  1. The out of bounds call wasn't challengeable.
  2. I stand by everything I post.
  3. It's easy to pose as vigilant when you know nothing will come of it. The Bills shouldn't be punished, they should be told to stop using that silly gimmick.
  4. Tyrod isn't quite as slippery in the pocket as Wilson. Tyrod may be better running upfield, but Wilson is better than anyone I have ever seen at slipping away from rushers.
  5. The thing about Ryan's boasting is that I don't think it had any effect on the way the Patriots played, I don't think it made them want to win any more than they would normally. It didn't compel them to be more focused. The team it effects is his own. The Head Coach performing for the media/fans during the week, sends a message to the team that showing bravado has some kind of relevance...it doesn't. Keep your head in the game, not on impressing the media/fans.
  6. The speed of decisions is my main concern. I think he will improve that though.
  7. Too much is being made of the interceptions. The one's at the end of each half were pretty much desperate situations. The clock management at the end of the first half, put Tyrod in a bad spot, and at the end of the game, while I wasn't thrilled with his decision, he was facing 7 DB's with no time outs, he had to force throws. I'm more concerned with some of the things that happened in the first 28 minutes of each half.
  8. From your comments, I saw this game pretty much like you did. You mention "Talent over lack of talent", and the thing that I find disheartening is that I would bet that Belichick would swap defensive personnel straight up.
  9. Maybe the joke is placing too much importance on D-lineman? Perhaps they are too easily taken out of a game? To me, the weakest units are O-line and linebackers. These were the units that cost us today.
  10. They can get away with it because they don't make mistakes. Great ball placement, great hands receivers. That sets up the deeper stuff. Most teams will make a small mistake that will kill the drive eventually. For example, Fitzpatrick. Gailey drew up some good plays, but between Fitz and the receivers someone was gonna blow it usually. Not the Pats, they are a machine.
  11. The announcers mentioned that the Patriots offensive system has remained the same throughout Brady's career. They changed OC's, but the kept the system. He knows what to do in every situation, and that continuity plays a role. They just continually refine it.
  12. Anyone know where to find a graph, or some kind of charting, of every play of each drive? I think the penalties were the single biggest factor in the game. They killed drives, ruined field position, and set the team reeling emotionally. They have to get that under control.
  13. I would think it would be easier to cover receivers, knowing that the ball was going to be coming out in under 2 seconds.
  14. It is a little weird, this rush for the exits. Many people here look at the schedule before the season, and put an "L" next to the Patriot games. The Bills are a work in progress, so going into this season, you would have to expect them to have some growing pains. They just aren't ready to beat the champs in week 2.
  15. I expect a win against the Dolphins. They aren't in the same class as the Patriots.
  16. Who cares about this silliness? It's more a publicity stunt for Guinness than some feather in the fan's cap. I'm sure they will be doing this throughout the season at other stadiums.
  17. I'm sure Belichick would trade defensive personnel straight up. Out-coached.
  18. They should be fine if they cut down on the penalties, don't you think?
  19. The weakest link in the Pats defense is the backfield. The Bills needed to challenge them downfield, but didn't have good enough protection let plays develop. Time for a roll-out!
  20. I hope you're wrong, but this could be a real problem.
  21. As Trey Wingo said, you don't treat the 2nd game like a playoff game. I'm worried that the team will be on an emotional rollercoaster. It's up to Ryan to control that.
  22. All true, but the Penalties were the story of the game. That's on Rex Ryan. 2 weeks in a row. The penalties not only killed anything the offense might get going, it repeatedly turned into great field position for the Pats.
  23. I like this thinking, but it doesn't sound as tuff and cool as "Ground & Pound". Mulligan blows.
  24. This is embarrassing. It's asking for an a&&-kicking.
  25. Next week will be a better measure of the team. They aren't ready at this point to knock off the top team, maybe by the playoffs.
