Calling It: I Guarantee A Win At Minnesota Sunday
Prickly Pete replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have never thought there was a game that the Bills had no chance to win. I would not be shocked if they won. It's hard to guage how fast Allen might progress, and this defense has shown that they feed off Allen's play a little bit. When he starts to show enough for them to buy in, this team will be much a different. I just don't know how long it will take take for Allen to get there. -
we got the wrong coach, go get jim harbaugh

Is there such a thing as a "delete thread" button, that allows you to take a thread off your feed? Just so I don't have to repeatedly scroll through them... -
It's really a back handed compliment, cuz I was hoping for more, and at this point he looks like the #1 for this team. I'm looking at the replays, considering his drops, considering the QB play, some nice catches, the All22....he looks like a young wr that would be a nice 3 on an average team.

Zay looks like he will be a decent 3rd receiver.

Did Vontae Davis retire at halftime? Yes, yes he did!

Looks like the first thing Vontae did was update his Wiki page https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vontae_Davis -

Calm down. That's not what I was referring to. -

Yes. And I would never criticize a player for doing what is best for himself. -

He probably wants to play for the Patriots -
I don't get why people are assuming the Bills will be at the bottom of the league without having seen them play with Allen as the starter.

Inspiration for Allen: Jim Kelly’s First Game
Prickly Pete replied to Jukester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wait....what?! You're thinking Allen might be less ready than Peterman? And that it's all cool, because Peterman is a big enough man to swallow his pride, and temporarily take the reins until Josh gets his game together. WTF?!!!!! Are you posting from an insane asylum? This is it! The all time most absurd post in the history of this board. -

Not that I think it's necessary for him to get maimed, but Allen will gain a lot of respect both from his teammates, and players around the league, when he runs the gauntlet this season. That can't be bought. And it will allow him to expect and demand more from his teammates. -
McBeane gave Peterman his shot....

He glad-handed his way into the lineup. Such a sweet boy. -

The thing is, if they just cut him, it would make the coach look bad to the players, and incompetent. The team has been watching McD buddy around with NP, talk him up, give him respect, present him as a leader, etc...to just cut him would undermine McD's authority with the players, as well as point out the staff's glaring misjudgement. They can't just suddenly act like he has no business being on an NFL roster. They will sign a journeyman, and talk about it not being a reflection of Petermans play, but that they are always looking for ways to improve this football team, and this opportunity to sign (fill in the blank) was just to good to pass up. -

He was so bad, that the coach has to keep him for awhile just to save face. -
Official TNF Thread: Bungles vs Ravens
Prickly Pete replied to Jauronimo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe, but it was way worse with Peterman, so no overstating is needed. If it was crippled with Tyrod, how would you describe it with Peterman? As far as this game is concerned, I don't think it's fair to compare the Bills offensive effort to this Bengals game. Allen didn't even get a starters preparation for the Ravens game. I think judgement a should be reserved until we've seen Allen with a few games under his belt as a starter. -
Reason for some optimism. Receivers open.
Prickly Pete replied to billsintaiwan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A complete training camp with the ones would have helped. The more you run the plays the better feel you get for how they develop. Allen didnt even have a week of preparation going into the game. -

Hahahahahhahahahajaha!!!! Everyone knew but some of the clowns on this board. I tried. I tried to slap some sense into them, but they hid behind Frank Reich. He blows. -
The Silver Lining : Josh Allen is very good.

I think Allen looks ready to play. The guys that aren't polished enough, are the olinemen and WRs!
