  1. Ugh. There is no shortage of information concerning race relations. No shortage of news footage of racial conflicts. No shortage of racial dissension documented in any culture's historical writings. What there is a shortage of, is nations where a diversity of races and religions, without a clear majority, is operating without serious conflict among it's people. Why that is, I don't know.
  2. I'm doing fine. I give everyone I meet respect.
  3. That is the prevailing attitude of Mexicans I encounter. If you can't understand why I wouldn't want millions more people with this attitude becoming US citizens, then I don't know what else to say.
  4. Magox just chided me for using anecdotal evidence. I think all groups have the same fundamental wants. But denial that people give preference to others that are most similar to themselves is ridiculous. There is no reason for me to re-write a book across a 100 posts. http://www.latinorebels.com/2014/08/29/latinos-and-the-resentment-toward-whites/ (it's a quick read, TakeYouToTasker) This is pretty much the attitude I encounter. No, I'm not asking Latino's walking in the mall for their opinions on race relations, or interviewing a broad range of people. The opinions I get are mostly from young Mexicans who consider themselves socially conscious. But I also overhear conversations among older Mexicans, and having worked at a company of over 400 people (mostly Mexican and Philippino) as one of the few white employees, I had plenty of opportunity to gain some understanding of their attitudes. I wasn't mistreated, but they were conscious of my presence, and often openly discussed race relations. I had a great time working there, it should be noted.
  5. Let's start here.... http://www.ifs.org.uk/uploads/publications/wps/WP201530.pdf
  6. I doubt this discussion will change anyone's opinion.
  7. No one actually wants to dispute my claim that most Mexicans feel this country was taken from them. Surely one of you that disputes my broad claim can come up with a better estimate of Mexicans that feel that way? I really want to know what YOUR estimate is, cuz that attitude is inarguably one taken by some percentage of the population.
  8. Somehow I find it hard to believe that the benefits of increased numbers of a minority racial/cultural group to it's members, need to be explained. Aside from the Catholic angle (abortion, in particular), Latinos vote Democrat because that party supports immigration, social services, and affirmative action. Or maybe that's more crazy talk.
  9. Increased political power for Latinos, firstly. Identity politics is determining policies. It's like asking "how would a Muslim benefit by having more Muslims in the US?"....I'm sure virtually every Muslim would say "yes, it would benefit me and my people! Or is that crazy talk? Latinos (all "people of color") pretty much vote Democrat, and that party has turned into "the anti-straight white male party". Why would immigration be important to Magox, if he didn't expect to benefit in some way?
  10. You are too close be objective...you are Latino. You would benefit from having more Latinos here. I am fine with people that have been here for a long time, staying. People arrested for violent crime? OUT. Tighten the border? YES I don't believe that Trump would try to deport people that are established in this country, I think he is trying to establish a starting point for negotiating (just like the car salesman he is, at heart). And even if he did try, it would never pass. There won't be jackbooted Deportation Squads, knocking down doors to pull apart families, etc. I should say that I consider the treatment of migrant farm workers akin to slavery in many cases, and am completely in favor of changing that situation. As I mentioned, my wife and 3 kids, and her family...all Latino. My social group is 3/4 Latino, I have no problem with Latinos, and consider them to be....PEOPLE! I am always astonished when I hear them make some kind of distinction about "white people", because they act just like the white folks I grew up around, yet they somehow think there is a big difference. And vice-versa, when I'm in Buffalo.
  11. Where did you get the idea that Sanders was pro open borders. How about knowing WTF you are talking about, before posting a challenge? https://berniesanders.com/open-borders-a-gimmick-not-a-solution/ https://mises.org/library/bernie-koch-brothers-and-open-borders My main problem with Sanders was that it felt like he was just offering giveaways, without having any way to actually pay for it all. I don't think Sanders would have called for amnesty, and a huge influx of Muslims, like Hillary. I'm not worried about Sharia Law any time soon, but if there was a massive influx, in a couple generations, there would definitely be big problems. But of course, I'm just some raging racist for recognizing that there is clearly a huge culture clash happening in Europe, and that it's driving people to support far-right parties. I stand by my assertion that the reason so many Latinos support immigration, is because they want to benefit themselves. And that basically, they all believe that this country was taken from them. I live in LA, I have no idea where you live, but unless it's in Southern California, I doubt you have a truer perspective than I do. If there was say, a massive nuclear meltdown, or some other disaster, and there were millions of Swedes (the REAL Swedes) that needed to migrate, I'm certain that support for their immigration would not come from Latinos, or Blacks. Suddenly, it would be "racist" to support immigration. You only attack other people, yet when I ask for your positions, you flee.
