  1. I have a ton of respect for the guys! It's the taste of people that LIKE the music they release that I question. It's schlock. The band admits as much. They are a real band of guys that got into a Van and worked their a***** off , as opposed to some group put together by a management team or some such nonsense.
  2. It's only been one game, half of which he wasnt very good....
  3. No one claimed his appearance had anything to do with his play. Just having a bit of fun, is that acceptable?
  4. To me, he looks more like Peter Sellers.
  5. I get that, but what else is he gonna do that will make him millions of dollars? How does the fact that he has been cut so often equate to improvement? And I still get the feeling when I listen to him, that it's just a job to him. I haven't heard him talk about things like "I'm excited to make the most of this opportunity" or allude to this being his last shot at proving he can lead a winner, or any of that kind attitude. He acts like a veteran QB, who knows his job, and tries to perform as best he can I don't see a "I've been kicked around, and I'm here to prove something" type of chip on his shoulder.
  6. I wonder if the guys in the GooGoo Dolls, the guys that used to work and play at the Continental , would ever buy or even listen to the music that is released by "The GooGoo Dolls"...I'm gonna say "no".
  7. What does that really mean? EJM stunk it up a week and a half ago, and that was a whole different month, does that mean that he should start , I mean it's a whole new day!
  8. Where is the evidence that this is such a great offense? The running game is not very strong. The O-line has been pretty bad sometimes, the WR's are unproven, the TE is avg at best, and the OC obviously isn't one of the top coordinators in the league, so what are you talking about?
  9. I doubt he can keep up with a very good offensive team. I can see him MAYBE winning a Wildcard game, but no more. I hope I'm wrong. He hasn't been a starter since the league clamped down on DB's though. Maybe that will benefit his game in unforeseen ways. Just having the balls to make a throw goes a long way these days. It's like you are twice as likely to get a PI, but you gotta throw it first, or you'll never get a call.
  10. "Soft" is the wrong term. He isn't ready (and might never be ready). I don't doubt his courage, I doubt his approach. He is also being drilled to avoid contact after his injury. He was hit 16 times by guys trying to maul him. Some of those hits would have most fans crying for their mommy. As far as saying to his face, I'm confident that EJM is smart enough to ignore some idiot fan trying to get his goat (especially considering that he is a pretty big dude, and wealthy, just walking away with a laugh is the winning move).
  11. Meh, go jump in the lake. (No, I don't mean actually go jump into the lake)
  12. Ha. There isn't enough there to convict, but this thread is full of "GUILTY" verdicts.
  13. I stand by my comments. I think this board is filled with people that are overly anxious to throw stones. If you wanna run Watkins out of town for this, that's up to you. There isn't enough there for it to be some kind of "serious transgression of the professional code" or some such nonsense. WGAF
  14. All I read is an out of context quote, presented as a condemnation of EJM, yet everyone seems more anxious to present their opinion about how a rookie should act, the state of this generation, and ignore that Watkins comments aren't very vindictive, even out of context. I don't think these comments should be used as some kind of measuring stick of Watkins as a teammate, or as "a reflection of the modern player".
  15. Dude, why not actually find out what he said in it's entirety before making judgements? The comments by themselves aren't even that damning of EJM.
  16. It's odd the question they were answering isn't printed (or maybe that's the way Rodak likes to play it?). Also, there may have been 5 minutes of the receivers praising and encouraging EJM, but those quotes are on the cutting room floor.
  17. I'm curious if it's strictly "EJM is so bad, we may as well throw Orton out there", or if Orton has been doing well at practices anyway, and has looked better than EJM all along.
  18. As funny as these pics look now, if he goes out there and sucks, we will all say "it's obvious that this guy is essentially a career backup, he doesn't take his job seriously...blahblahblah".
  19. Judging by these photos, he seems like a pretty loose guy, and someone that would be easy to socialize with. He probably was distancing himself a bit, so as not to interfere with the social order of the team.
  20. Thank you. He was in an awkward spot socially when he got here, I bet he can start getting closer to the team now. Pretty sure winning some games will make him a lot more popular, and build some camaraderie.
  21. Yeah, but he has been here, practicing for a month. I realize the practices are closed, but I'm asking if anyone has heard anything "off-the-record". Players talk to people, reporters are around the team, with some of the disenchantment and questions about EJM, I'm guessing people around the team might have been paying some attention to Orton's progress since he has arrived.
  22. Cool, my first snippet of "Orton The Bill" info.
  23. Oh man.... I'm just asking if anyone has heard, or has seen any mention about how he might be doing. A pretty innocuous question. I haven't heard ANYTHING about the guy's progress with the team, what kind of shape he was in when he arrived....nothing.
  24. Has anyone heard anything about how Orton has looked in practice since he was signed? Rumors, eyewitness accounts, anything? Was the changed strictly based on EJM crapping the bed, or has Orton impressed the coaching staff, or have any players mentioned anything about him prior to this change?
