  1. So NOW, without deflated balls, or playbooks left behind in hotel rooms/locker rooms, they are still tearing up the league. And with everyone from ESPN, to the owners, to the commissioner, to the opposing players, all hating them, you think the officials (who they made look ridiculous by deflating footballs under their noses) are letting them get away with penalties?
  2. I happy with Roman, but it has only worked against the Colts, and what looked like a disinterested Dolphins defense. Many of the pass plays that were called against the Patriots seemed to take too long to develop. I'm excited, and think the Bills will continue to score a bunch of points, but in the wins they weren't challenged much. The Bengals and the Jets should be good tests.
  3. So all the owners and the Commissioner hate them, but the Refs love them?
  4. You just said "a DB won the the SB for them" in the same post as "it's a team game". One could easily say "Tom Brady gave the Patriots defense a lead, but they almost blew it".
  5. Miami is lame, and shallow. It's pretty much a porn set with retirees for extras.
  6. I think Brady is best, but Manning is outrageously great too! I will take Manning over Favre, Marino, Kelly, Elway, Aikman, Steve Young...on and on.
  7. Then it's not a prediction. I get it, no one wants to be wrong. Is there some kind of punishment meted out if you are wrong? Does anyone think their predictions are controlling the fate of the team? I will go out on a limb and say, PLAYOFFS! I never bought into the Trent Edwards teams, because even though they were winning, the offense sucked, and Trent never threw downfield. This team is a different beast. Loaded with talent, but they needed a QB. Taylor is way better than Trent Edwards.
  8. Grasping for straws. In fact you can't even find a straw, but you are convinced there is one out there to reach for. Sad.. Brady is throwing the ball to the right player pretty much every time, because he has been in the same system his whole career. So when the Bills offer up Kyle Williams as a pass defender, he knows where to go with it. And no amount of cheating is going to throw the ball accurately. The Belichick/Brady Patriots are the best organization that has ever competed in the NFL. I hate them, but it's true. If it were the Bills, I would be ecstatic, but it's not, it's the Patriots. This board is practically a Patriots board, with virtually EVERY thread at least mentioning them. That is how powerful they have been.
  9. Patriots Bills I don't care about any of the other teams, because I think the Bills would beat any of them 2 out of 3 times. They gotta figure out a way to beat the Patriots.
  10. So fans can't express disappointment with a player? Everyone agrees he is an incredible talent, but part of being "great" is actually playing in games, and catching passes. Apologists ("and have you seen his blocking? Woah!") only want to talk about his talent, and extrapolate his stats ("if he played in all the games, his stats would be awesome!"). I think he will have some great games, and I still expect him to be a great player, but so far there is no way to spin it, he hasn't been worthy of the extra #1 pick.
  11. What is wrong with people speculating about the the record? Speculation is the lifeblood of this forum, so all the "one game at a timers" should just sit this thread out. I think they will lose one before the Patriots game, but they have a favorable schedule. The Bengals game will be a good test, but I gotta favor the Bills at home.
  12. Judging by the loss to the Patriots, I think a Safety, or a Linebacker with excellent coverage skills would be nice, and of course O-linemen. After watching the Pats completely neutralize the D-line, I'm not convinced that it's a need. I like having a great D-line, but they attacked the LB's, and that will likely be where opponents will try to attack the rest of the season.
  13. Play of the game for me. It was the most perfect blitz I have ever seen.
  14. "Jerry Rice is also remembered for his work ethic and dedication to the game. In his 20 NFL seasons, Rice missed only 10 regular season games, 7 of them in the 1997 season, and the other 3 in the strike-shortened season of 1987. His 303 games are by far the most ever played by an NFL wide receiver."
  15. His tackling is so good, it really stands out.
  16. Haha, that was the main problem.
  17. Okay. It's not just the amount, it's when they occur. The poor drive starts (and good drive starts for the Pats) often came as a direct result of penalties.
  18. Are you in any way related to a guy named Martin McFly?
  19. One more reason not to like him. I hate the Cowboys more than any other NFL organization.
  20. Gronkowski had 7 catches for 113 yards. That leaves 350 yards to account for. Somebody somewhere played poorly even without Gronkowski's numbers.
  21. This is true, but then I guess I'm still not excited, because apparently having 2 studs at CB isn't enough to have an effective backfield. They need coverage LB's. I would have liked to see some harder hits on receivers too.
  22. I'd like to get excited, but the Bills just gave up 500 passing yards. I have to think that our "studs" at CB had something to do with it.