  12. I wasn't a supporter before, but if he were still in the race, I would vote for him. It would be such a different situation with him in the mix.
  13. I'll take another Great Depression to work our way out of, over another Great Depression with the demographics of the country irrevocably altered.
  14. "Hookers" is probably the wrong term. I'm thinking more like "groupies", not paid directly, just all expenses paid, gifts, favors.
  15. I'm convinced that Bill and Trump have slapped hi-fives at a country club, in a suite filled with top rate hookers. Trump had been a Clinton supporter. Hillary probably loathes Bill, and winced whenever he would be hanging out with Trump. But then, Hillary has Huma to comfort her. I don't think Trump wanted to drag Bill through the mud. They are pretty much birds of a feather (Bill couldn't be as crude, because he was in politics).
  16. Haha, are you an overweight, bald man, with a mustache and glasses by any chance, B-Man?
  17. I'm happy with the win, but every team goes back to practice and works to improve what they didn't do well, no? Some people like to discuss aspects of the team's play that they feel needs to improve.
  18. If only one of those women would have wept uncontrollably, while pointing at HillBilly. Hillary's pulls out the "feels" any chance she can (she's so compassionate), with references to the photo of the dead children in Syria (with a little help from Raddatz). I would have expected Trump to respond with a mention of the child run over in Nice, or other victims of terrorism. There is no shortage of tragedy from either angle.
  19. Wrex has never been good with clock management, and never will be. Sadly, the best I expect is "not too bad". Yeah, guys like Bill Belichick. A good team is competing with themselves as much as with the other team, constantly honing their performance, raising their standard of play. The idea is to eliminate mistakes, and fine tune the machine. These Bills have plenty to work on.
  20. Some encouraging developments in this game. The defensive front 7 looks loaded, when you consider the guys that aren't playing yet. They might be a bit overloaded even. A good road win. But still, they are basically even matched with the LA Rams, and that's not very impressive. They still need another WR, even with Watkins. Watkins is a great weapon when he is actually healthy, but that's part of the problem, and the reason why an "average" #2 like Woods, isn't good enough. Woods' supporters will claim he is a solid #2, but with Watkin's always battling some kind of ailment, the #2 guy needs to be a bit better than what Woods has been, because it sure seems like there will be lots of occasions where the #2, will need to be #1. Goodwin isn't very good. He is a 2nd rate Roscoe Parrish. They will let him walk, and of course, use the 1st pick on a CB! This offense needs some talent at WR and Oline, but I expect Wrex to insist on a CB.
  21. How do you get satisfaction from these missteps, when the Patriots continue to dominate? It just seems so silly to act like they are somehow inept, while our team has gone from blunder to blunder, and has been a joke for nearly 20 years.
  22. I list this... And you only respond to coughing and passing out. Hillary's suspect health isn't something that was cooked up here at Two Bills Drive. We aren't the only people that have considered the points I listed, to be suspicious. But I think you are bored, and are more interested in bickering, than considering any evidence. Cancel my order, Chef. I didn't say she has Parkinson's, though. And neither did the guy in the video. I said I believe she has some kind of disorder, or disease.
  23. I didn't reach the conclusion from any Youtube video. It's been apparent that something is wrong for a while. So you will "make the judgement" when they hold a press conference to announce her condition? What choice do they have at this point? Her family? I don't think she is ready for hospice or something. Just in the early stages. Her whole life has been dedicated to this opportunity, and if she can walk, she will be out there. These are massive stakes, and there was no one else (obviously, the Democratic Party was not down with Sanders) to run with. The whole Hillary Machine has been planning this campaign for years. No choice but to continue. She just wants to get through the election, and then they will prop her up (like FDR, and Reagan) as long as they can, while her staff makes the decisions.
