  1. I said this elsewhere, but I don't think it matters much when choosing between McCown, Sanchez, et al...This team isn't going to ask the QB to throw many passes that most journeyman QB's can't do well enough. They are going to hand the ball off, and throw 7 yards (or less) past the line of scrimmage. I expect them to draft a running back in the 2nd round.
  2. This is the right way to do it.
  3. Draft a guy, and let EJM hand the ball off 80% of the plays.
  4. We don't have anywhere near the amount of information to work with that "the staff" does. We haven't even seen him throw a pass since week 4. It's a silly poll.
  5. I love the Bills, and have said many good things about them. But then, they have also performed pretty crappy for the last 15 years, no? When ANY team is operating at such a dismal level, there is going to be a lot to criticize.
  6. Nothing to do with that evil creep, just an observation about Rex Ryan.
  7. There is something trashy about everything Rex Ryan does.
  8. A big reason why EJM didn't improve in his 2nd year, is because they weren't running the hurry up, which allowed for simpler reads. EJM needs lots of work, and I don't think Rex Ryan knows how to create the right environment for developing QB's. I don't believe any QB will reach their full potential under Ryan. McCown, Sanchez, et al... it won't matter much, because they will be playing small ball, and only attempting throws that are within the capabilities of most NFL journeymen.
  9. They just want someone they think EJM can easily beat out. If McClown is the only QB brought in, EJM will beat him out, and be the starter.
  10. You need to learn how to count.
  11. So if I don't dump on the Pats over ball pressure, that means I don't support the Bills? Pretty simplistic thinking from you, RBJ. I hope it doesn't represent all the "real Buffalo Joe's" level of thought.
  12. Is the purpose of posting on this forum, to "defend the Bills"?
  13. I'm not. I hate the Pats, I just don't whine about the success of other's.
  14. Okay, here is the latest...."McCown sucks, and we don't want him anywhere near a Bills uni."
  15. I think the Bills should just sign whatever QB is willing to accept the league minimum salary! Keep building up the roster everywhere else, until a first rate talent is available either through the draft, or free agency. It could take years of course, but at least the team will be ready. This team is going nowhere for now, and discussing Mark Sanchez is embarrassing.
  16. The New England Patriots....still the best team in the league.
  17. Yeah, very "Chandler-esque". None of these guys are gonna be better than Chandler, at least for a couple years. And is a guy available in the 5th just as good as a guy in the 2nd?
  18. What are the odds that one of these guys is significantly better than Chandler? Enough to blow the only pick they have that might bring in a top prospect? Nope.
  19. Ugh...I forgot about that. Did Rex Ryan approve that pathetic play? There are just some things about Ryan that are so trashy.
  20. No dissent allowed in this thread either, huh? Do I have to point out that Ryan wasn't the head coach in SF? The "philosophy" has been used in many places, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. Ryan has yet to pull it off..
  21. In other words, you are HOPING that he has figured it out. I think any OC will struggle under Ryan, because everything is geared towards making sure the defense looks good, first and foremost. That affects the offensive approach. It may be his 2nd stop, but he had a few OC's to work with, and plenty of time in NY to figure out how to get a decent offense on the field. It remains to be seen if he can do it now. He hasn't shown any aptitude for it, and I'm sure any free agent QB would be conscious of that fact. My original post asked if a QB would be excited to play for a Ryan coached team. I don't think many would, regardless of the OC.
  22. Fitz is better than plenty of guys for the first 50 minutes. It's those last 10 or so (the ones where games are won and lost) where he FAILS.
  23. Hmmm...he is also known to neglect his offenses. Hmmm...and now he WANTS the O-line to be a strength of the team. Hmmm his offenses have consistently sucked. Hmmm... I thought about linking to all the articles discussing how unbalanced his teams have been, his favoritism towards defensive players, etc. but just Google "Rex Ryan offense" and read them yourself.
  24. I wonder how many QB's would look forward to playing for a Rex Ryan coached team?
