I merely pointed out some of the circumstances, and then was dismissed or attacked, so I defended myself. When someone tries to dismiss a point, I return with a counterpoint, but I'm not trying to convince anyone that a trade is the right thing, or that I think it is destined to happen. Just that it's not a ridiculous proposition, considering the circumstances. On the other hand, you seem driven to convince everyone that Tyrod is a superstar in waiting.

You mean the leaders Tyrod's agent just blamed? The leaders that have contributed to a 20 year playoff drought, and another season of mediocrity? The underperforming defensive leaders? I don't think the Bills WANT to trade Tyrod, but if he is being difficult, wants to leverage a trade, and they like one of the QB's in the draft, and some of the other things that have been discussed happen, then they might feel trading him is their best option.

Meh. I have stated a few dozen times that "I DON'T WANT THEM TO TRADE TYROD". And "I LIKE TYROD". You are so committed to defending him, that you see attacks on Tyrod where none is intended. I'm just observing that the situation could develop into a trade, and if it did, these are the teams I would expect to be involved.

I'm telling ya, a 3-team, draft day trade isn't outlandish. Buffalo gets the Eagles pick at 8, for the Broncos 31st and Bills 19th, and Denver gets Tyrod (maybe some other picks balancing the trade). http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/25547293/follow-the-money-in-philly-eagles-are-likely-trading-down-for-more-picks The draft value chart is pretty much spot on.

I think it's incredibly competitive, and you have to maintain your edge. For a QB, other coaches are working hard to uncover weaknesses in your game, and a QB has to increase his repertoire of throws, and plays to counter. But mostly I think it's about staying hungry, and working just as hard to develop even after some success. what he said.

I doubt the Bills want to trade him, but I don't doubt that they want to get better at QB, and might view Tyrod as a placeholder. I want them to keep Tyrod, and draft another QB, high. They are scouting QB's that are likely to go in the 1st round. Tyrod is in an odd spot, contract-wise. Tyrod and his agent's perception could be that the Bills are likely to replace him after this season, so in conjunction with all the circumstances (the Broncos situation, his contract, etc), I could see how Tyrod might want to make a leap to the Broncos. An opportunity as good as this likely won't be available next season, or after he has been tagged.

Actually, Gruden said he "is gonna be perhaps the best". He could, perhaps, say that about any of the QB's.

Next year's first (which is likely low pick), and this years 32nd isn't enough to get them up into the top 10. I can't see a team doing that trade. Denver needs a reasonably developed QB right away. AND, they might like a QB from this draft, but they might not want to waste a season developing him. I already laid this out in previous posts. Sammy is gonna leave after his first deal is up anyway. -

I don't want them to, but as far as I'm concerned, I am just discussing how/why a trade might be made. -

Denver is both desperate for a QB, and "ready to go", the Bills are a ways away. In this situation, a deal could be a "win/win" for both teams. Denver doesn't want to waste their defense while waiting for an unknown quantity to develop. How could Denver draft one of the highly ranked QB's in this draft? And how do you know they wouldn't if they could? -

I would be surprised to hear he is holding out, too! But I didn't say he was gonna hold out, I said Tyrod and/or his agent might be interested in a trade to Denver, and they might be acting difficult to encourage it. That is way different than "holding out". And the QB situation in Denver is completely different than it was last year. Tyrod would start. Last year, he woul.....blahblahblah...go back and read my posts so I don't have to repeat simple arguments. -

Yeah, now he can start, that wasn't going to happen with Manning there, and he probably thought Osweiler would get first shot. Things have changed... If anything, that shows they had interest even before his success in Buffalo. -
Ha. Nope. Maybe you guys need me to soften my language. Is it beyond the pale to think that Tyrod considers Kubiak to be a better coach than Wrex, and the Broncos a better organization than the Bills? I think we can generally agree that it's possible. Who would you (and your agent) rather play for, the SB Champs and perennial winner with a giant fanbase, or the team with a 20 year playoff drought, in the middle of a rebuild? Which team offers more monetary opportunity, winning opportunity, post-career opportunity, etc.? Yeah, I think you know the answer. As far as tampering...it happens all the time. But perhaps I should instead say that, knowing what the Broncos offered Osweiler, Tyrod, his agent, the Bills, and the fans, all know how much money they have to spend, and are willing to spend on a QB. Is that wrong? As far as why it's a factor that Kubiak and Tyrod have a relationship, that should be obvious. It means that Kubiak knows first hand what Tyrod is like, and what he is capable of. It's not like Kubiak has to rely only on film, or the opinions of others. That's pretty important, no? And of course, no one touched on my statement that the Bills are clearly scouting QB's that are expected to go higher than 19th in the draft. I'm not claiming that they will make the trade, just that the circumstances aren't too outlandish for the trade to happen. Hardly "meteor falling on me" type crazy talk.

Just because Wrex likes Tyrod, doesn't mean Tyrod thinks Wrex is a good coach, who is building a winner. The quote from the agent about discipline and defense, pretty much laid it on Wrex. According to the draft value chart, the Bills could get up around 7, 8, 9th pick range...San Fran, Philly, and Tampa, all NFC teams that wouldn't mind helping Denver or the Bills as much as an AFC team. I could easily see TB making that deal, they have a QB.
