  1. If Allen wasn't here I wouldn't mind giving Peterman some benefit of the doubt. But under the current circumstances, reading people gush over Peterman when the odds are high that he is a journeyman at best, is ridiculous. So write off the LA game because of the bad circumstances, but hold up a game in a blizzard as a true measure. The Indy game was about the slowest track a game can be played on, so his weak arm wasn't as much of a problem. It was a game played under extreme conditions, an aberration. And it wasn't like he was slinging the !@#$ing ball all over the field. It was a 13 point game (with overtime even)! Get a grip. With Allen here, Peterman talk is a waste of space. It's just looks like left over defensiveness from people that praised him last preseason, but had to eat crow after he **** all over the field in his first half. It reminds me of the guys that claim Trentative was good, but got derailed by the concussion (nope, he blew). I bet there is lots of crossover between those groups here. Same kind of fans. Peterman is just in the way. I guess if it makes his fans feel better to gush about his potential as a steady backup...well, knock yerself out if that's the kind of thing that keeps you excited about Bills football.
  2. Takeo is like a forgotten Bill. He was such fun to watch, and one of my favorite all time players.
  3. It's fine, except when it sways your opinion on who the starting QB should be. But I think Peterman blows. Good day.
  4. They go to the same church.
  5. I love his sacking style. The quick burst at the end, with a hop so his full weight comes down hard, and a swat from his hand on the QB's throwing arm. Beautiful.
  6. The Trump train will roll through this like hot chainsaw through butter.
  7. I just noticed this thread. I have no interest in Urban Meyer or Ohio State football. Why is Urban Meyer in any way responsible for how this guy treated his wife?
  8. You, right now....
  9. This is the perfect chance for Allen to throw 5 interceptions in a half, and gain that "advantage".
  10. Wow, didn't see that coming ?
  11. It's not inconceivable, just ill-advised, and a waste of precious time.
  12. The Bills have Josh Allen. That is who they need to start designing their offense around, NOW. Not Peterman the "mudder", whose game is best suited to a slow track or snow blizzards.
  13. What happened to this message board? It's like passing by the kids table on Thanksgiving, overhearing them debate Pokémon.
  14. Thank you, I'm a reasonable poster... He ain't even as good as Thaddeus Lewis. Or Matt Cassel. Or Kevin Kolb. Or JP Losman. Or dozens of other guys who have backed up in the NFL. Outside of Buffalo, no one gives one whit. He is Just A Guy.
  15. Thanks for the update. I didn't say it would be their intent, I'm saying Peterman would **** the bed so bad, they wouldn't have much of a choice. But they are (hopefully) smart enough to just start Allen.
  16. BuhBuhBuh bbb...but wait! What about that great advantage that Peterman developed by throwing 5 interceptions in a half? How is Allen going to make any kind of career without that kind of advantage? I'm really hoping Allen throws 7 interceptions in his first half, then we'll know he's on his way, and can say "this guy is ready!"
  17. That's not what McBeane is gonna do though, it's what some fools here THINK they will or should do. They are fans, that read somenonsense about how to develop QB's and post some kind of plan that they think the team should follow. Each QB is different. This isn't JP Lossman, it's a guy with amazing talent, that is getting good quickly, and a 2nd year guy who (for some reason) some fans have projected their dreams onto (but he is actually just in the way at this point). At worst, Peterman might start a couple games, but I think he will struggle and it will be obvious that it's time for Allen.
  18. Sadly, I know exactly what you said. Sadly, you think that throwing 5 interceptions in a half, but then beating a crap team in a snow blizzard game, and having reasonable success in a couple preseason games (wasn't he decent in his rookie preseason, the one before he threw 5 in the real season?) is somehow solid enough proof to assume he has "overcome" the adversity. And that those interceptions were the building blocks for his current "success', and some kind of "advantage". Laughable.
  19. Yeah, just waste the season. Just tell a bunch of players to sacrifice their bodies (in at least one case a player likely playing his final season), stay focused, and devote themselves to winning, while a Grade A prospect that has been playing really well, keeps improving weekly, and gives a noticeable boost to the whole team whenever he steps on the field, just stands waiting on the sidelines. Then when the season is dusted, THEN you send him in, and tell the players to "trust the process".
  20. Peterman is nowhere close even to Fitz. He will dream of having a career like Fitz. Classic! Maybe this season he can go for 6 in a half, and REALLY gain experience! Talk about seeing the sunny side of life.
  21. What is this Frank Reich comparison based on? That they are both QB's destined to play behind someone else? Frank Reich led what was until recently, the greatest comeback of all time. Given Reich's role in Bills history, it's insulting to even mention Peterman in the same breath, let alone act like he is somehow following in Reich's footsteps. Utter nonsense. Get a grip.
