  1. I don't know. When I see that I think "what QB could work under that kind of rush?"
  2. His talent got him a shot. They had him in and made the decision that he probably wasn't going to become a successful pro, and lo and behold THEY WERE RIGHT. They made the right decision about THIS player. You can talk about your "roster building philosophy", but they were applying that kind of philosophy when they brought him in. Training camp was enough for them to figure it out, and again, THEY WERE RIGHT. Another troubled player will no doubt come along, and get a shot, and the team might decide he is worth it. They felt Da'Rick wasn't worth it, and THEY WERE RIGHT.
  3. NO, it's insane to think any team with Kyle Orton at QB, no 1st pick next season, and no real prospects for a QB in sight, is in a good place just because they play in the weakest division in the NFL. I said I would enjoy it, but would PREFER that they were actually one of the top teams in the league, and not just falling into the playoffs because the division sucks. I would switch places with the Seahawks or Cardinals or even the 49ers...2 of those teams won't win the division, yet the Cardinals and Seahawks are definitely top teams in the league. Better situation. For me, it's about actually being a good team that can compete for a championship.
  4. I don't know if you guys were around for the Super Bowl years. I was, and I was also around for the 1980 Bills playoff season. They were actually good in 1980, but sucked for years after that. It wasn't gratifying.
  5. Of course I'll enjoy it, but that doesn't mean I will automatically be happy with the team's future prospects. I want more than a playoff appearance, I want to see a solid organization, with a plan, and good pieces in place. A drubbing at the hands of the Chargers or some other top team in a playoff game won't make me happy. If it doesn't feel like they have something to build on, it's just a lucky roll of the dice in a bad division.
  6. It's not hard. I want the team to be able to compete against the best teams in the league, and I'm not impressed by winning a crappy division by default. Dancing around because they made the playoffs (the Browns made the playoffs a few years ago with a complete crap team, and promptly went right back to failing) is silly if the team isn't good. By the time they will likely have a shot at an above average QB, the roster will be different. Kyle Williams, Mario Williams, Fred Jackson...these guys are on the downside. One of eithe r the Cardinals or the Seahawks are going to place 2nd in that division, are the Bills better than either one of them? Which teams have a brighter future?
  7. Who cares if they win the division, if they are still a bad football team? I guess it's nice, but I would be more impressed if they were really good, but came in 2nd to a great Pats, Jets, or Dolphins team. At least then I would know they were headed in the right direction. Maybe if the Pats are through, it will be easier to get a good Head Coach here.
  8. Yeah, I think the O-line was as bad as EJM these last 2 games. The rush definitely got into his head pretty quickly against the Texans. That is something he has to improve, but it's a little different that just being incompetent.
  9. If they want to trade him, maybe the Raiders will bite? Do they have any picks left?
  10. Yeah, it feels pretty good.
  11. Yeah, it appears that the Saints have passed their "sell by" date. And they just gutted the team to get Byrd.
  12. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/saints-let-bunch-players-sign-195900134.html
  13. Nothing will convince this guy that he might not know how to handle it better than this Bills staff.
  14. I don't see why EJM can't continue to develop his skills. He was rushed out there too soon, obviously. Hopefully it will make him stronger.
  15. You're dreaming. This is the real world, and if the QB was at least competent I would agree, but when it's not at a professional level, the players have a right to express disenchantment (in the locker room) and demand competence, because it directly affects their career.
  16. Yeah, EJ is definitely bad for business if you are a WR.
  17. What claptrap in week 4. So when they were 2-0 they were one of the best teams in the league? Of course not, everything is in flux. Bill Parcells was a blowhard, even if he was a good coach.
  18. Yep. The reactions of the WR's are a pretty good indication of how the team feels. Marrone HAD to make the change.
  19. Maybe, just maybe, the coaching staff knows a bit more about the guy than you? They brought him in to camp, spent time with him, watched him every day, interviewed him, etc, and all you have done is watch a few pre-season games and one game of Colts highlights. The Bills know so much more about his personal life, his mental capabilities and his physical capabilities than you, yet here you are trying to convince people that YOU know how to handle this situation better than them. It's complete nonsense. You were wrong.
  20. So the Bills were right, and you were wrong? Ok, good.
  21. Then don't read it. No one is forcing you, and what could you expect after a game like that, and so many years of futility?
  22. The Bills offense ranks 24th in total yards. 28th in passing yards. The Bills also ranked NUMBER 1 in the National Football League through the first 3 weeks in average starting field position (line of scrimmage) per drive. http://www.footballo...ivestatsoff2014
  23. I doubt that the Bills will be a "Top 10 team at getting the ball inside the 20" at the end of the season. I haven't looked it up, but I'm gonna guess that the Bills have found themselves in or near the red zone a bit more often than other teams because of "short fields" supplied by turnovers or good defending against a team deep in their own zone. I think EJM's problems extend from goalpost to goalpost.
  24. Orton is gonna s*** the bed too.
  25. Oh, then I guess this offense is right on the cusp! I don't care what the stats are, it's only been 4 games, the real concern's are way broader than "Red Zone efficiency".
