  1. The Cowboys were always overrated. The Bills beating them wasn't that big of a deal. The impressive parts about the Bills win were that they were on a big stage and played well, and that they controlled the game on both offense and defense. Dallas is nothing special. The Ravens game is way more of a challenge.
  2. How can it be taken as offensive? Does it refer to slavery? Does it imply some kind of inferiority? Where is the offense?
  3. What about it "isn't a good look"...what does that mean? How might it be taken? There was nothing derogatory about it. But "this" is NONSENSE. It's surely some corporate pearl clutching, and something no rational person would give a crap about, black or white. Part of "getting past racism" is getting past these ridiculous fake controversies.
  4. I have a feeling it might be take a game (a loss) to get a handle on how to defend Jackson. But it would be a big benefit if the Bills have a rematch iagainst the Ravens in the playoffs.
  5. Someone needs to Photoshop this with Lebron James or Steph Curry in the chair. This is really disturbing... ***** the NBA
  6. ????????????????? If Brady's skills have eroded so much that NE lets him go, what makes you think there is a snowball's chance in hell that a 49ers team that is good enough to lead the NFC at this point, would want to unsettle their team to bring in Tom Brady for a season? Why would you even suggest such a thing is a sane idea? This idea is so bad, that I have to hold my tongue.
  7. That's fine. I respect him (? he already passed Sanders. He will not catch up to Payton), but if coddling him is hurting the chances for my team, that I have followed for 40 years, that finally is making some headway after 20 years of futility, I will be super pissed if it gets in the way of their success. Another myth I see around here "Singletary isn't big enough, or can't run up the middle, to get into the end zone in goal line situations"...Utter NONSENSE. He was a touchdown MACHINE in college, and has an EXCEPTIONAL nose for the end zone. Up the middle or around the end, Devin gets in! Look how many of the 33 TD's are from inside the 5... If it's 4th and 1, I would MUCH rather see Singletary get the ball than Gore.
  8. You are creating a myth around him, and then believing your own bull. "I didn't come here for this....I came here to get into the tournament" - Frank Gore 2016 https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2016/10/17/doyel-colts-show-themselves-disastrous-closing-minutes/92053202/
  9. 6:40 Gore gets the ball near the goal line, twice ("Whew! So grateful we have Gore out there!") 10:28 Singletary by the goal line. There is nothing special about Frank Gore in short yardage situations. There are LOTS of guys that can do the job BETTER. I already acknowledged that Yeldon is a fumble risk. I just cannot believe that there isn't a free agent, or practice squad guy that can both hold onto the ball, and better Gore's paltry YPA. It's awful, and getting worse. I understand the leadership stuff, and know they aren't going to humiliate him, but I think it could bite them in the ass at some point in the season. He is alternating series with Singletary, and often gets the ball on the first play of the drive...and it goes nowhere....a wasted play. In the playoffs, against the elite teams, no room for wasting plays. I'm pretty sure the coaching staff is aware of this, but they are in a quandary, because they can't bench him. So instead they will regal us with tales of his leadership, and hedge his carries as best they can. I'm sure he has been a positive force for the team, but now I think it is quickly becoming "diminishing returns". WE SHALL SEE.
  10. So now he's out there as a "Non-Fumble Specialist"?... "He's the only guy that can do it!"
  11. Sentimental feelings (he'll play for losers!), "off-field" value, and "intangibles".... he's done, and I won't mind a whit if he is retired to the sideline where he can work his magic just as well, at this point.
  12. I don't understand all the sentimentality about Gore. He is a 49er in my mind. I have very little investment in watching him. It's nice that he is 3rd all time (though I don't consider him anywhere near the talent of the guys around him), but it's a small footnote in this season for me. He has had plenty of opportunities early in games, he's not just out there killing the clock (and even when you are killing the clock, the idea is to get more than 1.4 yards, ANY back can do that). Wait til we are in a playoff game and Gore strings together a few 1 yard gains on drive starts.
  13. You think Bills players have been snubbed??
  14. The 90's team has gotten all its accolades...it's on to the 2020's.
  15. If this is what he's gonna do for the rest of the season, he is a liability. 4 games without a run over 6 yards in 36 carries! How does anyone defend his performance? Something like "He's not there to gain yards, it's his intangibles"? 16. I don't think Foster is good at taking hits. He looks a bit cautious, and reticent when contact is imminent. He has been injured a lot...I doubt any CB's are gonna bite on an inside move within 20 yards of the line of scrimmage. I hope they can keep him healthy, it's important to have a deep threat Would love to see more of this deep stuff, for sure...
  17. I think Yeldon would gain more yards if he got the carries Gore does. Of course, Yeldon is a bit of a fumble concern, so I wouldn't;t want him out there for that role. I have to think there is an unsigned, or practice squad guy that is better than Gore. I know the Bills won't replace him (unless he gets a pesky injury...), but he is terrible. Sure, he might have another decent game, a run or two that is good, but just about any decent back (Sinorise Perry?) given enough carries would do that. He is a liability, and his carries are wasted downs. To who, Bills fans?
  18. At this point, does anyone else get a letdown whenever they see #20 on the field? I'd rather see Yeldon out there, and let DiMarco handle the "just hold onto the ball and don't fumble" plays.
  19. They give out warning like that often in games. It's not a big deal. That said, I do think the Refs were calling the game from a Dallas perspective.
  20. I don't like it. It's not a big deal. I prefer guys that celebrate with their teammates over guys that run off and dance around on their own.
  21. I don't think they are fixing games, but I think they are "shaping" games. Teams like the Cowboys and Patriots get some shaping, in my opinion, but I think it's more like "hey guys, look for headhunting on Tom Brady. We want to discourage that" than "try to give the Patriots a lot of crucial calls".
  22. For now. And that isn't the post I'm referring, obviously.
  23. I didn't claim they shouldn't be deleted. I merely pointed out to the poster that said "Posts aren't deleted" that in fact, they are deleted. What is confusing about that? In fact, Chandler just deleted a post where I made him look foolish.
  24. Everyone should tailor the board to meet their needs. The Ignore option allows members a useful tool to do that. People come to the board for a variety of reasons. Some posters (even though I might agree with their opinions) don't post about or make points that pertain close enough to what I want to get from the board, so instead of sifting through their comments, I set them to ignore. It's not a big deal, and is in fact, trivial. I only mentioned the Ignore option because it is the obvious way to deal with the problem the OP raised, without changing the rules.
