  1. Terrelle Pryor is in his third season.
  2. The kickoff return by Easley was TERRIBLE. I mean he appeared to have zero elusiveness. The first guy there took him down all alone, and Easley pretty much ran right into him. I understand that McKelvin was injured, but why haven't they been grooming another guy anyway, considering he is their top CB right now? Jim Leonard is just wrong on so many levels.
  3. CJ is just as capable as last year. It's all how you use him...
  4. I didn't say he didn't, did I? He wasn't FORCED to make plays, he was playing with a lead. That way the Jets can dictate the game to the Bills. If the Bills had scored touchdowns instead of kicking field goals, there is lots more pressure on the opposing QB. Do you disagree?
  5. I don't care what the stats are, the defense was good enough to win. The offense had the opportunities, but couldn't get into the endzone, so they had to kick for 3 repeatedly. The Alonso pick, and after the big FJ run were CRITICAL. They needed touchdowns there to control the game, and force Geno to make plays. They blew it. To me it was glaring that the offense was letting the team down. This reminds me of the fights on this board that Fitz was good enough to win with a good defense.
  6. I LIKE MANUEL. I just don't think passes to the flat are a strength of his. I think the young receivers are making it more difficult for him.
  7. Does it have to be Summers? Manuel's throws to the flat are usually badly placed, and the target has to make a difficult catch. I don't remember every throw to Summers, but I certainly have seen plenty of **** throws to the flat.
  8. I have to dispute the passes to the flat. He is terrible at that. He doesn't have a good feel for leading the back on those passes. He need reps. Lots, and lots of reps. I think he will be good, but he has to keep adding to his repertoire of throws. It's gonna take some time...
  9. I think this is the key, too. I expect him to be steady, and the same guy that we see at home, if only because he seems to have such a steady temperament. But we won't know until we see it. If he is, the Bills will win. That might seem obvious, but it's not like he is going to throw 3 TD's in a loss (something Fitz would do).
  10. I think the NFL is full of mediocre teams, and that the Bills defense will be good enough to keep the team in almost every game. If the offense progresses nicely, they can make the playoffs. I wanna see a couple more games to get a feel for this team. After the first quarter of the season, we should have some kind of idea what the team can do.
  11. Don't open the link. When the links are no longer hot, they will quickly fade. Of course, they will be replaced with something equally annoying.
  12. I like that the Bills, with a rookie QB, new schemes, and new starters, should make bigger strides than some of the teams that are old/peaked, the Steelers come to mind.
  13. Searcy has made some nice plays, and is good against the run, but he has some weaknesses that I don't want on the field, if they can be avoided. They aren't going to get anything they want, in a trade for Byrd.
  14. There sure are a lot of mediocre football teams.
  15. Yep. I don't think Manuel has confidence in Graham. Graham will have to earn it. If Graham was wide open on the last play, Manuel still would have forced it to a covered S. Johnson rather than risk putting the balance of the game in the hands of Graham. Manuel is still developing, and I don't know that even if he HAD a complete set of WR's and a TE, that he is quite capable of utilizing them all yet. Let the pot stew for a bit. Most of these guys are still learning, and the curve is really steep. All these guys have to go through the trials and tribulations that make up a pro. Hopefully the Bills will continue to win while the new guys learn the ropes.
  16. Yeah, he doesn't seem 100%. I think he is good, but a very good TE could propel the offense to great things.
  17. For years I have said that a TE wasn't the piece that was needed, and that other needs were more glaring. Now it is time. TE is the weakest link on the offense, and the position that an upgrade would have the biggest effect.
  18. I agree wholly with this post. The Bills are fortunate to have 5 guys from those teams already in. Maybe Reed, but none of the others. The call for Tasker is a local thing. Maybe if he had accomplished more as a receiver, but his accomplishments against 2nd and 3rd stringers, on Special Teams, ain't gonna cut it.
  19. Not really. But a better question is, "With teams running so many more plays, aren't the injuries/wear and tear going to mount up by the end of the season?"
  20. Every time I post a question, the first response is someone telling me about a different, better question. I guess I will stick to responses, and maybe derail a few threads. Talk to this guy...
  21. This question was raised recently, and I'm wondering, how many injuries are caused by PEDs?
  22. I will start the new topic for you guys....
  23. Tell us all about it.
  24. Hadn't even thought about the blows to the head. At the least, shortening of careers seems pretty likely.
  25. Yep. By the end of this season, I'm expecting the offense to be really beat up, and if they were to make the playoffs(haha) it could be a real problem. I agree with that, but it's really a different topic...
