missed it, but who do the Allen-Haters compare him to? Who is the failed QB that Allen fits the mold of? Then we can tear into that comparison...
  14. This is funny... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2772969-josh-allens-tweets-about-aj-mccarrons-wife-katherine-webb-surface-during-draft I don't think it's a big deal, but I can see the media trying to make it into one. These guys have both surely been with more than there share of hot women.
  15. He has to fill a column, and "have a take", that's his job. Every once in a while, the Bills are team he choses to feature.
  16. Let the Golden Age begin.....
  17. Reasonable. I think Peterman gets waaaay too much love on this board. He's just a guy.
  18. What past QB do you feel was "ruined" in this way? EJ Manuel (Sucked) Trent Edwards? (Sucked) JP Lossman? (Sucked) Todd Collins? (Sucked) Where is this QB that was destined for stardom, that the Bills somehow mismanaged? All those guys were flawed, and they lived up to their scouting reports. EJM was considered a reach by virtually anyone who analyzes the draft. The whole world asked "why did the BIlls draft this guy so high?" Trent Edwards was a 3rd round guy, who happened to have Bill Walsh praise him. Turned out he played like a 3rd rounder. JP was the consolation prize that fell to the Bills because they got !@#$ed by the Steelers. Todd Collins was just a guy. I think they just never had much to work with. Now they do.
  19. I think a lot depends on how McCarron plays.
  20. I see 9-7, and on the edge of the playoffs. Basically, a season like last season.
  21. I do. I'm hoping he performs well enough to trade him for an outrageous return. I think the Bills are going to be pretty good this season. The defense will be better, and the offense more consistent.
  22. Kirk Cousins looks like he is trying very hard to emulate Jon Gruden in this. I had never seen an interview with him. He's pretty annoying. I'm glad the Bills didn't chase him. Really? They both are awful. I can't decide which is worse.
  23. This thread is going to be very interesting to dig up from the archives in a few years.
