  1. It wouldn't be accurate enough, because so many variables would change if the opponent knows it is your common strategy. A lot of this could be dependent on your opponent. I mean, if you want to go for at your own 35, and you are playing the EJ Manuel led 2013 Buffalo Bills, it is likely the right strategy.
  2. I really like the idea of surprise onside kicks. Or even short kicks to an open spot 20-30yards deep. Lots of those guys aren't really "hands" guys. Even if you don't get the ball, if you do it once in a while, teams will to start to compromise their kick receiving formation to account for it.
  3. Eventually the word will lose it's power, this is all part of the process. No need to worry though, there will always be new hateful terms to take the place of the old, outmoded expressions.
  4. Why Fitz would leave.
  5. Huh? Go back and read my posts.
  6. You will have to figure it out for yourself.
  7. Not so weird. Why stay with a team that wants you to take a pay cut, that hasn't been a contender in ages, and the GM is on tape talking about how inferior you are? He knew they were going to draft a QB, and Tenn. wanted him, and Locker was nothing special. It was obviously the better situation for Fitz.
  8. I want to root for Fitz, but then this board gets so annoying when he has the slightest success. He is a nice backup, but it was time to move on...
  9. I was a bit snarky, for sure. We are all devoted Bills fans, so it can lead to irritability when they are so disappointing....
  10. I'm aware of all that, but those 32 games can throw off many well laid plans. They release the schedule in April. Regardless, I don't think it's a coincidence that the week the Bills are eliminated is the week they complain. It's certainly more likely that, than somehow THIS is the week the NFL is starting to work out next season's schedule.
  11. It's about the bye-week scheduling. How can they be tailoring the bye week schedule against/ or for the Bills, without knowing who each of the teams opponents will be? It all has to interlock, so complaining now isn't any more effective than any other time. They are pissed because they now have no hope for the playoffs.
  12. ???? Opponents are based on the final standings, dude. Please, get it together just a little bit before posting.
  13. You lost me there. Selecting a guy as good as Moulds this draft, wouldn't seem that much more likely than finding a reasonably good QB. Either way, it's no given.
  14. That point could have been made any time. I imagine it was made now, because they just fell out of the playoff picture completely, and are feeling sorry for themselves, and lashing out.
  15. Yeah, but if they don't have a QB, it won't matter. They have had many excellent players, who never even played in a playoff game. Whole careers wasted, while they couldn't even get out of the gate because they didn't have a competent QB. I know this issue has been run into the ground...
  16. We still have to see how much progress EJM makes the rest of the year. I think he will be okay, but if it doesn't look promising, I don't think they have much to lose.
  17. Some have argued that selecting a second QB hasn't often been done, and I suggested that circumstances have changed. I also mention the drought to point out that new approaches may need to be taken, because the past approaches haven't been working.
  18. Well, maybe the decision should be easy when you haven't good quarterbacking for over a decade, and haven't made the playoffs for 14 seasons straight. Having a second QB that is another great prospect, is not that terrible of a situation to be in.
  19. I think the scheduling sucked, but formally complaining about it now, instead of earlier (or even after the season) seems like whining. Marrone's demeanor the past few weeks has been a little annoying. He is showing a few cracks in his persona.
  20. Loved him as a player, dreaded him as a commentator. Seemed like a great guy though, and way too young to go. Hope he had a great life while he was here.
  21. After the game, I posted a thread asking if anyone had compiled footage of all of EJM's throws (got closed...). I have seen comps. like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l5DVH67zGE , of prospects pre-draft. I was wondering if anyone was doing something like that, or might know where to find it? I would do it myself, but I get the games streaming, and don't have the technology available to do it.
  22. http://en.wikipedia....season_droughts I don't care that teams haven't drafted QB's high in successive drafts. It may be time for the Bills to break new ground in something other than consecutive Super Bowl losses, and playoff droughts. The coming draft class of QB's is being touted as one of the best in a while (scoff if you like), and if there is a great prospect available when they have a pick, TAKE HIM! They are going nowhere without a QB, and if both turn out, effin' GREAT. All this nonsense about "there isn't enough reps to go around in training camp" or that it will mess up EJM's psyche is balderdash. The way QB's are getting injured, the new rookie payscale, and the development of QB coaching that has guys better prepared for the pro game, it could very well signal that a new approach to drafting QB's is reasonable. It's obviously too early to make a fair assessment of EJM's potential right now, but by the end of the season, he will have been given enough time to show potential. Give us something to hang a helmet on! For their own good, this staff better have a QB looking good by the end of their 3rd season. Even if the team sucks, if they have a developed a good QB (finally), it would probably save their skins. If EJM sucks next season, they will need someone else ready-to-go, for year three.
  23. He looked "alright" against Cleveland, I wouldn't say he was carving them up.
