There is a lot of room for manipulation of the stats we are seeing.

Another question...how many were actually "separated from their parents", and how many were "unaccompanied children"? According to this 2014 Mother Jones article, lots of kids show up without any adults at all...like 68,000 in that year alone. I don't know if some, most, none, or even all of the kids that are there for 49 days are actually torn away from their parents. Many might be kids that their parents don't want to pick up.

I still think the kids should be given back to the Mexican authorities right away, and let them handle it.

Yeah, a few guys are apprehended with a group of children, sneaking across an international border, and the immigration officers are supposed to take their word!

You keep throwing around "months"...I wonder what the true average time is. And the age of the kids there for months. And of the kids there for months, the status of the people they were apprehended with. These things matter.

The "people responsible for this" are the people that brought them to the border. "No books, no toys"...I see what appears to be a video gaming system on in the background, and who really knows what's out of the picture? I bet they are eating well. They are kept in a secure area out of necessity. I guess it's a "cage" because it's made of fencing (but not like the small kennels of the Obama Administration days). No doubt this is the photo that looks the worst of any an anti-Trump "journalist" was able to hunt down. They will all be okay. Really. It looks like the system is overwhelmed, and when they finally get some control of the border, they will likely be able to provide better accommodations consistently. Or maybe you want them to build hotels? After the parents, the real responsibility for these people is the Mexican Government! These are, by and large, Mexican citizens. What should be happening, is that they should be housed in Mexico, where they can be kept until their family can pick them up. Really, it's not even far away....it's like, a stone's throw. It isn't beyond the pale to suggest Trump would be willing to propose funds for the building of "Emergency Housing for the Stranded Children of Irresponsible Mexican Migrants" in Mexico, as part of The Wall agreement! (Guess what, I bet the kids would prefer the living conditions in the good ole USA for that duration) Tell me where I'm wrong....

I don't know what aspect Alaska Darin "beat me" to, but it's not a competition. I think that the pic and similar name have a greater subconscious effect on fellow poster's perception of another poster than maybe people are aware of. I don't actually have a big problem with DC Tom (I like most of his posts, and judging by his posts, I think he can take it), it was just something I realized with "3rdnlng" and "row_33" names and pics confusing me over time. As one of them noted, "just judge by the content of the posts", what's so hard about that?

Whatever the Daily Stormer has to say, it isn't Trump, or Stewart. Stewart not wanting to tear down Confederate statues isn't the same as being a neo Nazi. Bringing up other candidates that Stewart has since distanced himself from, is just an excuse to bring the bad guy into the article. Roy Moore has nothing to do with Stewart, and the sexual accusations have nothing to do with white supremacy. The Hill article is just trying to associate the two. Propaganda. The wording of the Hill article is like a tabloid. I didn't even bother with the WaPo Opinion piece, because WaPo is ridiculous. If Stewart is indeed a creep, he won't be supported. The Right could dream up this kind of yellow journalism all day long about Left-wing candidates, too. Get a grip.
