Any kind of "managerial" expressions, used in casual, informal discussions. Things like "moving forward" It grates even in a workplace setting, but when it has seeped into a person's private life, I can't help but avoid ever talking to that person again.

I think Steve Tasker is an awful color analyst, and overrated as a player. I think many fans identify with this average sized, over-achieving white guy, so they cherish the idea that he is a Hall of Famer.

Didn't see the game, did Robert Woods contribute anything?

Cook was way more accomplished than JP Losman in college. I'm not basing my opinion on the pre-season, but he has looked pretty good, just as I expected him to. We shall see if he can be a leader, but to just declare "guy is not a leader" so assuredly from where we sit, is foolishness. He has had plenty of success, "leader" or not, and I expect that to continue. But keep the opinions to the contrary coming, it will give me at least a fraction of happiness when he turns out to be a star, to counter the frustration of the Bills not going after him in the draft.

I'm still pissed they didn't select Connor Cook. He is going to be a very good pro.

Yeah, I'm thinking he will likely be dealing out more than he'll be receiving.

That's good to hear. I should add that Tyrod might not even be the main culprit, and that Roman could be the root of the problem. When I read that all 3 of the QB's struggled at the 2-minute (it seemed to be EJM's biggest strength, under Marrone), it makes me at least question Roman's approach. Regardless of where the blame lay, it's crucial that it improves.

Thx Astro! Tyrod has to get the 2-minute offense going, it's crippling if a team can't score quickly at the end of games. They sucked at it last season, and many said "well, he didn't have a full camp". No excuse this season.

What I didn't understand was his opinion that Ragland not playing won't make much difference, but at the same time emphasizing how important the draft is.

If Robert Woods gets 80 receptions this season, the Bills won't make the playoffs.

Which team would that be? A really bad team.

I would like to see a compilation of Robert Woods' "big plays", cuz I'm not seeing what many here are so excited about (though "legitimate starter" isn't exactly effusive). It's not like he makes incredible plays when he gets the chance, but just needs more throws to go his way. His YAC is terrible (career -178th, 105th, 180th). He is "just a guy".

Is there some kind of time limit for a player to become ineligible, or at least not have a snowball's chance in hell of getting in to the HoF? I'm looking forward to that day as it pertains to Steve Tasker. The arguments have already been laid out (like 2 or 3 threads every year), and thankfully, despite his fairly consistent exposure nationally as an announcer/NFL personality (a big help in gaining votes), he remains on the outside. Good. He's not worthy.

I'll just take Belichick and whoever his current coordinators are.

It may not be bold, but I expect the offense to produce about the same as it did last season. I don't think Tyrod will show much improvement. I like Tyrod, but I don't think there is any more to his game than we have seen already.

GreggyT (aka "Deranged Rhino")...great insight for such a young boy. Usually, it seems like he doesn't know what he is talking about, and other times he misses the mark completely, but every once in a while he merely seems misguided.

I really think it is mostly about "the coaching fraternity", and guys helping each other, and I doubt it has much impact on a team's success. Some owners may be more (or less) tolerant of the "buddy system".
