  1. I answer my phone EVERY TIME it rings, because I don't want to closed off from society, and everyone has something to offer that's IM-POR-TANT! I wouldn't want to miss a great opportunity just because I blocked a telemarketer.
  2. I guess if I don't want to sift through the opinions of every Bills fan on the board concerning everything from politics to social issues to football, I must be sticking my head in the sand, and plugging my ears, closed off from society... It's not about people necessarily "getting under my skin", it's for a variety of reasons, some of which I mentioned. Yes, you have made the list.
  3. Yeah, it's mostly a PPP thing. I just got tired of rereading the same arguments from multiple people, and really not anything I hadn't already read elsewhere. Some posters get fixated on an argument, and it just wears me down. I don't feel it limits my exposure to counter-arguments at all, and it's not about whether or not I disagree with them. As far as the football side....some people consistently have pedestrian posts about matters I have no interest in, or don't really seem very knowledgable. There was a glut of new posters when some other Bills board went down, and that's when I made the decision to thin the herd, instead of wading through crap posts. I would be very disappointed if I'm not on some "Ignore" lists!
  4. I have been suspended for all kinds of silly posts....and even had a mod or 2 message me an insult, but I'm okay with it. The mods have a thankless job. As soon as I see someone post a few disingenuous posts, they are sent to "ignore". It's easy. I even had "B-Man" on ignore for awhile because his posts would have such wide spacing that the scrolling would just be ridiculous (and then someone would quote the whole post, and take up the whole page). I really think there is no problem with any of this, because we all have the tools here to shape the message board to suit us, and it's easy to do.
  5. It's easy to thin the herd, though. It's not a big deal to have annoying posters, and worth it to have the freedom to post whatever you want...because it's all at your fingertips to shape the board however you like. Why would you want to give that up?
  6. I do have you on ignore....I like your football posts, and often peek at them, but have no interest in the PPP bickering. I do think you are a good dude, though.
  7. I want it to be a place where people can say whatever they want, and if you decide you don't like interacting with a particular poster, you can set them on "Ignore". My ignore list is lengthy (I just counted, 56 posters), and I put people on it for a variety of reasons. Perhaps I think they are abusive, or I think they have idiotic posts, or just don't add anything...all these are fine, I just set them on ignore. No problemo!
  8. It's true. Anybody that wants him fired is a fool.
  9. Didn't the Cowboys hire a minder/babysitter to watch over Bryant and keep him out of trouble? I don't care if he has grown up (or not), I don't want a guy that needed that at ANY point in his career. He's an idiot.
  10. C'mon...barring injury, Gore will have plenty of chances to get 85 more yards this season. It's not like they will never give him the ball again. Based on what?
  11. So? Are you saying a team like the Canadiens gives a ***** about the Blues streak?
  12. I think Brady has already trounced so many records, that the Bills 4 straight means so little (all losses) next to his accomplishments he couldn't care less. Only a Bills fan would even think of it.
  13. So you want them to move on from Allen? There it is.....it's like politics, no one wants to admit they were wrong, especially with their predictions easily accessed on the internet.
  14. "Thinks of us"? Fans are taking all of this too personally. The Bills were under the radar this off season, so the media is going through an adjustment period (as are some fans, apparently)
  15. Considering the offensive talent, they are doing pretty well, and getting the most out of (at best) second tier weapons, and a second year, small school QB. Can't wait til they find a real top notch receiving threat.... hopefully next year.
  16. Most of the media beat up on the Bills in the off-season...Some of this is they don't want to admit they were wrong, and missed the fact that the Bills have gotten better. They wanted to talk about the Jets, and Browns being on the rise instead.
  17. They are right on track, as far as I'm concerned...I had them going 11-5.
  18. I have to take issue with the "they are what they are" part. I have some hope at least, that working Devin Singletary into a bigger role could be a big boost to the offense. I could be wrong, of course. But having a dynamic player like him (he is basically the only weapon in Allen's arsenal that is at all exceptional) can transform an offense, and make everyone around him look a little better. I think the offense is still developing, not "this is what they are".
  19. More of this!! (it will never not be funny)
  20. Who here has claimed that they ARE a finished product? And what would you expect just about ANY team's players to say..."yeah, we're all good. We got a cherry on top"?
  21. Sanu would have been a great pickup for the Bills. They need a big guy like that, their WR are too small.
  22. They are being worn by jerks.
