  1. I don't know about that. Not much separation goes on in the Red Zone, not enough room. But jump-ball and high-point ability certainly mean more than squat in that area. Why some guys with those abilities succeed while others don't is a fair question, but I'm not sure James Hardy for instance, would have had a CFL career nearly as successful as Williams. I don't really expect much from Williams, but it will be great if he can contribute.
  2. I think Parcells is a bigger douche than Belichick. At least Belichick is silent. Parcells went around telling everyone how great he is, and acting like no one else knew anything. Belichick is definitely a better coach than Parcells, too.
  3. I noted before the conference championship game that, if you watched the miked up footage of Goff, his presence is, well....wimpy. He is a rich kid nerd
  4. I don't play fantasy football, but I think it is mostly made up of actual football fans, and it makes people more interested in watching games that don't involve their own team. I think it also adds to peoples knowledge of the game, because they become more involved in comparing and evaluating players/teams/ strategies. I would prefer an entire halftime devoted to fantasy football, to the completely unrelated spectacle that interrupts the championship game every year.
  5. I'm not expecting them to draft a QB (at least with a high pick), but I wonder if they will concentrate on building an offense geared towards running the ball, maybe even drafting a RB high. I know Michel was good, but I don't consider him "elite".
  6. I'm curious to see what the Patriots do in the draft.
  7. It's past your bedtime.
  8. Nonsense. The league would be less profitable, but wouldn't die out. If the NFL were only as big as the NHL I would be perfectly happy. Why should I care how much money the league makes?
  9. GOOD! GREAT! I ***** LOVE IT! Now maybe those "casual" fans will go away, and they can get rid of the halftime travesty that has nothing to do with football. Catering to those people is what really detracts from the Super Bowl. And of course, someone will chime in to say "That's what makes them money!".... I don't care how much money the NFL makes. I care about watching football games that I enjoy, and not having the championship game turned into a lame display that caters to people that don't really care about the game.
  10. I thought it was a nice change from the blowouts. It surely had plenty of tension...
  11. WAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
  12. The Rams got beat. The Pats controlled the game. Stop Whining, it's not going to change anything.
  13. Jared Goff is a weenie.
  14. Ha, yeah I had season tickets. This isn't worth my time...carry on.
  15. "Great"? You're dreaming
  16. Collinsworth...I have brought this up whenever his name is mentioned here. I will never forgive him for trying to undermine Bruce Smith's reputation. He told the TV audience during the Pittsburgh playoff loss, that Smith should have been playing, because being sick with the flu wasn't a good enough excuse. Bruce Smith isn't above criticism, but to question his commitment was a real low blow. As a former player, you don't do that. There is no way Smith would have missed the game if he wasn't in bad shape. He was hospitalized, and he was really pissed about it. I believe Collinsworth had a personal problem with Smith, and wanted to make him look bad. ***** that guy forever.
  17. Why not use "Alex" Smith in the headline? This kind of thing feels like a trick to get more people _---------------------------Thanks for the edit!
  18. Better question.... "Is Frank Reich the most overrated Bill's player of all-time?"
  19. It's not the only thing that makes Romo a successful commentator. It might take awhile for another analyst to adopt the style, but there will be others soon enough. I'm sure ex-coaches and QB's can look at the formations of the Offense and the defenders and have a pretty good idea what's coming.
  20. I think there are lots of ex-QB's and coaches that could predict the plays at a similar %. They just either haven't been given a platform to do it, or didn't make it part of their commentary approach (Phil Simms used to do it a little bit, and was pretty accurate). I don't think Romo was that exceptional, either as a QB, or as a talent. I think he had one of the highest profile occupations (QB for the Dallas Cowboys) so he gets more attention, and ball-washing. He is excellent as a commentator though.
  21. The Ryan's are in the past. I don't even think about them.
  22. She is so hott! This one rules.
