The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
Prickly Pete replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think the USofA needs an influx of Persian Women. Surely this will be supported by the American feminist movement, no? The dudes can stay in Iran and rebuild their nation, while the women are allowed to stay here in the US. -
I guess it needs to be noted that the OP wants to know your "favorite"....not necessarily "the best".

I just checked on Wiki, but it's not clear, is Travis Henry still in jail?

Wow, you must have been really young.

Yeah, it was the Super Bowl, so the announcers are looking for anything to latch on to. "Boy, I don't know if Thurman Thomas has his head in the game"...!@#$ing nonsense. The Redskins were a big 7-point favorite going in to the game. They were the dominant team in the NFL that year. I can't believe that is still hung on to Thomas by Bills fans. I could see casual fans, or Patriot fans making fun of it, but it was just a mix up. Thurman did other things that I didn't like, but I never questioned his heart, and dedication to winning.

"The helmet incident"....the single most overblown story in Bills history. Someone moved his helmet. The Super Bowl is all drawn out pre-game nonsense, so some overzealous sideline assistant decided to straighten up the helmets or something, and Thomas is somehow found to be guilty of not having his mind on the game? POPPYCOCK.

Greg Bell? Rob Riddick? Curtis Brown? Roland Hooks? Jim Braxton? Ron Harmon? Terry Miller? Mine is Thurman followed by Fred Jackson, followed by McCoy, followed by Cribbs, followed by Terry Miller.

This is big in my house. The problem with "under" is that it's more prone to unfurling out of control if you just use one hand. -

They pissed Trump off. That we can watch this (and other) footage is incredible. It's like a James Bond movie or something. For later generations to be able to watch these interactions is incredible. We don't know what other machinations were in motion against Trump. He may have believed they were trying to destroy him, and felt he was cornered. If Trump was indeed approached by MI to run, I would love to know when. Before this? Well after? Regardless, now he is gonna go "balls deep". -

And this "reported allegations that Bronfman, who has been described as NXIVM's operations director, paid a Canadian private investigative firm to examine the banking records of U.S. federal judges and others, including journalists." And this too... "Each and every time someone says, 'Look at NXIVM,' they become the brunt of the investigation. It's happened to me four or five times," Foley said, referring in part to a computer-trespass charge filed against her and three others by State Police in 2012 based on allegations from NXIVM. The charges were later dismissed against Foley, O'Hara and Bouchey. -

I think that because Cosby is black, it would look bad if they condemned him without condemning Polanski. -
Gregg Rosenthal: AFC East Projected Starters
Prickly Pete replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Bills have good coaching, and expect the team to have an "up and coming" attitude, which means guys playing to win, instead of just picking up paychecks. That's a pretty big difference (if it happens). No one here really has any idea whether or not Josh Allen will be ready to start this season. We will all have to wait until training camp to get any real feel for Allen. -

True. But then during the lean times (which is really just about the entire history of the team), the only reason many people turned up was to "socialize". I suspect that if there is a hard clampdown, ticket sales will suffer. Yes, I know some will jump in and say "no, more families will go"...but it's a fine balance. -

It is a great pic. The whole pic is even a bit cooler, but it wouldn't fit. -
Very glad this guys is not our problem. Yeah, but people here think it was this volleyball coach encounter that changed the Browns mind. Or they think, "I watched the Cowherd interview, so impressive. NFL people are stoopit." We shall see....

I didn't say that. In fact, I said it doesn't matter what you think.

"It's all hearsay" "If he is good, who cares?" "There are lots of jerks in the league" None of you would have to work with him.

Rumour: Rosen and Mayfield were off the Bills' Board
Prickly Pete replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, but as someone else noted, Jim Mora is a pretty big jerk. I brought this up long ago, Petros and Money in LA have mentioned big name LA players in the past as being difficult, or bad guys, or spoiled jerks, like Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart, and have been proven accurate or "informed". Even guys on their staff stepped up to the mic to make their feelings about Rosen known. Like, people were angry. These discussions were popping up every now and then, building up during draft week (before and after). They consider him talented, and discussed it pretty in depth, playing "devil's advocate" and trying to discuss Rosen's positives, but it always came back to "over and over, we just get "the look" from all these different people". And hat he seems to be an injury risk. And the idea that leadership positions, injuries, and a difficult, individualistic personality don't usually blend well.
