  1. More romanticizing of Gore...2 yard (and losses) gains aren't going to give Allen anything to lean on.
  2. The problem with these stats is they don't include the illegals and homeless that have come to replace the leavers.
  3. No one "loves" Yeldon. We are choosing between Yeldon and Gore. Yeldon is just a guy, but Gore is done.
  4. The 90's Cowboys were doing plenty of blow. Michael Irvin? Nothing I have seen leads me to believe that Giants team was doing anything that wasn't happening on other, less successful teams. This whole thread is filled with nonsense.
  5. Right, funny no one is also taking into account the downside of the drug abuse. It's not like it doesn't also detract from a player's performance in some ways, as well.
  6. Remember Chargers player that did the SI article on their coke use? It was everywhere (and considering how popular cocaine is right now, probably still is).
  7. I have never heard anyone talk about the Giants of that era as being notable for their drug use (Lawrence Taylor? yes), or that their accomplishments should be downgraded because of it. But then, I have half of you blocked ? The only football team I have seen anything like that about is the 70's Steelers because of their steroid use. No shortage of cocaine use throughout the NFL at that time.
  8. This is my opinion of the defense and Taylor, as well.
  9. I'm thinking they would do ALL those things. I think they have a Cheating Corp, with it's own coordinator, like "Offense , Defense, Special Teams, and Cheating"...it's just the 4th phase of the game. It might have some corporate jargon type name, like "Rules Expansion" or "Regulations Resources".
  10. What would you consider "making a case"...is there a statistic for it? Their run defense has been poor.... I don't know how to support it with "hard evidence". DO I think he is a very good player, who would be worthy of being drafted by the Bills, if that were the situation? OF ***** COURSE! But that's NOT the situation. The situation is "Do you want to give up a king's ransom for a player that is a sack machine on a team with a loaded D-line, who will be 29 years old, and your team already has a top end defense?". NO. Again, it doesn't really matter, because the Bills WILL NOT SIGN DONALD.
  11. Marshawn Lynch is 3 years younger than Frank Gore.
  12. Hmmm...I'm always a bit perplexed by this...There is a whole season's worth of plays (at least) that are out there. What is the big deal about some "new" play? You can just as easily mislead a future opponent with a "new" play, as give away some kind of secret. I think it is nonsense, and is way overblown. If a team has been at all conscious of running different plays using a variety of formations, it shouldn't be a problem. Coach: "When they are in this formation, and send the TE in motion, they might run this play, that play, or that play, or this play, or this play, or this play, or that play. Last season, when they were in this formation, and sent the TE in motion, they ran this play, or this play, or that play, and that play, and this play. Got it guys?" C'mon...
  13. Start Barkley. I agree that the backups should start...but why no game plannning? That is an important part of the preparation, regardless of what players are used.
  14. No one has mentioned the obvious comparison....Frank Gore. At this point, I'd rather have Lynch than Frank Gore Why? Why would you want another team to have success when you are (supposedly) rooting for the Bills? I would rather that it fails miserably.
  15. He's quitting to play "Fatball".
  16. Fine. Nothing about the way the Bills are currently run, suggests they will pursue Donald, so I don't really give a *****.
  17. I live in Los Angeles, and it is often brought up on the local shows. Woods? finding another WR's that is better? Where, Who? Impossible! IDFKnow. We'll see when the season is over, and when the draft and free agency are going. Point is, I don't believe he would offer much of an improvement, if any. And again...they aren't going to pursue him. He is done with Buffalo.
  18. The Bills are not going to seriously pursue Donald. "Hard empirical evidence"... about his attitude? https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2019/07/16/nfl-rams-run-defense-pro-football-focus-ranking/ Their defense has ranked near the bottom of the league the past couple years, and is currently 23rd.
  19. "Impossible" pfft. It's not hard to argue that the Bills don't need to add him...they are better than the Rams right now, without him. And spending the money somewhere else surely has merit as an argument. Donald is considered a selfish player, that neglects the run and his gaps, in order to get sacks. I think sacks are overrated. Woods would be a nice, but I doubt he would provide much more than what we already have. I think finding a WR that was at least a notch better would be the right way to approach it.
  20. I think it would be foolish to pay Donald that kind of money. Keep the guys we have, and build through the draft. Robert Woods would be nice, but he is basically the level of guys we have already. We need at least one guy that is BETTER than what we have already.
  21. It's the QB. I can't wait to see what he can do with an elite WR.
  22. The Bills need more horses. I feel they are squeezing as much as possible out of what they have.
  23. Yeah, way too much has been made of that throw.
