  1. And jamming a gauge into it, and checking to see that it is at the right pressure, and doing it to 12 balls, repeatedly, unnoticed, every game, every season, for 15 years.
  2. I don't know, but I don't think it's when someone deflates some balls. PED's are way more serious to me.
  3. I don't think there is a team in the league that hasn't had players caught.
  4. I'm not sure what to say, except that there are cameras all over the stadiums, and some are filming individuals, some are on groups, some are on wide areas...if they are doing this regularly, it would be on film somewhere.
  5. Every team is using them. Pete Carroll should be suspended.
  6. I think they are too. I think whatever penalty is given to a PED abuser should be applied to the player in this case. Cheating is cheating. And if the coach is indeed responsible for the cheating of the players, let's get that righted.
  7. Maybe they don't need to check them, because this is an overblown controversy and the balls have been fine, and no significant advantage is gained?
  8. IS a coach responsible for a player using PED's?
  9. I'm talking security cameras in the hallways, not necessarily network cameras. Pre-game warmups, fans with phones, all kinds of media are around all the time. If someone can get away with this mid-game on the sideline, all 12 balls, multiple games, across multiple seasons (according to some here). There would be some kind of suspicious footage, somewhere. THey could easily say they were set up. I wouldn't put it past a Harbaugh And to ACCURATELY deflate 12 balls to the same new pressure, mid-game, on the sideline, surreptitiously with a gauge, it takes less than a second each?
  10. Not a valid response. How about something reasonable, instead of a diversion?
  11. http://www.csnne.com/new-england-patriots/curran-time-nfl-stop-deflategate-madness?p=ya5nbcs&ocid=yahoo Hmm.. D'Quell Jackson - ''The deal about me saying that I noticed anything about it, that's totally false" http://sports.yahoo.com/news/colts-jackson-says-noticed-nothing-wrong-football-215645753--nfl.html
  12. I would think that the actual game balls are the responsibility of the officials, so if there is deflation going on, and there is no PROOF that it was someone associated with the Pats, it's got to fall on the officials. There are cameras everywhere, wouldn't there be some security footage of the area where the ball is kept? OR some on the field footage of someone tampering, or going into the room before the game. I mean, people here having been assuming that this is a common practice of the Pats, right? Among all the footage of so many games, there would likely be some kind of suspicious activity on tape. Let me know when they find it, until then, it's all speculation. Right, no dissent allowed.
  13. If the NFL felt that having a deflated ball was a serious advantage, they would have a much harsher penalty in place. Yet, people on this board are somehow reaching the conclusion that it can have a massive effect on the game. No one seems to know EXACTLY the pre-game procedure with the balls, but instead just want to talk out their backend like they have a clue. There is NO evidence so far, that Belichick has anything to do with the balls. Personally, I think he has his mind on discovering more rewarding ways to cheat. To hold him responsible, is akin to holding a coach responsible for a player using PED's (a far more serious advantage to a player and team, in my mind). BRunell was with the Jets when the bad blood was raging between the Pats and Jets.... THe other "holier than thou" QB, Troy Aikman, is about as impartial as Jim Kelly at a home game.
  14. I don't believe it would be a priority for him. I think he would be busy looking for loopholes elsewhere.
  15. DO you really think most NFL coaches get involved with the ball psi? It's only because it's Belichick that you want to believe it so badly.
  16. He's gone. His petty hatred has overtaken his senses.
  17. You wrote that, then immediately compared them!
  18. I hate Aikman MORE than Brady. As I said, it is akin to a player using PED's. Suspend him, just like they would suspend a Dallas Cowboy for PED's.
  19. Right. A crime is a crime, and the punishment should be the same for all crimes?
  20. So, now you are comparing him to a guy who chopped up 2 people? Why bring OJ into this?
  21. Maybe Brunell hates Brady, or Belichick, I don't think he is any more reliable than any of the QB's who say "It's no big deal". Apparently it's his personal preference, and left it up to the officials to notice, just like when guys hold, or any other penalty. Or if you want to consider it "off-the field" it's akin to PED's. And he should be suspended like PED users (which are rampant across the league, no? And plenty of winning teams have had players suspended).
  22. How are you gauging this "advantage"? What evidence is there that a deflated ball is a significant advantage? Ever consider that the officials might have done a shoddy job because IT"S NOT THAT IMPORTANT?
  23. How do you know how close other QB's and coaches are? And that doesn't mean they talk about "ball pressure". It's jumping to conclusions. I served on a jury once, and it was filled with idiots. I'm guessing that's common.
