  1. I think the injuries will serve as a rationalization for Pegula. But to me, it's clear that Ryan isn't getting the most out of the defense.
  2. If it's a "truth" then you should be able to prove it....but you can't. I don't like Rex's antics, at all. But not because of the other team's reactions, but because it effects his own team's focus, and attitude. I think the Jags had plenty of other things to motivate them, and that Marrone has probably never even spoken to most of the guys on their defense. Half the games each week involve a player or coach that played/worked for, or was cut/fired by one of the teams. Or the other team beat them badly previously, or any number of circumstances like that. If anybody should have been inspired by Marrone's presence, it should have been the Bills. But of course, they only would have said it if they won. Rex hurts his own team by making claims in the player's names. He tries to set the standards for the team with public proclamations. That is the problem with his antics.
  3. More 9-7 for a few years, then a coaching change. Get a nice player in free agency, lose a nice player to free agency. Fill one hole, open another. Hit on a low pick, lose another guy to nagging injuries, yada yada yada. Hopefully somewhere along the way, we get lucky and get a great QB.
  4. I'm not convinced. I am convinced that they were motivated by playing on an international stage, and having been kicked around all season. I'm also convinced that Marrone's knowledge about the Bills roster played a way bigger role than any "do it for Doug" inspiration. I'm also convinced that the 21 points that EJM provided, gave them a massive dose of inspiration. And if they lost, would anyone say, "they just didn't get enough inspiration from Marrone's presence"? And I don't need any more Marv Levy quotes.
  5. Okay, I won't. I'm sure they were fueled with desire to win for the grumpy O-line coach.
  6. Ha. Actually they did play like a 1-5 team, it's just that the Bills played worse! EJM spotted them 21 points! Yeah, I'm sure Marrone is suddenly beloved by his players, and they did it all for him.
  7. "Hey guys, they've earned it."
  8. Geezus, just admit it. They both suck! Cassel sucks, man.
  9. EJM should be in the past. There is no reason to discuss his positives. No matter how good a guy may be, he can't have the kind of lapse EJM had today (even if they had won). He can't handle the pressure, and once that is established, it's time to move on.
  10. I am here to admit that cutting Cassel, and keeping EJM was a mistake. Not because Cassel is any good, but EJM is not fit for the NFL. He crumbled.
  11. Did he say he was staying to get his degree, or is he just going to stay a year, and leave before he gets his degree? And if he is so serious about getting a degree, couldn't he just return later (like many other pro athletes do)? "Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain’t come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS ” — Cardale Jones, Twitter: October 5, 2012. I really doubt that getting a degree played a big part in his decision.
  12. With a new stadium likely (inevitably?) on the horizon, it would seem unlikely that they would want to replace the turf at RWS.
  13. The thing that upsets me is they aren't playing smarter, and if they haven't changed it yet, why would I expect it to improve later? I think they will make some changes to get the Dline more effective, but the penaties, and poor coaching decisions just seem inherent problems.
  14. I want EJM to start against the Jags. It is the perfect chance to let Tyrod get healthy. Of course, what I expect to happen is for Tyrod to take most of the 1st team reps, rush back, reinjure his leg during the Jags game, and be replaced by an EJM that hasn't been prepared. You dont know how the game would have unfolded if EJM started.
  15. They might not get to choose the replacement, but they can definitely contribute to getting one fired. Not that I expect Ryan to be fired any time soon.
  16. C'mon. There have been plenty of injuries with Tyrod out there...this team has some glass on the roster.
  17. I have been an EJM supporter, but Tyrod is probably better. We havent seen Tyrod with McCoy and Watkins in a while. His game will go up a notch with McCoy out there. When is Karlos gonna come back? Karlos and McCoy together makes a difference.:
  18. And let's not forget penalties. I was gonna say "Where do they rank there", then realized that its just another stat, like the rankings, that dont always tell the true story. I go by what I SEE, and what I see is a talented group, struggling, that doesnt seem to playing like the 6-7th best defense.
  19. Yeah, I'm just a little guy, so when I go out, I just wait until the bar clears and take home whatever's left. Here's to all the little guys. Cheers!
  20. Decent rankings, but what about turnovers? What about sacks, and tackles for a loss? Good defenses make big plays. This one is lacking.
  21. I can't see this team putting together 4 wins in a row.
  22. It's the emotional rollercoaster.
  23. I think he appeals to people that like the "tough guy" coach. I prefer the "smart guy" coach. I also heard a story about him throwing a player under the bus when he was a college assistant (I dont feel like typing it all out on my cellphone).
