  1. I don't know who is the worst, but he was more than bad enough (who do you consider worse?). Obviously, everyone has their own taste, but it's just as obvious that he annoyed MANY, MANY people. The NFL is more enjoyable without him.
  2. I'm anxious to see what they can do deep, in a domed stadium.
  3. Geno is a mess. I could easily see them losing any one of those games. I'm mostly concerned that the Bills won't win out. If they do, I doubt it will be the Jets or Dolphins keeping them out.
  4. I can't picture the Geno & the Jets in the playoffs. I can't picture the Dolphins in the playoffs. These are 2 teams that seem to be on a downward trend. San Diego ain't going. I can picture the Ravens, or Steelers in the playoffs. Maybe the Bills...
  5. Yep. Even an interception (provide they are tackled/go down at the spot) is equal to a great punt around the goal line. I'd like to think that EJM and the coaches were aware of that, going into that play.
  6. I can't see why they would want to "phase out" SJ. I think Goodwin is going to surpass Graham, but I would be fine with the main 4 (SJ, Woods, Graham, Goodwin), IF they get a big TE to handle the big man, red zone type chores. Otherwise, they may get a big WR, and one of these guys (probably Graham) will be gone, or the 5th man.
  7. Excellent points. I have no doubt that Gronkowski (I'm sick of calling him "Gronk", it sounds idiotic) was trying as hard to get a PI call, as he was trying to catch the ball. It would have been a travesty to allow that to happen.
  8. This was not the worst call in the history of the NFL. This is being way overblown (like every other minor event). The Panthers deserved to win the game, and handing the Pats a pass interference call would have been wrong. It's obvious that Brady was going to throw to Gronkowski no matter what. He tried to force the ball into tight coverage on a desperation throw, under threw it, and it didn't work out. No more tears please.
  9. That Byrd sack was awesome. I saw somewhere a post that said he only makes play against inferior opponents, but that sack clearly shows that he has great instincts. That Goodwin touchdown is comical. You can almost hear the DB saying "oh s*** !" to himself.
  10. Exactly. It was essentially a Hail Mary pass. I think all this controversy takes away from the fact that Carolina outplayed the Pats, and the Pats were given plenty of critical close calls throughout the game which kept scoring drives alive. But instead, we have to watch Brady and Belichick act like they've been victimized, which is a complete joke.
  11. Who cares what category people want to put him in? I want Spiller on the team because he has proven that he can be a versatile, and explosive player when used properly. I also think they should use a 2nd or 3rd pick in this coming draft, on another running back (if there is a good one available when they select). FJ could hit the wall any day, and they need a complimentary tandem of RB's.
  12. I find it completely stupid, though many fans love anything that includes "getting into the face" of players. That is the job of the coaches. Why should Spiller be generating hostility with his linemen?
  13. Carolina outplayed them, and deserved to win the game, Gronk would have had to run though Keeks (who had position on him) to make that catch, the pass was underthrown, and it would have been a travesty to give them the ball on the one, after what amounted to a Hail Mary. Plus, the Pats got plenty of help from the officials. I think it was the drive to tie the game, where the flags were flying, taking to Pats all the way to the endzone. I wanted the first question for Belichick to be "How did you feel about the officiating on the drive in the 3rd quarter to tie the game?"
  14. He said "hey man, you don't go the Dave and Buster's for Buffalo wings, man", and Reed said "I know, I tried to tell them".
  15. If Byrd is the biggest "problem child" on this team, we should consider ourselves fortunate.
  16. I still can't figure out why people were so upset with the guy. He didn't say anything bad about the fans, or his teammates. He was negotiating his salary. I was disappointed in the way it turned out, but we don't really know what has transpired between him and the organization.
  17. He could have a tablet that feeds him the same view (and others if needed), and it's not some tricky technology. No need to be in the booth!
  18. Oh, Beerball...
  19. What about rational?
  20. We want people to be rational.
  21. Every kook is gonna want to post their feelings. I doubt most people had written him off, they just didn't bother posting their support.
  22. Not many "gave up" on EJM. We want to see progress. Today he did really well. I'm sure everyone is happy.
  23. This might be the single most overblown event in the history of the NFL, and sports media.
  24. This subject leads me to something my father always predicted would happen, having 2 QB's on the field. One would be a more traditional QB. the other a half-back/QB hybrid that would run roll outs and half-back options (kinda like Fred Jackson occasionally ran). Really what all these ideas amount to, is widening the spectrum of what a defense has to be prepared to defend.
  25. I agree. I am all for implementing SOME of this approach. It puts even more pressure on a defense, and a DC.
