Report: Fitzy to hit the market
Prickly Pete replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the surface it would seem like "If they could win with Manning's dead arm, Fitz could do at least as well", but then one realizes that Fitzlacksit crumbles in crunch time. He just can't handle it, and he always finds a way. -

Sounds cool. It immediately brought to mind another Sub Pop band, TAD. -

Alex Mack is opting out of his contract with the Browns

All the more reason to have two. That's probably why they aren't often drafted very high, huh? -

I said this years ago, and was shot down..."why change the position of the one guy that does the job well?"... because he is probably more valuable as a guard. The best (or at least a top 3) center will be available well after the 1st round. http://optimumscouting.com/rankings/static-rankings/center-rankings.html -

If Wood can play Guard at a decent level, why don't they draft a top prospect Center? Centers can be found without using a high pick. It would give them a strong backup at Center, and strengthen the line overall without spending big money on a free agent. -
All true, but playing for the Bills can do that to a player. Once they are paid, there isn't much left to play for beyond pride and glory. Not much glory playing for the Bills, and pride takes a beating when it's obviously all for naught. I think the realization that the Bills weren't contenders again, despite the hype, had a lot to do with the performance of the defense. I think it struck them just as it struck many fans. Maybe if they had beaten the Patriots in that first game, their fortunes would have been completely different. I expect him to sign with a contender, and be an important player for them.

Gee, this retort is still funny the 15th time in this thread. Thanks for the chuckle. -

Thanks, but I actually don't like Malkmus's bands at all. He falls into that category of artists/bands that I would read about, and expect to be right up my alley, but do nothing for me (or actually grate). The Replacements, REM, Big Star, Pavement...I don't like any of them, or find them mediocre. RTX, though plenty misses the mark (they are so radically experimental, I can't see anyone actually enjoying their entire canon...even the band members themselves), suit me fine. When it works, it's glorious. -

I'm done with your opinions, they are just contrarian. You're blocked.

I can't believe anyone would consider Orton's performance as a Bill, to be better than Tyrod's. Please, someone come forward to agree with FireChan...I wanna see what comes out from under a rock.

yeah, I was thinking the same thing...it's just like that.

It's 2 guys, who are trying to get their names in the papers, and probably not reflective of the concerns or attitudes of most of the population (ha, maybe ANY of the rest of the population). I'm gonna guess that most couldn't give the slightest ****. More over reaction to click bait...again, it's two "lawmakers", but somehow the reaction is "those damn Brits, meddling in our affairs"...silliness.

Maybe, but regardless Whaley certainly has a big influence on who gets signed, who is released, who is kept, and determining their worth, no? Is that crazy talk? Perhaps my terminology was misappropriate ("Salary Cap skills")...my apologies. Nice to see you again, Greggy!
-
I pretty much feel the same way about Taylor, but I like Whaley (he didn't give Mario Williams or Fitz all that money), though I think his eye for talent might be better than his Salary Cap skills.

I don't have a strong opinion either way, but feel that if the Native People generally find it offensive, get rid of it ("Warriors" would be better, for sure). However, I get the feeling that it's actually just being used as a "hot topic" because it's the NFL, and there is such a large audience. As soon as the name is changed, there will quickly be another issue raised, to take it's place. Basically, I think it's being used to bring attention to Native issues in general (many of which are undoubtedly legitimate), and it might not actually be a huge issue to Natives. Of course, most wouldn't likely admit that, it's not the party line, and they have been getting lots of media attention from it, so the Councils will naturally emphasize it's importance to their people (and the media). And it's hard to gauge how much their situation will be improved by any name change...I think not at all, and the next hot issue might not have as broad impact as an issue with a giant like the NFL...so that could mean even less coverage (the complaint box is starting to overflow, so SJW attention might be hard to hold). It's disappointing that a football team's name seems to be the primary vehicle to draw media coverage, when there are much more important Native issues that should be considered worthy of attention.

How does a team that pays it's QB's peanuts, and hasn't made the playoffs in 17 years, end up with the "worst cap situation in the league"?
-
okay... Richardson is listed as a DT, the Jets were already set at linebacker, we don't know who else they might have selected, and...the Jets still suck. So yeah, they might have improved the team more with a different selection. He is also a pain in the ass, and will likely surpass Mario in that area before his career is through... http://nypost.com/2015/10/18/the-time-is-now-for-sheldon-richardson-to-finally-grow-up/ Update: He has already way surpassed Mario in that area... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2535585-sheldon-richardson-arrested-after-going-143-mph-latest-details-on-jets-dt He is a raging idiot.
