  1. Ok, I just need to know if this would be considered "whining that Fitz is good enough to take the Bills into the playoffs"?
  2. http://espn.go.com/blog/indianapolis-colts/post/_/id/6726/colts-release-depth-chart
  3. There are 32 teams. If you are say, a Minnesota Vikings fan, you're whining about Anthony Carter, Matt Birk, Chuck Foreman, Matt Blair, Jim Marshall.... It's ridiculous. Every team had some "very good" players. I think the Bills are fairly represented.
  4. yeah, the attitude of entitlement from some Bills fans is getting out of hand. All the Bills players that should be in, are in.
  5. How can a game where a team scored 50 plus be the "worst" game the Bills have played in? Sounds like one team was playing pretty well... Great game! Down to the wire. Truly one of the most exciting games in Bills history.
  6. I think a better title would be "Dullest Bills Game Ever" if you want the opposite of "exciting". The heartbreaking losses are well known, and have been discussed countless times. Everyone seems anxious to bring them up at any chance. The Dallas MNF loss was exciting, definitely not the opposite. The real drag for me as a fan is watching boring games. Losing is bad enough, but boring and losing is unforgivable. The MNF game against Cleveland takes it for me. The national audience just gives it a big edge. They bored a nation.
  7. Jonny BJ is getting way too much attention out of this. Nothing Reed said offends me. I have a great time in Toronto too....wouldn't want to live there. In fact, I had a great time in Mexico....wouldn't want to live there either.
  8. CJ isn't the problem. He would be welcomed by the Pats, Broncos, Packers, Colts...teams with good QB's. He would be an incredible asset, and they would figure out ways to exploit defenses with him. A top flight QB, with Watkins and CJ, would have DC's crapping their pants. Stop whining about CJ, these Bills have way bigger problems.
  9. CJ was not the problem with the Bills offense last year (or ever). Better play of the QB has been the problem. Put CJ in Denver, San Diego, or Indy and he would tear it up. Indy would be a great place for him. If they trade CJ I would want a player, not a pick.
  10. Thanks. I think it's a good moniker for him.
  11. Sambora was playing that banal, music for the Malls of America, Desmond Child song-doctored crap with just as much enthusiasm as Jonny BJ.
  12. He was EXACTLY as impressive as I thought he was when I WATCHED the games.
  13. I can't find where I insinuate that you wanted to keep Fitz as a starter. I can find people in this very thread who seem to feel Fitz is "good enough" (FireChan, and ALF seem to feel that way). Others too, though not necessarily in this thread, but my initial comments referred to the whining since he was let go. So which one of us is playing "Straw Man" games?
  14. Actually, what it means to me is that if A. Hernandez is found "Not Guilty", then maybe the Bills will have a better chance of acquiring him. Spikes could help bring him in. Wouldn't that be just awesome? I mean, do you know how many touchdowns that guy has scored?
  15. "2) I don't recall anyone whining about the Bills getting rid of Fitz because he was "good enough" to build around as a starter. After 3 years, he had his chance and regressed rather than impressed. Some of us thought it was not the best move to dump Fitz as a backup/mentor in favor of Kolb and TJax. I still think that, actually, just as I think it was dumb to dump tough as nails TJax in favor of "German Word for Made Of Glass" Kolb. I think they wanted to keep Fitz, but tried to low ball him too hard on the contract renegotiation offer with nothing guaranteed and they wound up paying more for less in the backup situation as a result (plus taking the cap hit) But that's just me." Not just that he has been named the starter. But that you pulled out the snark, and acted like it was clueless to think there were people that still thought Fitz was "good enough". Obviously, there are some that still feel Fitz is "good enough".
  16. Yeah, that's what I said... "I don't care if we have a few serial killers on the roster, I want that trophy!" = I want tough defensive football players that get overly aggressive at times
  17. yeah, I don't care if we have a few serial killers on the roster, I want that trophy! I mean, what are the odds that someone I KNOW will be a victim...It's all good. Bills Rule!
  18. Ha. He is one of 15 people that Hernandez wants to be able to contact. That's pretty close friendship. It's not an indictment, but it's not exactly a positive. Tell me more about this, I want to know how your mind works...
  19. What do you want FChan? Never use a 1st pick on a QB? Never draft a QB? Evaluate any rookie after one season? Only pursue proven free agent QB's? Am I missing one? What are the choices?
  20. Yeah, I really like Fitz as guy, and teammate. He is an excellent choice for a backup.
  21. It goes deeper than that. He could manage SOME games. But he crumbled in the clutch, even when protecting a lead. Can't do that. He will never MANAGE a team to more than a single playoff win (if he is very lucky).
  22. Dude, EJM was a rookie. If you want to make ridiculous comparisons...how many TD's did Fitz throw as a rookie?
