McDermott will lose this team fast if Allen doesn't start in the next few games. I don't want him thrown to the wolves. He should get a full week of first team reps. McCarron is better than Peterman, and a better mentor if you want a veteran to show Allen the ropes.

The 3rd down sideline pass is going to be the signature play for Peterman. It's the worst play ever. Probably be the end of 90% of Peterman's "drives".

He is good enough to be on a roster, but "unathletic". He moves like a dork. I won't miss him, or hearing again that he is so and so's relation.

This is the go-to drive killer play for crappy QBs.

I don't hate the guy. I think for some fans, they identify with the whole underdog persona he has. Allen has suitable enough underdog mojo in his story for me. I don't need a guy to be a former grocery store bagger to cheer for him.

Or...he is just another in a long line of not quite good enough to make it/barely good enough to make a roster-guys, that have passed through the training camps of the NFL for decades. It's nice that he works hard, says all the right things etc...yay.

He blows. He's the kind of guy that wins the job by posting himself next to the new OC's office to help him move in, and making sure to leave the practice field last so the coach says "wow, this guy is just so dedicated!"

Without a doubt, when Allen takes over we are going to have to sift through countless posts from this guy explaining how Peterman didn't get a fair shot, or it was the o-line, or the OC, or some injury derailed a promising career. With this kind of commitment, I could see him holding on for years. I'm blocking him now, just to save me the trouble of reading more nonsense.

There are guys that get written off without ever playing in a regular season game. Everybody doesn't deserve more chances, and I feel fine writing him off. He hasn't been compelling in my opinion. There are only 3 QB's n the team, so we have to make do with what's here, but I'm just not any more excited about him than I would be if Paxton Lynch, or Drew Stanton, or Chad Henne, or some other faceless backup were suddenly signed by the Bills (in fact, even less so). Rosters throughout the league have guys just as compelling, that will NEVER start. They are called JAG's.

I don't know about "revolt", but I doubt it would help ticket sales.
